I just finished building mine. This is the biggest set I’ve ever owned and it took me about 15 hours to build. I knew it would look good, but now that I have it in front of me, it looks sooo much better than I thought. It’s also heavier than I thought

Glad 343i is going the older styled Pelican for Infinite. Probably gonna be one of my favorite sets for a long while once it releases, whenever that is.

Just got this thing a few weeks ago, love it. My only complaints are the whole no official way to attach the warthog and the rear landing gear can’t stand by themselves most of the time. But honestly if those are the worst things about it, it’s great in my book.
Yeah, I mean, I get the fact that the landing gear isn't functional makes sense. But I would have really liked to see some sort of rack for the Warthog to be carried on
One of the He-Man skulls comes with a grappling hook and rope, and it's very easy to attach it to the back of the Pelican. It can hold a Warthog or Wasp without any problem.

I had the set from 2011, and the bags were not numbered back then. I'd work on it for a few hours every day after I got home from school..took me a friggin week to build. I loved every second lol thinking about buying this one too
This one, while having numbered bags, still takes awhile to build
I also got the original back in 2011… I was 12 at the time. I remember at one point kicking my wall so hard because I couldn’t find a piece.
Once I eventually finished it, I had my cousins over so that we could play halo reach and mess around with the pelican. My cousin dropped it. I may or may not have kicked his ass.
11 years later, I’m 24, and I just grabbed this new one. Time to finish the fight.
@@liammackay2061 ahh good times. My brother stepped on one of the wings of my shortsword bomber when it was nearly done, and it never did stay together right afterwards. I'm thinking that he must've somehow warped some of the connecting pieces. Also, this new one is currently sitting on my desk lol
Glad to see you got a warped piece too. In my warthog rally set I had like 3 warped and unusable pieces without spares. Ended up exchanging it at target

It's been a thing since they started making Halo sets for Mega to not include two Hunters in a set. There have only been a few cases where they did include two, but for the most part, they would include just one. I'm guessing they cost quite a bit to include two of, which makes sense considering the size of them, and the detailing on them. But still, there really should be two Hunters in this set, especially since there are very few figures in it
I mean, the Warthog Run had 2.

I’m honestly just confused on where to get this set. I know it was supposed to be released in September, but I can’t find it. I can pull up any other set from this infinite series, but this one is tricky. Some say pre-order and some say “we don’t know when this item will be back in stock” like it’s sold out already or something
Release has been spotty so far because of covid. Some people have started getting their preorders, so keep looking

Just ordered mine this weekend but from 3 purchases of my 3 warthogs 2 of them had pices that were destroyed or looked like they were chewed on by a dog and I hope I don't run into the same issue with the Pelican, but other wise I'm excited
Dude I have no place to store this but I bought it any way! This set was so heavy I tried hanging it on my ceiling and aimed my banished aa gun at it and a day later it went crashing to the ground! This is an awesome set and makes a great diorama vehicle! Also I fell asleep building it because it was that late at night! Love your vids and hope to see more content like this!

you can use the extras for the wall barricade or to build something to hold the warthog.
I tried using them to make something to hold the hog, but it wasn't enough
I love your reviews, I actually put you up as my mega guy over my previous, but is it your lighting or does master chief look that gooey and slimy in person? Its only ever his figures where I really notice it

Chief definitely has a plastic sheen to him seeing as he is made of plastic but in person, it's far more subtle than under the direct studio light
The helmet for brohammer is actually orginally a Call of Duty piece. Although I'd say this version is the one from the probuilder rescue helicopter. Legs and belt are both CoD pieces.

I had the old pelican gunship, that was badass.
This set is probably the coolest one though sadly, if some of us do have a bigger set of room to have this stored in as something on the shelf along with other sets, it’ll be the best thing to have but yeah, space would be another issue to have this fit. I liked that we also get to have Bro Hammer on the set, along with a Banished Hunter, and.. another Master Chief (though I find the Master Chief collection a lot better, just wishing that he has that more subtle metal edging paint application along with battle worn black wash in one, makes him stand out a lot more). I also agree with you that it’s hard to not give the entire Pelican some flying around, painful to not let it spread its wings to soar, and the Sidekick pistol not looking like a traditional UNSC magnum, I personally preferred the Halo Reach Magnum, the Combat Evolved variant, and the Halo 5 variant as well, so is the suppressed version from Halo 3: ODST, which I feel like we don’t even see that often, as I find it pretty sad that we don’t even get any suppressed Magnums in any ODST based sets anymore.
41:56, you just made me laugh at this part, a fire extinguisher used as a bubble tea smoothie would sound hilariously fun.
The MCC Chief is 100% better than this version of Chief
@@DemarcationMedia Absolutely. He just needs some metal edging paint application underneath the battle worn black powder and such to hide the subtle details just a bit, and you’re right about the visor print being tad bit better than the rest.
The box scale worked for me because I literally had the hog on my shelf next to me.

