Most people think all you have to do is simply throw a piece of wood on a lathe. You demonstrate that true artistry and creativity comes from all the planning and prep work you do before ever putting tool to wood. So impressed with your work. It’s absolutely beautiful. You’re a true creative artist. Have you ever thought about wood and resin turns? Regardless I will be stopping by ETSY to view all your projects and I am excited to do so. Exceptionally well done sir. Mad respect.
There is no such thing as scrap wood, just smaller pieces whose purpose has not yet been revealed! Beautiful piece, Sir! Bravo!
Yes, that's right, I mean that, leftover pieces of wood from previous projects, thank you 🙏🙏🙏

Thay a such thing is wood turning to the place looks awesome 👌 ❤
I don't know if I'm more impressed by the set-up or the finished product.....they're both spectacular.
Thank you very much 🙏🙏🙏

Yeah, the setup is amazing. Wonder where he gets all these ideas.
Wonderful use of 'scrap'. :)
Thank you 🙏🙏🙏
Lovely shape! Nice joinery, good use of off-cuts!! Well done, sir .
When you cut the piece in half I thought you had lost your mind. Then I remembered that losing one's mind is just part of being a woodworker. Beautiful work. You just gained a subscriber.
Thank you very much Chris for being a subscriber 🙏🙏 yes it has to be done because the turning distance is too deep and it has to be divided in half first, it will be very difficult to do if it is not divided in half
Thank you for this answer…I had been wondering why it was cut.
Top show beautiful beautiful
Thank you 🙏🙏🙏
Oh wow it is awesome and amazing to see the different colors wood there is. This is a stunningly beautiful magnificent and spectacular vase.
Thank you very much 🙏🙏🙏
Puikus darbas 👍👍👍☕🥧🍉
Linkėjimai iš Lietuvos 🇱🇹
Ačiū, linkėjimai ir iš Indonezijos 🙏🙏🙏
Very nice work!!
Thank you 🙏🙏
Oh my God! What can I say? This is amazing. The wooden scraps and their colors chosen for this piece, skilled workmanship, attention to details are just jaw dropping. This is truly a masterpiece. Mid way into the project, when you cut the piece right at the middle to smoothen the inside, I was shouting “noooooo” loudly. What do I know? The product turned out so nicely. My hat is off to you, Sir!
Thank you very much for your appreciation given to my work, it's true that you have to cut the middle part to be able to turn the inside out even though it's risky because when you put it back together you're worried it won't fit 😁🙏🙏
Amazing! fabulous
Thank you 🙏🙏
You must have two storage rooms: one for clamps and the other for the liters of glue you use. Nice turning, you lost me after the first five minutes of the video ! LOL
Hahaha thanks, yes I need a big place to store the clamps and glue, but I already kept those in place
That moment when a trumpet looks like a giant badminton birdy 😂
hahaha that's true, there are many shapes that resemble this vase 😄
wow great God blz your work
🤝
Thank you 🙏🙏🙏
...note to self...when time travel is possible, go back and invest in rubber bands...😅
Watching your prep work is just as enjoyable as watching the piece take shape on the lathe...and this one is amazing!...👍
Matt
Thank you Mat, you always watch and support my videos, it's nice to be able to entertain, have a nice day...🙏🙏.. I don't really understand investing in rubber 😁 bands
@@mayukowoodturning7644 ...lol...it means invest money in companies making rubber bands...you purchased so many, I'd be rich by now!!!...😂
@@_zhawkeye_9808 hahaha that's true 😄 using rubber bands over and over again, after use they can be used again
watching that when you got to the half way of the glue up i was thinking wow that would make a heck of a wall sconce
That's right, a great idea for a wall sconce, maybe someday I want to make one too 🙏🙏
Gorgeous 🙂
Thanks 🙏🙏
Wow, such an amazing piece. Thanks for sharing
Thanks too Allen.. 🙏🙏🙏
I am amazed that you can take "scraps" of wood and turn them into something so beautiful.
Thank you, rather than throwing it away, it's better to make it a work of art 🙏🙏
Hell Yeah !!!
Once Again A Master Artist
Showed Up For Work .
A lot of time went into this but what a beautiful piece of work!!!
Thank you, of course, that really takes a while but it's a lot of fun
Another beautiful job Bro.Keep the great work up.👌👌👌
Thank you James 🙏🙏🙏
the magic begins the moment the pieces of wood are selected ! like a master smith will combine various types of steel which are forge welded, cut, stacked, tiled and etched to produce beautiful patterns, you achieve the same with wood, the colours in this piece are sublime, even more so when you apply the finish and, as i have commented many times before, you bring the wood to life and make it sing,
Thank you very much sir for your great appreciation of my work, and also always watching my videos, this is my motivation to be able to make even better work 🙏🙏🙏
Hello, Good night. The cartoon is really eye-catching, you will enjoy all this creativity, you have created a very precise and painstaking work, the harder the work and the more precise it is, the more you will enjoy it at the end of the work, when you look at it, you will feel a sense of victory and pride. In the end, I hope to see more and more interesting work from you. Good luck
Thank you very much for your attention and appreciation of my work, I hope my video can be useful and I can make even better work 🙏🙏🙏

