Way back in September of 2023, I started this whole drum cover video thing. I had never made a video for a project before. I had never heard of, let alone used Adobe Premiere Pro. I had some familiarity with Pro Tools. I knew how to set up an audio interface, link it up to my computer and pro tools, hook up some mics, assign them a designated channel, establish phantom power at -48db to the the right channels depending on if it was a condenser vs dynamic mic, and hit record-enable.
I knew all that. I had no idea how I was going to record video at the same time, from multiple different camera angles, and somehow synchronize all of them with the audio, then splice it into a cohesive video.
That is when I discovered Adobe Premiere Pro and it was RUclips tutorial video after RUclips tutorial video. My very first drum cover video, or one of the very first drum cover videos I ever attempted was Who Are You by The Who way back in September when I was still figuring all this out.
I look back on that video and go back and forth between laughing and cringing because the video quality is so bad. The edits, the camera angles, color correction...all atrocious. The drum playing itself was decent. The take was alright. But not nearly good enough for what that song deserves.
So, I set out to redo it because its one of my favorite songs and I've made a few more drum cover videos since September. I've learned a few things. Mainly though lots of trials and even more errors. I've also put in many hours of practicing since last September. I've gotten a lot better as a drummer.
All this to say, here is Who Are You by The Who, Collin 2.0 version. I am very proud of my own personal growth with this whole endeavor. I hope you enjoy!

Haha! You were right though in your comment on the Mitch Mitchell cover. That was one of my first videos. I was still trying to figure out how to do them. Still am. But yeah…I can do Keith lol. Next cover will be Bargain by The Who!