I mean if you remove the clear pieces the struts would probably hold the weight of the pelican because they would be pressing up against the thing you push not the rubber band
I actually tried it and it did not hold the weight--popped to closed and fell

I can obtained one of this set, i hope this Will send me soon, this set, the Warthog rally, and the scorpion collectors are so similar, i really hope that i can carry a scorpion with this!
Unfortunately I never found the scorpion in stores. :/ To make the Pelican carry it, you'll definitely need some extra pieces
That’s a first in a long time when it comes down to malformed parts and are you confused by spare parts?
Mega has definitely gotten the malformed pieces under control but some still slip by. And most sets come with extras but usually not a massive handful
I just bought this off amazon, gonna take a few days to come back but i am mega (pun 100% intended) excited to build

Finished mine yesterday. 2 missing pieces and one dented piece that couldn't go into place but it's done
Mega will replace the messed up parts for you
I don't know if this was a first production issue but when I got this about the time it released it was great. However now, almost 3 or so years later, I've noticed major parts issues disassembling the build I haven't seen in other mega sets and it is kinda worrying. I've had several plates snap in half or the edges of the plates break when seperating. None of the cilps or hinges or bars are in bad condition and don't have issues which is good, its just I had about five plate pieces that snapped during disassembly.
Oof, that's not good! I've built and rebuilt it more than once now and haven't had any issues with that, so perhaps it was a batch issue?

I haven't tried yet--mainly because I have to store most of my extra pieces
Just a thought but, could this Mgalekgolo possibly be Colony and the red one we got in the heroes line be the bond brother of this one?
I doubt it, mainly because I think the heroes one was from Warzone Firefight. But I could be wrong
@@DemarcationMedia you are correct, the red one is a remnant hunter from the map "Escape from A.R.C." . However, if this Hunter is Colony, it is possible that we may get the other in a future set or heroes line as Colony is able to work independent of its bond brother.
The pelican can be used as a drop ship for the warthogs so the size is perfect
Technically, the pelican is ever so slightly too small, but it's pretty darn close

I remember building the mega bloks halo 4 pelican and it was terrible without numbered bags so i cant wait to build a pelican with numbered bags

I built the nmpd pelican which came with 1700 pcs and it took me about 14 hours combined to sort and build everything

I've seen the straps upside down. And I'll keep an eye out for the Shock rifle. As for getting sets free...I can't say much about that

I honestly couldn't tell you. There were so many bags, I didn't note down how many were numbered

There was a hunter in the wasp onslaught so they probably split the hunters up plus they both are ship sets and there's a shade turret with the wasp and the turret and the pelican could fight the two sets could make a good pair also love your vids
Well the Wasp Hunter is a different color scheme. But yes the two sets pair nicely
just a thought but maybe master chief looks a little unfinished and dirty is because when the pilot of the pelican found him he was in space next to a bunch of blown up stuff

The edging on the Master Chief would be the paint fading, not really fading its just supposed to look that way
I think that's the idea, but it came off a little weak

And of course we get the obligatory Shock rifle that comes In Pretty much every mega blocks set, probably my least favourite weapon to have but the most fun to actually use ingame

Try building the pelican three times and one of the times with pieces that you have to try to scavenge through through all your old pieces. It's tough
I've built the pelican twice but never with scattered parts
Only gripe is it can't lift the warthog or scorpion
It can but it needs extra parts to do so.
how many inches does it measure lengthwise?
I don't remember off the top of my head and it is currently in its second form right now so googling might be your best bet

Hunters do not always hunt in pairs when the Lecgolo or hunter colony grows to large they split into two
If they have spikes on their shoulders, that means they have a bond brother, which means they hunt in a pair

10/10 It's literally the best Pelican set so far
im very disapointed about the interior, you get a 4 stud wide crew bay with only 2 seats? they couldve easily put the fire extinguisher and other junk in the cockpit area but instead it takes up needed room, the pelican looks fantastic on the outside but the interior is really dissapointing
The interior could have been better for sure, but overall it's still probably the best Pelican they've made

Yep, all Mega sets have numbered bags now, unlike their older sets which went with the 'throw it in a pile and hope for the best' approach

Mega will replace any messed up bricks so you should be fine
@@DemarcationMedia got it built it and it was perfect the only thing that was bad was the printed missile pods can not be put on the hollow studs that are on the missile pods

Target and Walmart carry Mega Construx, though Target is more consistent. Dollar General carries some smaller sets

The visor of my Warthog’s Chief has the same problem BUT WITH AN ARM DEFORMITY that’s subtle enough for me to just *s t a r e* at.
That's just the worst
By arm deformities do you mean that the arm is like falling out? If so man have I had my fair share of that probably 7 plus figures with arm deformities, one even has a short hand so the gun falls out. Mega construx needs to get their game together especially when I got the chief vs arbiter pack and chief literally had no backplate lol
I mean the magnum replacement is just halo 2's anniversary magnum.

I'm surprised that given the mechanism that the landing struts can not hold the weight of it..
I suppose I could try. But the Pelican is VERY heavy and those struts really aren't very solid
@@DemarcationMedia Random follow up question, are the clear bricks hold in up the rear end capable of holding the pelican off the ground if the nose gear is up? Just trying to figure the logic of such an elaborate locking scheme for non functioning struts.
@@Akkhraziel I tested the struts and they can't even come close to holding up the Pelican. As for the clear bricks, they could if you moved them more midcenter. But there are also more clear parts in the extras so you could display it up off the ground with all the landing gear up
