Yamaha Rhino Belt Replacement

In this video, we demonstrate how to change the drive belt on a Rhino and what tools you'll need. This video was filmed using a 450 Rhino but will be very similar on the Rhino 500 660 700. We've listed some of our best belt recommendations below.

Do the clutch nuts need to be torqued to a certain spec? Should lock-tite be added to the clutch nuts?

If you are struggling getting the cover out because of clearance the frame unbolts and makes life easier. Just remove 4 12mm head bolts.

Are al that bushes dry or can you put ghries on it

Is there supposed to be a washer before the nut on the clutch shaft? The parts diagram shows one but I didn’t see one in this video.

Make sure your clutch primary splines are engaged or your nut will back off and it will strip your splines and cause a fire, then you’ll have to buy a new spline plate. It’s $60 and takes a week to arrive. Found out the hard way.

I replaced my belt and slid the belt as far as it would go down on the primary clutch. I see this one is pretty much at the top. Maybe that's why it broke lol. Whoops.

Circulates air going into the box, keeps clutch system cool.