Oh,oh,oh very, very, very!!! Beautiful!!!
Thank you 🙏🙏🙏
Absolutely beautiful, I almost fell off the couch when you cut in half to finish hollowing😂😂😂
Thank you 🙏🙏😁, yes it must be done because it is very difficult to turn over with a deep enough vase
man, that's some incredible work. very impressed.
Thank you 🙏🙏🙏
I like the sanding stick. Simple and effective tool. Another great project.
if the world ever runs out of rubber bands, you're in trouble.
or you have them all...
Absolutely beautiful. Very inspiring - another idea to try - thank you sir 🙏🏻
You're welcome and thanks too 🙏🙏🙏

Gobsmacked. So good! As usual. 😀👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you so much 🙏🙏🙏
Just a stylish and wooden version of Loud Speaker.
Again a work of not only perfect craftsmanship but of stunning imagination and creativity! I'm in awe! What I like further is that you are using only natural materials whereas other woodturners use chemicals as resin, too. (They are producing beautiful works nevertheless). But I appreciate very much your work with Mother Nature's gifts. Hers and your creations produce genuine works of art. Thank you 🙏🏻
You're welcome and thank you also for your great appreciation and attention to my work, yes that's right, for now I specialize in making works only from wood, I hope my video can be entertaining and useful 🙏🙏🙏

Absolutely gorgeous Mayuko and a great use of left over wood.
Thank you Jack 🙏🙏🙏
Another quite simply stunning piece, but what else would we expect 👍
That is very beautiful!

Another beautiful vase. You always start with simple slats of various types of wood. Saw and arrange them again and again. Then a vase with a beautiful pattern is created. Your creativity is endless, marvelous.
Thank you very much,..🙏🙏🙏 I'm just trying to make something new, happy to share and hopefully useful

Thank you very much 🙏🙏🙏
its really nice creations.keep it up
Thank you very much 🙏🙏🙏
Very beautiful!!
Thank you 🙏🙏
Amazing, really beautiful. Such a lovely process. One question, I'm not sure I understand why you used a hand saw to cut it in half only to glue it back together again. Was that so you could reach fully inside to finish the bottom part of the piece? Again, amazing craftsmanship. Thanks for sharing!
That's right, my chisel didn't reach the bottom of the vase, therefore it had to be cut into two parts so that it could reach the bottom of the vase, thank you for the appreciation 🙏🙏🙏
mantap
🙏🙏
It's amazing how the pattern makes it look as if if it wobbles on the lathe, and how it also looks like it's not rounded like a vase.
Yes, that's true, because of the oblique cut on each piece of wood, thank you 🙏🙏🙏
Initially, I thought it was going to end up being a teepee!!
What a magnificent use of left-over offcuts! You certainly have skill! Just one question, with all of that wood dust being blown around and from sanding, please tell me you wear a dust filtering mask, or better? there are so many diseases that wood dust can cause, I would hate for you to be take away prematurely from the very thing that gives you happiness.
Thank you for your assessment and appreciation of my work, of course I always wear a special mask for wood dust, especially when I'm sanding, thank you 🙏🙏🙏
Beautiful.
Thank you 🙏🙏🙏
Superb idea!
Thanks 🙏🙏🙏
Thanks 🙏🙏
Are you more than one person? Such creative works of art, and different each time.
Thank you so much 🙏🙏🙏
👍
Best idea
Thank you 🙏🙏
Very beautiful. I'm wondering why you had to cut it in half when you were turning it, only to glue it back together again?
my chisel didn't reach the bottom of the vase and it had to be cut into two parts, and even if the chisel did get to the bottom it would be very difficult to turn over with a fairly deep depth
A trumpet flower ready for springtime. Beautiful!
That's right, thank you 🙏🙏

