If your roll/loop is kind of “off” as it was here on the 8beat loop, you can half it to 4 beats & it will get rid of the bit that’s off. In a way you’re sort of “editing” it 👍

I do something similar to add a "third channel" to my XDJ-RX. I grab a roll with either channel one or two selected then move the roll into the master. Then you can use the level/depth knob to act as a sort of fader.
If you have an even number bpm track...say 120 bpm and half the time division to 60 on the roll effect, you get double the roll sample length.

Hi. I got this problem before as well. When I introduced a second song, the overall bolume got lowered. What helped was to decrease the volume of the master level inob. Hope it can be to help!

Ellaskins, of Jonathan I have a question about the XDj-XZ‘s Quality over Time.
Personal background:
I have My First unit replaced due to an fault y USB A Port, the Right One for the Recording. The port was broken only after a Couple weeks of light use!
So i recieved max Second completely new Unit.
Yesterday, my legt Jog-Adjust knob just fell apart in my hands! I used it 2 of three times, Right in the beginning of the XZ’s Life cycle!!
Wtf....
So my question is:
What do you think about the quality of the Unit in general.
Is it only a personal problem of mine, or could it be that the whole XZ unit could be of lesser quality, than for example an CDj 2000 NXS, or other pioneer products.

hello please, my xdj master cues are always on even when cues are turned off. if i turn off mid hi low even though the cue button is not active but why is it still working? Is this an error? or do you have to set something up?
Thanks. Is this really practical in terms of a mix though? Is it true that pioneer removed the option to have all for Channel through a firmware update. That is shocking if so.
I used to do similar with the sampler on the DJM600, and the same with the 800 onwards
*Chris W* I do the same with my DJM400. It’s only 2 channel though so when I have it looped I set the channel select knob to microphone. Works a treat!

The Prime 4 plays 4 channels from usb without gimmicks.
@@xenoblack3 Yes, but many DJ are too much into Pioneer and Pioneer only...in fact, they're actually so much into only considering Pioneer that some people and even DJ news websites said "Finally a professional 4-channel controller" eventhough Prime 4 was released for already 8 months !
I've seen people doing this trick and I was totally confused about what's going on. I even suspected there's some kind of sampler/looper connected on the third channel.

That means the software can reach those channels. Why could 4 channels not be in a software update?
Some posts in these comments say it was on there at some point and pioneer removed it. I would love to hear their defense on this. Absolutely shocking. Promising hopefully if we pressurise them they can add it.

I’m just hoping and wishing for a new firmware update that lets you double tap shift to change to decks 3&4 . When they originally dropped, that’s how they were
It's already out, but for software only, i think for the hardware is it impossible, because only channel 1/2 are designed to work with usb
Makise Kurisu yea I already updated mine with the new firmware. But , when the first ones dropped in November of 2019, you were able to double tap shift to access 3 & 4 from USB.
Now it only works like that if you play on laptop from Rekordbox or Serato.
I’m sure they could make an update that could do that 🤷🏽♂️ I dunno though

@@j.gray_463dnb5 They purposely disabled access to 3 and 4 to force loyal customers to buy a pair of CDJs.
The Prime 4 costs a lot less and doesn't disable 4 channel capacity.
