Great video and information! It must be nice to create video content in your own comfort zone where you're relaxed. I say that because I caught a screenshot at 13:41 of you in your socks. Not an issue at all, I previously assumed you were in a company or corporate setting for filming your content. LOL! Again, great video!
Very happy I bought the 3000’s over another controller. I’m certain by the end of the year a new controller will be out that makes me kick myself but, whatever.
DDJ-400 is a small 2 channel, Nexus layout entry level controller for rekordbox. DDJ-FLX6 is a step up in the following: 2 additional channels for a total of 4, larger jog wheels, new merge FX section, jog cutter, sample scratch, and Serato/rekordbox compatibility. I don't think there is much to compare for a video. FLX6 definitely is the bigger version with more features.
I love how everyone calls certain effects that James Hype takes a lot of advantage of to guys style when these effects have been around for 20 years lol whatever. Still love your videos and I know it's just a joke. As a dj I do agree that you should not overdo effects of any kind.
Hi there :) Its a very nice video and very useful!!! Thanks :) I have one question... You said CDJ3000 do an music processing, "up scaling"... Just the CDJ3000 does or any other equipment also? like Denon SC6000?
Because of it’s MPU, the CDJ-3000 does resolution upscaling to 96khz in real-time. I know some folks find this difficult to believe, but the process is called “interpolation”. It basically takes the step points in a waveform and creates new ones in between, smoothening the line. Similar technology is done in video. A technique called “optical flow” can increase the frame rate. As well as interpolation call smoothen and sharpen a 1080p footage to 4K. (Check out Topaz Labs). The CDJ-3000 does this in real time upon song load. It’s most apparent by the cleaner sound time-stretching at extreme tempo values when Master Tempo is enabled. While this upscaling is essentially AI generated, it doesn’t claim to be the same quality as an actual music file recorded and rendered at 96khz. Rather, it is a close approximation given the data. It’s most useful with MP3 files because you hear the biggest difference, especially with time stretching.
I want to se the RX3 to stream on twitch, I stilll want to DJ as standalone without using any software on the computer but I need to send audio through the computer into OBS.. can this be done with the RX3? Does anyone know?
So the first point mentioned was, the RX3 has no DJ Pro Link. Can someone name me a actual use case for the RX3 a 2-Channel Controller, where a Pro Link would be needed?
For a CDJ and DJM setup, Pro DJ LINK can be used not only for linking CDJs, but syncing the DJS-1000 as well as connecting CDJs to a network to access CloudDirectPlay and StreamDirectPlay.
@@priyonjoni So if the RX3 had a Pro Link, you would be able to connect additional Hardware like Samplers or to connect it to a network for Cloud Play. Makes sense now, thanks!
i don’t get what’s the difference between the 4 - 8 beat loop buttons on the CDJ-3000 and the cue/loop call buttons…was it really necessary to introduce 2 more buttons that are basically the same commands as what was already existing?
“Loop call” summons a saved loop. That’s a loop specific to a section in the song with a specific loop length. 4 beat and 8 beat loop buttons instantly loop the section at the point of trigger.

Pri, is there a way to set an active loop on the CdJ 3000 without prepping it in rekordbox first and then exporting it to the USB? Trying to figure out if I can create active loops on the fly. Thanks, your videos are always great!
Yes. There are two dedicated buttons for loop on the left side. There is a 4 beat loop and an 8 beat loop button. Once a loop is engaged, those buttons become a half and double time button for the loop. There is also an accessible Beat Loop menu on the touch display that allows you to access even more loop lengths. And lastly, you still have the amber manual loop buttons.
