Beautiful vase. I really like the spalted Beech discs, they go so well with the character of the Apple wood. Congratulations and best wishes on your own web site. I know a craftsman/artist of your caliber will do very well with your own website.
Just a creditably piece of work colors are grogeous and the disk s is really nice with the colors awesome job keep up with the good work and stay safe I love
@@HarrySmithWoodturning, vases bowls, boxes, just love the effect of the disks inlayed and then turned so that it is part of the primary wood. Good stuff.
Hi Harry I likecthe different types of wood I especially like wood with the spalting it really is nice. The vase is magnificent an unique piece of woodturning you really are a masterwoodturner and you are very talented. Thank you for an amazing video. Amanda xx
Gorgeous Harry, the contrast is stellar, as an abstract artist myself I appreciate the randomness of the disc placements....I am gonna go check out your site now, I KNOW it will be a HUGE success Harry!!
Gorgeous! Striking! The spalting in the beech is amazing. The apple wood turned out to be a great choice because it threw you a curve ball and your response was intuitively perfect. I saw a vid last night where a specific type of maple was used (can't remember the name). It didn't have an obvious grain but when it was cut or turned it shimmered with light when the piece was moved. I'd never seen anything like it. That would be brilliant in this application either as the vase itself or the additions...of whatever size or placement. Congrats on the website It's beautiful. (I sent you a private email through the website.)
Wow!! A beautiful work of art you have created!! Well done!!

You have inspired me to try to add a butterfly of spalted beech to a large maple vase that has cracked.
Sounds wonderful. Send us a picture when it's finished.

Superb class excellent work
I believe you're the only turner that I've seen that rubs the finished piece with wood chips. What does that do?
Amazing beautiful, well done 👍. Cheers

Well what is it. Pretty
I took up your challenge and guessed you’d mend some apple crotchwood with spalted beech and make a vase. My prize??
Where do you get your name plates?
I was kind of hoping for a lamp.
Guessing: you are making a vase or a bowl.
