    After I receive my visa I plan to stay till our 2nd marriage anniversary (which will be about 2 months away) before I travel to the US just like Mo did so I get IR1 instead of CR1.
    Do I have to draw their attention that we have been married 2 years at the POE or they will definitely ask for our marriage certificate? Also did you pay the immigration fee before Mo travelled or you paid after he got there?

    • @Marriedtotheculture
      @Marriedtotheculture  Год назад +2

      Hi, they will ask for marriage certificate which should verify your length of marriage. But you can ask if they don’t mention it to verify you’re getting IR1. We paid the fee a few days after he got here but you can pay before you leave. It’s up to you. Congratulations!! 🎊🎈🎉🍾

    Hey brother Mohammed please can you help with this I went for my interview on 21th of last month the interview was successful be they gave me a white paper stating on it that the case is going for further administrative process and they did not requested any additional documents a bit worried how long does it for that process in Ghana thank you

    • @Marriedtotheculture
      @Marriedtotheculture  Год назад

      Hi, when it’s in administrative review the timeframe will vary depending on your case. It can take a few weeks or months. Typically, they like to complete the administrative review within a 90 day window but some cases could take longer. Hopefully, yours goes quickly. Usually, it’s something they want to investigate further so hopefully they get their answers quickly. Just continue to follow up to get the status of your case. Wishing you all the best.

    Wow good information. Do you think I should get a lawyer for this process to bring my fiancé from Ghana? It seems very tough

    • @Marriedtotheculture
      @Marriedtotheculture  Год назад

      Hi! I would suggest a lawyer if you have a difficult case (i.e., criminal background, previous visa overstayed or have sponsored someone before, etc.,) It can be done on your own, I used visajourney.com to help me, but it’s really a personal decision. If you feel more comfortable with an immigration lawyer and you feel that’s best for you and your family then do that. The best choice is what YOU decide. Don’t let anyone make you think otherwise. Wishing you all the best!

      You have to pay the USCIS immigrant fee for them to physically make the GC for you. I paid it about 3 days after he got here. Here’s the link:

      @@nchongagbor3723 ok, the officer’s questions will come from ALL the forms that you complete and submit (form DS-260, I-130 form, etc,.). Anything you submit including pictures and other evidence the questions can come from as well as any other questions that may not be related to what was submitted. The officer can ask you basically anything he feels necessary. Just be honest and forthcoming with your answers because any questions they ask most likely they already know the answer and are trying to see if you’re going to be truthful.
