Everyone talks about how the Yankees lost the World Series, but everyone seems to ignore the truth, THE LOS ANGELES DODGERS won the World Series because from start to finish, they where the better team in baseball. Go DODGERS.

    • @Ray-rz6ww

The Dodgers were the better team going into the series. And battle tested after hard fought wins over the Padres and Mets. Unlike the Yankees, the Dodgers did not have all of their top level pitchers available. But what is the glaring difference of the 2 clubs is the sound fundamentals, aggression, and eye on the prize approach of the Dodgers.

Everyone blames the errors & misplay on the loss but if you’re Cole you have to get either Freeman or TeOscar out & keep the lead at 5-1 or either 5-3.A real ace shuts down the Dodgers at that point. Also they lead 6-5 with 3 outs to go & still couldn’t hold it.SMH one inning didn’t beat the Yankees. And the Yankees sloppy play caught up to them in a bad spot.🤮

The one variable everyone's forgetting is not technicalities. It's called irony, Karma, God, the intangible forces that is not in the hands of man, but goes beyond human beings. In the end we think we are in control, but we're not. There are other greater forces at work beyond us, and it's always humbling. That's what was at work here, I think. Think about it, what was the chances fir Shohei to not get injured all his entire great season, until game 2 of the WS, and the for Freddie to step up to compensate, after being silent most of his regular season, to have his MVP mind blowing moments at the WS when it was absolutely needed for his team.

Their bullpen was clutch including a few times the Braves failed to bring home a guy on third with none out. Boxscores do not show that but failing to get a long fly ball or even a base hit just added up over the long haul. New York was the better team in the end.

Yes. If the Yankees had hung on to their 5-0 lead, and won 5-2 etc...as a Dodgers fan, I was already conceding game 6. The momentum was going to completely switch; just as it did on Freeman's GS in game 1. I was left with 'hope' in game 7. The Yankees had us reeling, and they had awoken their big bats, and now Ohtani HAS TO come through etc...all my buddies etc...that was the narrative. Then, inning 5...as a Dodger, I can't believe it, and I do feel for our Yankee counterparts. It hurts when you lose, and when you lose like that, it almost kills you.

  • @verbalkint4052

The hubris and assumptions made by everyone in this video is hilarious to me. They are acting as if the Yankees were the team with a 3-0 series lead (a lead that’s never been surrendered in a World Series btw) and that they blew it all in this 5th inning of GM5.
The Yankees were the team down 3-0 and with no margin for error. They were down 3-0 because the Dodgers were the superior team. The only reason the Yankees won game 4 and got some life in the first place was because the Dodgers had to go to a “bullpen” game due to their starting pitching injury situation. The Yankees weren’t going to get a 2nd bullpen game gift in this series.
Furthermore, assuming the Yankees don’t implode in the 5th - who is to say the Dodgers don’t break through against Cole or their relievers in the 6th? 7th? 8th? Or 9th? The Dodgers are an extremely explosive ball club capable of big inning at ANY time. They were among the leader in MLB in comeback wins, and let’s not forget that much of their lineup was around when they scored a RECORD 11-runs first inning against the Braves in the playoffs several years ago.
To assume that the game was over after 5 or 6 innings is ridiculous (as we found out in reality). But even if you believe the series was going to back to LA 3-2 - in what way would NY be favored to win both those games?
They wouldn’t have won them both, and we saw why in GM1 and GM5. They were a super flawed team and inferior to the Dodgers, despite the Dodgers injury handicap. Walker Buehler or Yamamoto and their leverage relievers (along with superior fundamentals) would have won them the game they needed.
These people need to stop positioning this as if the Yankees has the series right where the wanted it then blew it. It’s so delusional and far from the truth.

But real entertainment value comes when he starts a sentence and it's abundantly clear, he has *_NO_* idea how it's going to end, and ends up with some garbled syntactic mess. And you can have a World Series party plastered just by taking a shot anytime he mentions "narrative".

Isn’t it peculiar when Freddie rolled his ankle and couldn’t buy a hit throughout the NLCS, guess what we heard? Absolute silence. No cries of "Oh, Freddie is a complete flop for not showing up!" Nope, instead he was serenaded with soothing whispers of empathy and understanding.
Yet here comes Ohtani, the unsung hero of game 1 of the World Series, who snagged a clutch double in the 8th inning, setting the stage for Freddie’s memorable walk-off that basically won the Dodgers the WS. And then, oh no-a shoulder dislocation in game 2, leaving Ohtani one-handed. Suddenly, a guy playing with what amounts to a mechanical arm is supposed to knock it out of the park? Well, color me amazed. Apparently, "shoulder dislocation" actually means "you must perform superhuman feats without complaint" in whatever parallel universe these causals reside.
So now, despite heroically saving the Dodgers from getting swept by the Padres with his clutch 3-run homer, having an outstanding NLCS performance with a 1.184 OPS, .364 average, .818 with RISP, leading with 9 runs, reaching the bases 17 times, and massively contributing to game 1 of the WS with his series-changing clutch double, Ohtani is now put on trial by the armchair critics, branded as a "postseason choker".
Fascinating! Who knew injuries qualify as failures when you’re not Freddie? Our dear Freddie, however, gets a lovely exemption from expectations when injured but Ohtani? Oh, spare us the details about swinging with one arm, he just needs to put on a show, right? Their logic is baffling.
