    I watched this video 3 or 4 times before deciding to buy the belt and do this myself. After watching the video, I bought the Hunterworks belt and clutch puller and it was as easy as described! I even used the dreaded impact method!! This video was the reason Hunterowrks got my business. Thanks again.

    Thank you for the video for it was easy to follow. I do have one strong suggestion though and that is maybe add a highlight to the video where you are reinstalling the six bolts on the clutch cover to make sure you line up the X on the cover to the X on the stationary sheaves. I did this thinking I would have to pull the primary clutch cover off again but by shear luck I lined up the X correctly. Just suggestion and other than great videos for Im getting educated fast on the services on my RZR.

    I leave the secondary unbolted, and put the belt on with the secondary open to save from twisting the belt back on. Same way you took the belt off by unbolting the secondary works for putting it back on with ease.

    • @Hunterworks
      @Hunterworks  3 года назад +1

      Maybe for you but if done wrong, the belt sits low in the secondary, when you tighten it, it tightens against the belt, then when you drive it, the belt moves up and the secondary is loose. If done correctly it can be done and you seem to know that method, but not one we would show anyone, too much liability for us using that method

Every since I got my 2014 Polaris Ranger 900 Crew back, If I hit brakes going forward or reverse, the majority of the times, the engine dies. It almost seems as if the clutch is not releasing the belt or something. Any ideas what could have happened? I took it back to the dealer today, but I just need an insight before they call me telling me I need more parts or service. Let me know. Thanks.

      Your supposed to break in your belt before you go full throttle or submarine it

    What are your thoughts on driving your RZR without the belt cover?

    How much do you charge to change the belt and go from square pucks to the round ones..also is it better to put a clutch kit in one and does it help the low end a lil better or not...

      We don't offer the service to do it, just videos and the parts. Clutch kit depends, have a new video whether you need one or not. Look on our channel for it

    Hello, I’ve been struggling to pull off my primary for a couple hours now. It got submerged and think that it’s rusted shut. My puller is good but not sure if impact is strong enough. Any suggestions? Already tried the hammer and don’t want to do the grease bomb trick.

      If the hammer deal does not work, you have nothing to lose trying any other method before cutting it off.

    Hey what's going on I have a 2006 Polaris ranger 500 and I keep blowing belts up and destroying them I blew out my clutch with air to clean it do you think it can be the spring in the clutch or the clutch weights when I'm heading the gas on the Polaris sometimes it's having trouble on engaging the belt I was looking at so sometimes it was sticking a little bit and I'm afraid to step on the gas thinking I'm going to blow a belt

      mud life Junkie PR I’ve never looked at a 500 clutch but in this situation always best to put your eyes on all parts of both clutches

      @@Hunterworks yeah the person I bought the Polaris ranger from he used to drive it with no clutch cover case I was thinking the clutch might be done for because all the dirt and grime probably went in between the weights and everythingit didn't seem like it had too much power when I was driving it at mudfest this past if I change that clutch completely springs weights complete clutch it should give me more power right

    If I am replacing the primary and secondary clutch do in need a torque wrench to hit the foot pounds???

    • @dwarden3
      @dwarden3 4 года назад +1

      Ideally yes, they are not very expensive for piece of mind. Plus you WILL use them ALL the time once you get used to them. Run them on w/ impact then finish w/ torque. EZ!
