This appears to be the exact same pelican design as the one in Halo Reach, Halo CE Anniversary, and Halo 2: Anniversary. If you’re looking for a comparison to see how accurate this set is, there you go.

I can't believe y'all actually remember the designs, I never notice the difference in the games.
As to the "one seat" thing, I'm pretty sure its supposed to be the pilot's pelican from the trailer (based on hanging chief and the pilot being included). And in that trailer we can see multiple ships. It is a troop dropship, after all. However I don't think that this compromises the set, and I think the interior is fine, but mega could've included the option to put in more seats.

@@Geister7 is halo 2 the same phantom as halo 3? Because if it is then I agree, if it's not I'd rather a halo 3 phantom, I think they have slight differences
@@coreyburgess6 2's didn't have the out of place side doors and had three turrets, also the rear could be opened up for larger cargo items and other things
I’m just so happy to see a pelican that reminds me of the original halos. Something about halo 4 and 5s pelicans just didn’t hit me right.
Got the set, and let me say the quality on the plastic is A Grade or even beyond. I love the detail on each part of the ship, and the instructions really are easy to comprehend, nothing too complicated but nothing too easy. Overall this set inspired me to buy many other Mega Construx sets.
The only con for me is the lack of space inside the ship, compare the space inside the Pelican gunship and then to this. Either way it's just a minor bug that can be only personal for me, the rest for me is golden

We've seen that it has multiple seats, if you watch the first trailer we got, you can see multiple seats on, personally i think that its ok that they only have one seat
It looks like it shouldn't be too hard to add at least a couple extra seats
@@topshelfjd9036 you do realize that when its closed, the space inside is 4 bricks wide which means the seats will be right against each other
@@chips9773 you could just do some modifications to replace the weapons rack side with seats, but that'd take a bit of modification but may be worth it for some
@@rrockstar1584 I've figured out that you need to replace the mechanism for the landing gear, and use high friction pins instead of the axle, rubber bands and beams. You'll lose out on a rather useless play function, and the trade-off is more seats, so I find it worthwhile. I bet someone has done a how-to for the exact steps to take.

Wow. Mega construction used to be one of the worst knock off brands ever made. And now, just look how much detail there is in this build. They have progressed so much
Absolutely agree Mega has come a long way, especially since their first Halo sets in 2009. Also, I wouldnt say knock-off, I assume you think Lego itself is the original; it's also a knockoff.

No, they’ve severely regressed since 2012 or so, the new armor plating they use for the minifigures ruins the flexibility and looks way to bulky, and the plastic quality hasn’t really improved since their Halo Wars sets from way back when.
Mega Construx has basically become LEGO’s equal, and I don’t mind.
Ruffle Animations the only thing they really haven’t improved on is the plastic quality, but I guess that why it’s usually cheaper than Lego.
So cool hoping to earn some money to pick this up :)

It’s crazy. LEGO did a knockoff pelican and it was able to carry its little mars rover, but this doesn’t 17 years later.
Hydrated Beans LEGO never made a pelican, and it’s clear that they sacrificed that function to do the splitting thing

@@turtleman4596 Fine it seems longer. My point was, his channel has grown so much and I'm glad that Mega has actually decided to do what Lego has - to me it seems like they (Mega) were very... Anti-social, for lack of a better word. They kinda kept to themselves, at least not as open as Lego.

I think the pilot animation was so satisfying
It’s a shame it doesn’t come with more marine figures & the ability to attach a warthog at the bottom of it’s rear wing.
Because this is the best pelican they’ve done ever. I just feel like it’s lacking those two things

Finally got this on Christmas, definitely a great set.
Well, we did see many more seats in the trailer, but I can probably take seats from my Pelican Gunship if I need to. I don't think I will though as I won't display it opened up. The one change that seems necessary is the angle of the access ramp

This was a fun build, did take a while but listened to Halo music throughout. Glad I picked this set up before the price rose
Hands down the best Pelican they’ve released. Just building the OG pelican for a future video now, surprising how enjoyable it still is given its age.

It looks like they kinda compacted the older pelican, but added new features and stuff to it, I'm stoked to see the landing gear work so well
So nice to see off brand LEGO sets tackling Halo. LEGO will never do military type stuff for some reason, which is unfortunate, but these sets are near perfect. The figures are great, and the builds are good.

I’m getting the hornet really soon and when I eventually get this pelican (prob on Christmas) I bet it will look good along side each other
Worth noting that like the hunter from the wasp. This one has more paint applications, than the warthog hunters.

We don't get them in UK either, although mega is trying to fix theit distribution issues, so hopefully they will come to NZ, I think they might show up on Amazon for you? Also hope they show up in Warehouse shops in NZ

It honestly should be much bigger. The CE Pelican had 12 seats for the Marines.
Day 2 of asking you to use your connection with Mega to get a non-PR statement from them about the difficulty of finding their products or about the possibility of them making their own site a shop to buy from the directly.

They are working on it, UK is receiving brand new sets for the first time in years
More places around the world are showing up. It's not perfect but they acknowledged it and made a start to correct it

@ALEX - I understand your frustration but I'm sorry to say I don't have the answers to your questions. My connection with MCX is not related to the supply or distribution of their product. All I know is the same as what others have said here, they are aware of the issues and are making efforts to improve the situation. Sorry I can't be more helpful.
@@brickman1175 I did not expect you to have the answers to that issue, but I would've liked for you t'uv investigated further, not just for myself, but for those others who are not willing to pay scalpers for such limited supply. Sources do not need to be public.
As it sounds, it seems you are not open to prying for that information. If you feel that pursuing that info could in any way, shape, or form jeopordize your relation/deal with Mega, I understand and can respect your refusal to probe, I wouldn't be keen on risking free Halo mega's either.
As I'm sure you've heard from your several thousands of subscribers, I hope you make the best of your relation with Mega and that you can continue to produce awesome content.

Very good Pelican althought it has its bad ones (like you cant carry a warthog but some custom changes can make it better). And i never thought this Pelican was going to be...bigger that the old ones xD. Amazing review!!!
Can the rear landing gear support the pelican like can you take off the clear bricks and just use the landing gear
I didn't try it. If I get time I'll do a Q&A on questions here at the end of the UNSC base alternate build video.
I'm only guessing, but given the complexity of the locking system for the rear gear, I certainly hope it can hold it.
They can, you just need to reinforce the little axel holder on the inside of the troop bay, but mine supports itself and makes it look a whole lot better!

The Pelican is actually based off the Halo Reach styled D77 TC.
I think it is a new one because the reach pelican had air inlets on the wings but this one has nothing there
When i bought my pelican inbound set, it took me two and a half days to build it. Downside is that i had several missing pieces for some places on it
Dose anyone know of a tutorial that shows you how to modify the pelican to have 4 seats?
This is my first item on my christmas list, it is kind of sad there arent many seats and im almost 100% sure that the in game pelican has like at least 16 seats, this is (obviously) scaled down for figures to fit in it and so you can have play features, I would rather have more playability than something you just build for display, the weapon rack is nice, if there were 2 seats I would be happier but you would have to sacrifice the landing bar locks, overall great set, I really hope I get this set for christmas, if not I can get it for my birthday and great review

ive heavily modified my hull to fit 4 seats if i had more i could expand it to 6 seats but i wanna clean up the sides there a slight overhang now because i expanded the troop bay so i could have many troops inside so the sides are a bit flat
Something I’ve been wanting to do since the release, great job.
But the older Pelicans did not have printed intake grills - they were actual molds. On other parts (especially the size and the undercarriage) - definite improvements.
