Er, I'm not sure why you would sit marines in the gaps. They'd get their rear ends ground up by the moving treads XD

The ardent hunters are not common- only three or four pairs are in the whole game. The blue ones are the most common

man you got the official spartan stone, and griffen, to me those are secret figures that are gonna become HIGHLY desireable in the future. didnt know they had different color armors bc being on zeta halo and they have to scavenge theyre armor. as a major halo fan who doesn't like halo infinite as a whole, THATS SUCH COOL LORE I LOVE IT SO MUCH. That mega detail, makes me respect Halo infinite more!

One of the last sets I remember getting before I aged out of mega was the Halo 4 Grizzly and then I went and did the dumb thing of selling all my sets😪 and now hurting trying to recoup these as an adult

Decided to rewatch this one because I have it now. Have for about a month or two. It’s a very nice set and I used the spare parts to make the barrel longer and the extra treads to make a fidget toy. It’s also my first Scorpion.
Was lucky to get mine in the first wave of Amazon listings! Also managed to score the arbiters quest when it was 26$ instead of 40+ 👌 excited to hopefully find the forward unto dawn set and series 2 blind bags soon enough 🤘🏻

@@TheDorarobinson it was a scorpion set that basically had online instructions to turn into other things. Basically a gimmicky thing

@@dynestis2875 Apparently a lot of stores there won't buy Mega, so they stopped offering it, which then made the few places who wanted to buy stock not be able to get it

The pods will articulate I have 2 of the designer series scorpion and the center is the exact same on the scorpion clash. The treads also run absolutely amazingly!

Is it just me, or would it have been cooler to either get one of the dark banished hunters and then one of these light ones (so if you have the pelican and the wasp you can complete the pairs) or to have the blue hunters because they are more common in game and have only ever come in one set
I would have liked to get the dark ones in this set--I doubt they'd do 1 of each but that would have been cool

Honestly, I would never have realized that's Chak 'Lok. All the antagonists Halo Infinite had specifically made up out of thin air just for it were extremely forgettable.
pictures and videos don't do it justice, it looks a ton better in person for sure
it's a tad bigger than the 20th anni scorpion, which is a bit of a shame because they don't blend together as well, but this one grew on me and now i just wish some things from the 20th and this one were blended together, just minor details though
scorpions and falcons have got to be probably my favorite models in terms of vehicles that mega have made
might just have to get me a second one if it's ever on sale
also the tracks are surprisingly easy to put together just like the 20th was, kinda satisfying to snap into place as well, like loading a magazine with ammo lol
The tracks just needed some rubber--that was my only complaint with that tread system

personally i love the sound the plastic makes as it rolls on a table, almost sounds like either engine sounds or the sounds of actual tracks
plus rubber tracks in general have a tendency to get sticky if left in place for too long, or high humidity could cause damages to the rubber
@@ZoraEpsilon571 No, keep the plastic tracks--I have a hard time getting them to roll though. There's little extra squares in the treads that could be used to fit rubber inserts onto the plastic.

The blue hunters are common, and the banished hunter is uncommon
Mega definitely needs to make a set with some more blue ones

Well back years ago, Mega didn't even put numbers on the bags so that worked out XD
An alt build review would be interesting. The smaller tank alt build reminds me of a Lemun Russ from 40k lol
I plan on trying it, but the alt build instructions aren't out yet