Thank you very much, I am very much inspired by your works 🙏🙏
I am inspired by what you made here. I will have to watch it again. Not sure what was going on with the hot glue.
@@ThePapa1947 Yes you should try it and it must be very good
très joli
Merci beaucoup 🙏🙏🙏
Absolutely stunning, and very clever! It's very difficult to cut staves to fit exactly, as you demonstrate here. I set my miter saw to make a bowl of a certain angle and number of staves, then cut trial bowls out of scrap wood, making tiny adjustments of the miter or blade angle until it is perfect, and then leave the saw alone until I want to change the parameters to something new. Search on "Making a Tulipwood Stave Bowl" here on RUclips for the technique.
Thank you sir,..🙏🙏🙏 it's true that it took several attempts to measure the angle of the blade to get the right angle, several times to cut small pieces of wood for experiments

Nice design but I am not convinced rubber bands give enough clamping pressure on glue ups. gaps seem to be there.
Thanks 🙏, the rubber bands do a great job of sticking the wood together, what causes gaps is when the edges of the wood aren't even
@@mayukowoodturning7644 Okay thanks
simple idea really skilfully done but where is the guard on the circular saw ? you would be heading for a huge fine if you were working in an unsafe manner in the UK
All of the little pieces you cut off, you should put in a mold with resin.
Simply amazing work!!!
I have 2-3 questions
1. How much time did it take to figure out what to do
2. How much time did it take to put together
3. How much time did it take to turn out
Of course how much time for everything complete
Thank you Sir.
I do appreciate your work it’s amazing & unique.
Thank you...I was inspired a lot by the pattern of the cutting board and I turned it into a vase, yeah, it took about 2-3 hours to make the design, it took 2-3 days to make this project pattern and it took 3-4 days to finish this project
I look forward to your videos. Then I'm disappointed when it's over because I have to wait for the next one!
Quick question: why did you cut the vase in two? Is that because you couldn't reach the inside bottom safely?
Yes, that's right, it's very difficult to scrape with a very deep part, so I cut it into two parts
😀💪💪👍👍
🙏🙏🙏
Fascinating.
About how many hours to make?
Approximately takes 3-4 days to complete this project
Bravos!! le bois de couleur jaune vous pouvez me dire quelle essence?
Nice one. Did you glue in the tabs of the ribbon?
As usual, magnificent. I envy you your wood inventory. I have been wood turning for just under a month now and spent what I had on a lathe, tools and a few finishing supplies. When I realized I was going to need some wood also, I stepped out the back door, walked to the nearest tree and cut it down, sawing off the bottom four feet and carrying that into the basement. I've now used all of that and have to go get the next six feet which leads to the first crotch (already planning a natural edged bowl for that), but we've had 16 inches of snow in the past week, so I've been waiting for some of it to melt. Probably today. I noticed that you cut off your workpieces with a western (push style) hand saw, while I and most everyone I see on RUclips uses the Japanese style (pull cut) hand saw. How does that happen? Again, my compliments on a beautiful work and thank you for sharing it with us. And yes, most of my work has cracked. 😥
Excited friends to be able to get more wood, because indeed to do this woodturning requires many types of wood, in segmented work it also takes wood to practice getting the right angle and it is done repeatedly, I don't know much about hand saws and what I have only this saw, thanks for your attention to my work
Wow, that turned out very, very nice! What woods did you use?
Take care, Wayne
Thank you very much, I use mixed wood, including rosewood, purple heart, jackfruit wood, oak, maple, champor and also spalted tamarind
Im sorry but I dont understand why you cut it in half then glued it back together again, what was the purpose?
The purpose is to make it easier to turn because it's too deep so it has to be cut in half first
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 ++++
🙏🙏🙏
