Nice little bowl, Andy. I think I may try one. I see many possibilities with the angles of the carved lines. Love it!
Hi Dennis...
Thank you very much...
Even though there was an awful amount of sanding on this one I still really enjoyed making it...
I hope that you will enjoy making yours and I'm looking forward to seeing the results...

Hi Andy, I love the design, simple but stunning. I personally love working with Iroko, such a nice wood. Lots of sanding and a great finish, thanks for sharing.
Hi Jim...
Thank you very much.. I'm glad that you liked it...
I have had a few pieces of Iroko from a local joiners shop... very handy and a bargain...
My pleasure...

@@AndysCornishCreations u will have to build bigger storage cupboard 👍
It's a beautiful little bowl! The flutes are wonderful, once again demonstrating your skill at the details. The organic shape of the bowl makes me think of a seed pod or maybe even some kind of tropical fruit! Very lovely, Andy!
Hi Gwynn...
Thank you so much as always for your kind words...
Ahh yes.. I hadn't thought about that... it does resemble something like that...
I'm glad that you liked it...

@@AndysCornishCreations l am wondering if a bowl like this could be made of black walnut. I will have to give it a try. Beautiful workmanship on this one as always.
@@randallnelson2452 I don't see why not... it would look amazing...
Get a good round rasp... it will make the job much easier...

Really nice, Andy. Looked like a lot of work, though.

You might be nuts... very nice work. Every time I do something way out of the norm and people question my sanity, I will send them over to see your work. So good!!!❤
Hi Brian...
Thank you... I think... Haha...
You send as many doubters as you like...
Who wants to be " normal " anyway... Haha...
It would be lovely to see some of your out of the norm work...

Andy , I totally love this little bowl, not seen one like this before. Your presentation is spot on, just the right amount of content, will give this one a go. Cheers Andy from the Somerset Chapter.
Hi Garry...
I'm really pleased that you love it... I thought that it would be a bit different from the norm...
Thank you so much for your kind words...
I hope that you will enjoy making yours.. you could send a picture if you wouldn't mind...

Funnily enough I used to play the Diagonal Flute.
Hi Mark...
Ahh.. very good... I thought that you were musically talented...

Hi Andy, lovely bowl and great job doing the gluting by hand .
The timber's grain and looks quite light in the video, looks more like Idigbo to me? I could be wrong .
Hi Steve...
Thank you very much.. I'm glad that you liked it...
I've looked at the video again and you are probably correct..
It does look too pale for Iroko... I had a few offcuts from a joinery shop and this was one of them...
Take care my friend...All the best.....Andy
I love this bowl. I wonder if I'd be strong enough to hand carve...or patient enough to sand it 🤪
Hi Jenny...
Ahh thank you so much...
I'm sure that you would be more than capable...
A good round rasp takes a lot of the work out of it..
No short cuts on sanding I'm afraid...
If you do give it a go.. I hope that you will enjoy making yours...
Take care my friend...All the best.....Andy
Nice design, a bit different from he norm. Also makes a change to see Iroko wood being used. thks
Hi Brian...

Hi Andy. An excellent piece of carving. Well done. I doubt that it was an easy 20 minute job, though! All the best,Dave.
Hi Dave...
Thank you very much... I'm glad that you have enjoyed this one...
WOW.... that's a lot of bowls... well done...
I don't think that I have turned more than about 20 bowls in total...

@@AndysCornishCreations Cheers Andy. 20 bowls???
Hi Dave...
Sorry... bit of a senior moment...
The reply that I sent to you was meant for someone else... Haha 🙄..
This chap has turned a bowl every day for the last 4 years... imagine that !!
I was just telling him that during my 10 years of woodturning I have only turned a grand total of 24 bowls...
As you can guess. . I'm not a big fan of bowl turning...
And as an answer to your comment...
Thank you very much.. I'm glad that you liked it...
Haha... I had to push myself to the limit to get it finished in 20 minutes....... NOT... Haha

@@AndysCornishCreations Cheers Andy. I'm the same as you...bowls don't quite turn me on!
Very nice Andy! It would take me the better part of a day just to do the flutes 😅 A lovely bowl in the end!
Cheers, Rick
Hi Rick...
Thank you very much...
Haha... it still took me about 3 hours.. and it is quite small .... luckily...
