If Mega is doing a whole line of Halo 2 sets for the 20th anniversary I would love to see a Halo 2 scarab or more realistically a delta halo structure set with some of the new odsts and Chief fighting the covenant in those ancient forerunner stone structures.
i could be wrong but that random marine could be the marine from the cutscene on the bridge when you're chasing the scarab or she could be the marine in the tunnels that gives you the shotgun.
So the pilot helmet. Was a translucent, printed CoD helmet piece. That was then re-tooled in Pro-builder rescue helicopter. Then brought back for halo infinite. Meanwhile the flood, I think all the changes were done to match the Halo 2 combat forms aethetic in the games. While the previous versions matched halo 3 better. That definitely looks like the OG fuel rod. Won't know for certain until I have it in hand. Also, 343 guilty spark is actually also in a new color, well. For him anyway. Ooooooo, the brute honor guards color look to match the orginal. That's actually sweet
Got 2 coming. Overall this set is outstanding value. The new ODST mold hopefully is used in other sets. Really nothing much to complain about here. Nice review as always. Keep up the good work.

Halo 2 is my 2nd favorite halo behind reach, Im so glad both of those games have a perfect set for them now with the falcon sweep and now this, can’t wait to get it!
The reason Cortana is purple is because in the OG Halo 2, she was purple. They made her blue in the Anniversary edition. Also Mega needs to make a Halo 2 ODST garrison pack... and it better have ODSTs.
Interesting thing is Corporal Palmer is from the short story “Palace Hotel” and while not all of that story is canon, aspects like the Marine greeting you by giving you a shotgun being Corporal Palmer are canon.

They also reintegrated a different character a few years back in the Memory Agent story being (in all but name) the character of Lieutenant Parisa, one of Chief’s childhood friends.

the only other figure i wish this had was a spec ops elite. would pair nicely with the grunt. Also wish they would do more specific figure packs like a spec ops covenant figure pack or a weapons pack again.
Color changes in army builders can be nice. It adds more diversity that though troops may have generic, standard issue uniforms, Flood infections will discolor differently along with combat.
I wish they didnt try and count the monitors and cortana as entire figures unless they were gonna at least give Regret his throne too. Something someone pointed out to me that would have been a perfect inclusion with this set is a Jackal Sniper considering how infamous they were in Halo 2. I will say, the box art is fucking amazing and I am super hyped for that High Councilor since it was one of my most wanted figures from Mega.
So... how does one get into that factory? Edit: So, iirc Cpl Palmer was a generic marine with a file name, similar to Sergeant Johnson in CE. The name was given in the short novelization of the Battle of New Mombasa in the book, HALO: Evolution when the Master Chief meets up with a squad of marines who are led by the Corporal. This also occurs in the the game, but no name is given. Also, for that purple Cortana, she was purple in the classic version of HALO 2. Anyway, enough of my rambling. This set looks pretty good, I'll probably pick up one or two, however one thing that bothers me is the lack of continuity. Most figures are in their classic look, however some like Stacker aren't Stacker has the anniversary helmet and torso armor/ This could've meant that they could go full anniversary style and finally give -me- us more HALO Wars style marine armor, but I'm sure not too many people would be bothered by this except for me.
Idea for the multiplayer Spartans: you could take 343 guilty spark and 2401 penitent tangent and have them control the Spartans, (because they’re gummy and look like ai’s) like their own reclaimer that follows their orders

Something you missed was how certain figures are specific to different versions of the game. Some are anniversary specifically some are original specifc

I hope that they strat getting sold in stores again...right now the only place i can find halo merchandise is ross or online, and i hope they make an alpha 9 pack with all the members, it would make it a lof easier to get the full squad but also skyrocket in price! Anyway the halo 2 anniversary set looks awesome! I hope ill get soon!
Ok, this is a really good set, if I had ONE complaint, it would be the multiplayer Spartans, I feel like it would have been better if they had just put in Truth and Mercy instead, but even then, very happy with this set.

This is an awesome set the only thing I wish was different was for mega to make a new grunt mold for the spec ops grunt. Specifically the spec ops grunt mold we see in the first mission where we play as the arbiter. Fantastic review though that’s my only complaint.
But there is nothing different about those grunts compared to their non-specops brethern. Unless you are reffering to Halo 2 Anniversary where they wear the facemasks from Halo Reach's heavy and specops grunts?
Yes that’s what I’m referring too. I figured they may have done that mold since they could easily reuse it if they maybe did more Halo CE or Reach sets. But I do see for this specific anniversary pack they were going with the OG Halo 2 art design which in that case yea every grunt was shaped like a dorito with different colors to specify their rank.

I think you're right that ODST helmet does look quite narrow... but at the same time I LOVE it, it just adds to the spec-ops look of the H2A ODST

Maybe they have budget limits, so they decide to include 3 "not really figures", to make others better, but 2 monitors is still too much.

The Scarab came out about ten years ago and that set is HUGE so that throne isn't exactly easy to get

I just received my first two of these packs and I had one Chief with the Halo 2 head and one with the Halo 3 head, I'm not entirely sure why.
