How Many More Times by Led Zeppelin (Full Drum Cover)

Zeppelin is simply the best rock and roll band. The only bands that compare off the top of my head are the Beatles, Rolling Stones, the Eagles, Rush, and Pink Floyd (in my opinion). It is a never ending argument and people are very passionate about their band. My criteria that I consider is genre, album sales, tour sales, an actual band (as opposed to a solo artist), innovation, and musical chops. Honorable mention to Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Van Halen, Queen, Metallica, Journey and others. Those are just the first bands that come to mind. I am sorry if I am offending people with this list but, I honestly do not care and it doesn't really matter anyway. You like who you like. Who am I to say otherwise?This is my ranking, the world according to Collin.
Stones fans will turn their noses at this claim, citing their unmatched touring accolades. They are still at it in their early-mid 80's!! And by the way Stones fans, when Hackney Diamonds came out, I was all over it and released in very quick order a cover of Angry and Sweet Sounds of Heaven. If you tell me in the comments that the Stones are better than Zeppelin for this, this, and this reason, I will reply with, "Sure! Makes sense to me!".
Beatles fans will scoff in pretentious consternation, citing their revolutionary studio techniques, innovative song structures, and groundbreaking song writing capabilities. There is no question about any of that. The Beatles live rent free in the heads of almost everyone on the planet right now, 61 years after the release of their first album. It's almost as if they tapped into our DNA and inserted their discography. Unless you live under a rock, live in an extremely marginalized and underserved part of the world, or are 13 and only play Fortnite after school, I guarantee you can hum a Beatles tune. I don't mean to call out middle schoolers, but I am a middle school teacher and all I hear is Fortnite this, Fortnite that. I love my students, I promise!! Anyway...
Rush fans will loudly protest that Peart is a better drummer than Bonham and Alex Lifeson doesn't get the credit he deserves. No. Alex Lifeson does not get the credit he deserves. I completely agree. He is a virtuoso. In regards to the Bonham vs Peart debate, like everyone else, I have a strong opinion. My firm belief is...if you think one is better than the other, then you are a moron. One is not better than the other. Period. Full stop. They are both amazing, amazing drummers who have inspired MILLIONS of people and I love them both so much. They, along with so many other incredible drummers, are my heroes. So don't you dare try to box me in a corner like that and make me choose. I refuse.
Pink Floyd fans and Eagles fans aren't even aware that there is a debate about this and wouldn't care either way because Floyd/Eagles fans are the best fans and Floyd/Eagles music is the best music! So there you go!
Suffice to say, John Bonham is the man. I am a disciple of Bonzo. Long live rock and roll.

In regards to MY cover video... I tried to replicate Bonzo’s drums as closely and accurately as I could. For the purists out there, I won’t apologize. I don’t have a Ludwig Supraphonic snare drum. I wish I did! My snare drum sound is my snare drum sound with an SM57 mic on it.
I am a middle school teacher in Michigan, making what a middle school teacher in Michigan makes. If you want studio quality Bonham engineering, do yourself a favor and buy yourself some turntables, get their first album, shut up, and listen to the whole thing. The equipment you see in this video is all I can afford.
I record, mix, and edit everything myself with an armchair understanding of the whole process. I do the best that I can with what I have. I really do try my very best. What I do know is, this is the best cover of How Many More Times out there save for the guy who runs BONHAMOLOGY. That guy knows his Zeppelin. Shout out to him.
