    "You want to see both teams full strength go head to head" WHAT!?!?!? Aren't the Yankees the team that is at full strength pretty much though? The Dodgers are the ones that is nowhere at full strength. Look at their starting pitching. Imagine if they had Glasnow, Kershaw, Gavin Stone, Dustin May pitching in the World Series. Dodgers are doing work with 3 pitchers and a bullpen.

    Dodgers are by no means full strength even if Aaron Judge was hitting well. Glasnow, Kershaw, Evan Phillips, Gonsolin, Gavin Stone, Dustin May, Emmet Sheehan, and River Ryan are all out. Not to mention Freeman was playing one leg until the World Series and Ohtani is playing with one shoulder. So let's not cry a river for the Yankees not "being full strength".

      @22CMack 23 дня назад +29

      Gavin Lux is hobbled, too. And of course Shohei is included with the pitching ailments. I hope these things come closer to fruition next season, because I truly want to see what these Dodgers ACTUALLY look like at full strength. We’ll be missing some of the young guys that are out for 2025.

      2020 WS was the closest we'll ever see to what teams at full strength can do in a super playoff format. all those playoff teams were super imposing because of there being so few injuries on each team. a sixty game season followed by 16 teams in wildcard slots for best of 3, then best of 5 then best of 7 then the world series. that was wild.

    May sense an issue. Yankees and fans consider Mookie fighting off a tough pitch on the hands to drop a single the opposite way to be just luck rather than skilled hitting. Only slugging for the fences is good hitting to the Yankees. That’s backwards and why they can’t make adjustments to postseason pitching and the Dodgers keep finding a way. It’s not luck, it’s discipline and a willingness to pass the baton.

    Rich offered every excuse for the Yanks he could think of, but none of them were relevant. Saying this was "lucky" or that was -- I could do the same thing about a phantom tag at home plate that everyone could clearly see was after the runner touched home, or that catch into the seats the Yanks made that probably wouldn't have been made 90% of the time. Baseball has always been a game of inches, and nobody's getting the breaks over the other team. Freddie and the starting pitchers have dominated the Yankees. Note that the Dodgers aren't scoring the way they usually do, and Shohei hasn't done much past his walks. If he were hitting, each game might have been a blowout.

    What's the difference between a Yankee Fan and a Dodger Fan ? The Yankee Fan is connected to a "winning legacy" that goes back to the 40's. They can immediately sort the bullsh!t from the buckwheat, as they did last night. Two Dodger runs in their 1st at bat. My friends ... that's bullsh!t. The Yankees are under-managed, player-depleted, and have no spirit. You saw it in the face of the Fan's during the top of the 1st inning. This is truly a shame in the face of the loyalty Yankee Fan's contribute on a daily basis. Likely the Dodger's will sweep the Yankees and deservedly so. They have a deep bullpen and collectively are a hitting machine. They are well-managed and have a good fan base.

      @Gunleaver 23 дня назад

      LOL, Gibson? Freeman is the third best of three MVPs in his lineup (with a fourth -on the IL- in the starting rotation). Gibson had one at bat. Someone scored the other three runs without him in Game one, not to mention the other three games they won without him. And let's not even talk about talent disparities. You can at least argue whether the Dodgers or Yankees have more talent. There wasn't even a question in 1988. Yeah, the Aaron Judge slump looks bad, but Orel Hershiser had more hits in Game 2, as the pitcher at the bottom of the lineup, than Canseco & McGwire combined in the whole series. Mickey Hatcher his as many HR as Canseco & McGwire combined. Gibson was not the A's nemesis, nor was Hershiser (explain the lack of hitting in game 4, where neither of the Dodgers' sole pair of bright spots took the field, and Bob Costas called their lineup the worst in World Series history). Shitty, shitty baseball was Oakland's problem, or simply lacking the grit, drive and will to win of their opponents.

    • @Gunleaver
      @Gunleaver 23 дня назад

      Yeah, prior to this season, Betts and Freeman were a combined 8 for 49 in the post-season together. (.163). Last year, they were a combined 1 for 21 in the playoffs, and that one hit was an infield groundball to first, that Freeman reached safely only because the pitcher just stood on the mound, and remembered too late that he was supposed to cover first, and so Freeman was able to beat him to the bag.

    Yall, when he says “full strength”, he’s not talking about injuries. He’s talking about both teams playing at the high level they’ve been playing at all season. The Yanks have lost their juice and look nothing like they did during their best point of the season.

      Funny, they look EXACTLY like they did throughout the season minus the first few weeks when they built up a huge lead in the standings. But there was nothing better coming out of the AL this season, let's be real about that....the NL was deeeeeep this season. Yanks or anybody else in the AL didn't stand a chance against these Dodgers or any other of the top NL team this year.

    They got one 162 million dollar MVP, a 300+ million dollar MVP, a 700 million dollar MVP, a 300+ million dollar star pitcher and then all the others lol I'd say this team bought this ring, not so much earned it. Your talking nearly 1.5 billion in contracts spent on 4 players alone lol MLB needs to adjust the cap situation so situations like this don't happen. What's the point in even playing? Just gift them the ring at this point, they paid for it I guess lol.
