Having a new machine is awesome, but if you can’t afford one, you can still get out on the trails and enjoy yourself! These things ruled the backroads not to long ago, and are still very capable and affordable.
I have rode all types of machines over the years.. Had fun on all of them, just some are more fun than others..!! Took one of my ol Big Red threewheelers riding New Years Day.. Had a blast..!! 👍👍👍
Sold mine for $3800, I put over 3 thousand dollars into it and bought it for $4800. Not a good profit at all but I was hurting for money, what I planned on doing with it is swap out with a Y1, long travel, fox suspension, much more. One of these days imma buy it back and do what I have planned, Let god hear me on this one.
Back in the quad riding days We would have 4 big guys in a rhino at dumont years before the rzrs and can am's came out. Going round and around bowls trying to get out🤣 only blew 1 belt in that rhino🤣 we always scream ,RHINO MIGHT as we climbed stuff.🤣🤣 good memories. 👍👍
Went for a rip on some fire roads last week with ours. The guys I was with have all the cool new stuff but at the end of the day we were just cruising around having a good time..one of them finally just said..man this is perfect for this type of stuff.
Yamaha rhino's are flooding the used market here in California. I was able to get a little fixer upper, nothing major just usual maintenance stuff and cosmetic issues, for $1500. Clean title and tags current. However you can get some real nice rhinos for 3-5k range all day long. Their engines are rock solid, and parts are cheap and plentiful.
It's true I have buds who won't get into it cause they don't wanna or can't spend 20g. But there are some choices of old reliables to play on. Old teryx's too
I have a 2009 700 that we bought a couple of years ago. Runs great - just a little maintenance on it. We use it on our hobby farm. It goes everywhere - no problem. Wish I had a couple more.
@@DUNEATV well its always good to learn how to rebuild stuff, and now you havr an excuse to hop it up a little, maybe a supercharger or something😂 good luck man

Hi I just resurrected a 2005 rhino from the dead. are they supposed to be yell at the passenger loud when driving down the road. It has 27" tires and goes 40mph maxed out and just screams. Ive replaced the wet clutch and rebuilt the primary but it just seems like too much rpm/noise for how fast youre going.
Yes that is normal if it is stock. There is a aftermarket clutch sheave that can give you more takeoff power and higher RPM. There are also aftermarket CDI boxes that allow the engine to rev higher. In the meantime you can try putting a slightly bigger tire on it. They were very loud clunky machines but were built like a tank.
@@nomadchad8243 Yes, the Rhino was obviously built years ago and you just have to enjoy it for what it is. It won’t keep up with today’s side-by-side‘s but it is also a fraction of the cost. If you maintain it you will probably sell it for more than you paid.
Fun can be had....wouldnt wanna hit crown king in it. Lolol. I kept my 900s for the very reason of it being very capable and when my x3 breaks...ironically , my x3 has been broke since the day after i bought it. Bout time on a new vid btw!!! Lololol
I heard the typical "ratcheting" sound when you rolled back on the first attempt and @ 3:15 going downhill and applying the brakes. Nobody has ever been able to definitively tell me what causes it. From all the reading I have done in forums and on RUclips, they claim it is a rear brake issue. Nonetheless, it allegedly doesn't affect performance. It is always going downhill and applying the brakes.
I bought one brand new in 2005 and it made that same noise. This is a buddy of mine driving his...he just bought it the day we filmed this. Just testing it out...
