- Do your hips pull away from the wall when swapping feet in a bunched up frog position? It might be a combo of limited flexibility AND strength holding you back.
Here are Coach Fran’s top 3 exercises to help:
1️⃣ Butterfly Stretch
Sit with feet together, knees apart. Add light weights to your knees and pulse: lift on the inhale, drop on the exhale.
⚡️3 sets of 6 reps
2️⃣ Pigeon Pose Elevated
Elevate your leg on a bench or platform so that it is about 90 degrees in front of you. Fold towards your leg and hold.
⚡3 sets of 30 sec reps
3️⃣ Clam Openers
Lie on your side with your knees bent. Place a weight on your top leg and lift it, inhaling as you lift and exhaling as you lower. Keep your hips steady to avoid tilting throughout the movement. Select a rep range that brings on a localised burning sensation.
⚡2/3 sets of 6-12 reps
