All she's done is gone to a few space camps(not in any way supported by NASA) and her father generated all this buzz for her and it's working. So many people are looking up to her it's sad.

    If you cannot become an astronaut in this way, you will have many different ways to become an astronaut, such as joining the air force and then apply to astronauts or become a space engineer, then apply to astronauts, etc. If you don't have enough money, become an astronaut in your own way, don't give up your dream too easily. In life, if you have a dream, find ways to do it. Make sure that by the time you are about to die, you may find that you have no regrets about the day you lived.

    I found this video to basically explain to me about how you can achieve your dreams at a young age. To me it’s not about the age, if it takes you from leaving school to becoming an astronaut 20years to accomplish that’s better than starting from a young age. It’s not about pushing yourself to choose and get your dream career before your 23, it’s about spending or dedicating your side to that dream, the best people are the ones who make up there mind and work hard to achieve that dream. She basically makes me feel like I should get some crazily qualified job before I’m legally able to drink.

    Maybe I'm missing on something, but how can you have a vision of what you want to be when you're 3 years old?

    • @ozzyfromspace
      @ozzyfromspace 4 года назад +52

      You can just tell that you wanna do something badly enough. Anything can trigger it. People do projects they think are cool all the time. But it’s rare that you find that one thing that hooks your mind and won’t let go no matter what. That cartoon sparked it for her. It is what it is. I can relate because I watched this one episode of Kim Possible (a cartoon) when I was 10, and it hooked me on the idea of personal vehicles to space. And I didn’t know electrical engineering, or accounting, profit or loss, opportunity cost, business model validation, physics, nothing. I just knew that I wanted to do aerospace engineering. If ever you’re fortunate enough to have your brain sparked so you can say, “this is exactly what I wanna do for the rest of my life” without any justification, you’ll know what her 3 year old mind experienced. I think her parents are NASA engineers or something, so they pushed her to act on this 3 year old vision she had, but that would be all for nothing if she didn’t believe it in her own capacity. I wish you the best, my friend. May you find that thing (or things) you’d do forever 🙏🏽

    • @Krisik96
      @Krisik96 4 года назад +12

      Float Circuit The point that I was trying to make is that it is very unlikely that this could happen to a 3 year old person. At that age kids are not really able to comprehend those things... they start feeding themselves, dressing themselves... all the basic things, you know, but not deciding what they want to be :) Most people don’t even remember themselves at that age.
      I do have a passion and I am extremely happy I found it.

      Again for the people in the back! She may have achieved a lot for her age, but she doesn't seem to have a clue about how much money her dream costs. Most of us have to work part time while struggling to pay for college, only for that degree to become useless because there's not enough job demands for what we've learned, and told we don't have enough experience for the few jobs we could get.
      She has had all of this handed to her. Admirable goal, but she hasn't earned her place when sitting next to those that have had to work their way to the top and obtain possible debt to obtain degree after degree. Struggles she has never even had to think about.
      My only shot at this point in my life is the path I'm taking now. With absolutely no guarantee of getting anywhere in space and a long shot alone to even get qualified to study it. Hello United States Air Force who is going to give me a job and tuition assistance to TRY to get as many relavent degrees as possible.
      If I had any advice for this young woman, it would be to go and get the credits, degrees, and work experience of a regular poor person. So she can at least have an idea of how implausible it is for us to walk in her shoes and so she may be even more thankful for the opportunity she has.

Not saying my life isn’t bad and I can’t make the most of it but for you to say people like me wouldn’t of had a completely different life if we had rich and stable parents like this girl is ridiculous and just not true.

However it stopped when i started my studies back after a long quarantine, it faded on my mind that time. After that i have read a tragic story that was 7 years ago,it was a story of a married austronauts, they married on mars and created a child, that story was inspiring since the husband sacrificed his life because of the upcoming asteroid on their way. After reading that story, it didn't got off my mind but instead it pushes me to grow interest back on it. And a reminder I'm only 13 years old, it feels unimpossible to dream such a scary dream but when you're really into it, you will always think about the positive side of it. I feel pity for some of the comments here🙄🙄how well u guys all knw her......? Behind every success or accomplishments there are lots of hard work.......sheer perseverance........sacrifices......and lot more........how could u all simply say.......its a mere privilege for being born to rich parents......what I could see all along the journey....( only to that extend we all knw)...is her passion and enthusiasm to get it done........and finally fortune favours only those who toil the soil......hats off to her😍😍😍

      Buji nah, her family was extremely rich and she hasn’t got the proper training. She isn’t going to Mars, NASA have stated so and they don’t have any plans to do so. She’s pulling stories out of thin air and trying to come of as someone who’s doing something amazing, even though it’s all lies.

    Ppl keep talking about how it isn't an achievement, she is lucky, only possible because of her parents and money..
    Oh grow up ppl.. she still had to perform and pass all the test to be where she is now.. money doesn't automatically install skills into your body..

      Your right money doesn't. Then that means that many other people exist in this world who are as skilled as her, as smart as her and more deserving than her. Let me remind you that it must cost a bomb for her to receive all that professional training. NASA has publicly stated that the organization "has no official ties to Alyssa Carson. That clearly means that there is a slim chance that she goes to Mars.