I’m interested in both I’m sold this will be my first scorpion tank ever! I wish I got the designer series scorpion but this is much better! I’m thinking of nodding the turret so the gun is longer and that the reload cycle happens where the shell ejecting thing goes in and out instead of the gun! That is what Mega should’ve done but other than that Chak Lok looks awesome Stone is awesome and paired hunters? Just as rare as a full Noble team! And also cant have too many marines! That set is something I am definitely getting and buying two of! You know you can just mix and match Stone’s armor kind of like a pop and swap thing so I’m definitely saving up for two! Honestly, my only complaints about the set are the cannon mechanism and how wiggly the treads are, aswell as the weight destribution on the rear treads (they don't hang down the way they do in the games when it's lifted up), but that's a minor nitpick. A slightly bigger issue is that the plasma turret on mine doesn't stay on the T-shaped piece at all. It falls of if I so much as blow on it, so I guess I got a bit unlucky.
I agree about those--the treads don't hang right when picked up and the cannon is weird. That's bummer about the plasma turret. Maybe try making the clips smaller with some glue?
I recently got the designer series one and that one introduced that same recoil gimmick and it works great on that one. The one in this set going offof your footage seems a lot weaker. Unless I can rebuild the same Designer Series Turret using parts from this set and left overs from a different Designer Series model, I will likely do your modification when I get mine. I wish both Scorpions did something different for the Barrel though. It's way too small. I am straight up looking into Cobi stuff to see what tank barrel parts are compatible or not. I hope for when ever we get a Grizzly and hopefully a Fox Cannon, Mega makes their own parts specifically for tank barrels and what not.
One of the things that bug me the most about this set is the Hunters. They missed the perfect opprotunity to add the blue versions from Infinite but instead, we get the same ones from the Wasp except one of them has some minecraft pixels on it. If they added brand new blue Hunters with the same level of paint and detail as these ones, it would have been perfect. Especially since the last blue ones on top of being hard to get, look ugly af.
According to some people, I was supposed to wrap the rubber around the mechanism once more. Either way though, the motion is wrong.
As for the Hunters, I have a feeling Mega is saving the blue ones for a Halo Universe set.
@@DemarcationMedia Yeah. And if you set it to the way its supposed to be, it keeps the rubber bands stretched which will quickly ruin the strength of the gimmick.
I am really not sure what would be a good set for them to put blue Hunters in. The Elephant would have been great but I doubt they are gonna put any more figs into that, I doubt we will be getting a new tank any time soon and even if we do, I imagine they would want to do something different with the minifigs. But they could put 1 in a Wolverine which is something they havent made in a long while.

@@DemarcationMedia Damn, I always forget about the Spade lol. Idk why a Hunter would be included in there though. Skirmsihers fit the best with that sort of vehicle.

Your placement for the rubber piece is wrong, it should go around the front stick once and go back to the back stick and connect it to the same stick to make a v shape, so that way it stays still and when u twist the knob it makes a good clicking sound, it won’t snap the band but try it
Hm. The instructions weren't clear on that. Still though, the movement is wrong

The whole mechanism is built for the wrong movement--you'd have to rebuild it

This set isn’t bad I think the tank shooter is a bit small but still descent the figs are cool I think it’s all mainly for the hunters and the general and maybe the tank.

You do not need the inserts for the treads they will run on any surface including your table
They won't sadly. No matter if I pushed down or not, the front ones in particular just slide.
There's a pistol that functions that way. it's called blowforward

Yes, however, not with just the extras. Basically, the barrel would have to be held forward with the rubber band pulling on it at all times. So the little spinning section inside would have to be square.

The scorpion is the most iconic tank in video game history! IMO of course. Halo is more popular than command and conquer and even Warhammer 40K so the Mammoth and BaneBlade tank isn't as popular.

That's not Chak Lok, he has red markings on his armor and this elite does not while the regular warlords in the games have shinny gold armor and no markings like Chak lok does

Yeah, idk it does that, specially when I just equip it with custom weapons I made for it out of stuff, and I slid it into the hand because the handle was the same shape and size as the assault rifle and other weapons that came with it

yo the driver side on mine doesnt want to turn either, on both of them
I wonder why. I dismantled part of the tread pod and reassembled it to try and fix the issue, but no results
@@DemarcationMedia me aswell even swapped from side to side from set to set, swapped tracks and both of them do it bad on the driver side. and when i lift it up the gunner side sags a lot more too

You can't turn the knob the other way--it physically won't turn

I just want to point out that the action thingy the turret does is called recoil, and a lot of tanks do that when firing.
It doesn't recoil though: the barrel pops forward. Recoil is when the barrel jerks backward.
