0:22 as someone who has over 600 hours in Starfield, it took me a solid 10 seconds to realize it was someone who built the Consular in Starfield, they did a really nice job
00:29 that is a custom job from the computer game Starfield. I recognise the parts. For those who don't know you can build starships from scratch in the game using hundreds of different parts. Many players try to build their fave ships from different franchises. I do have to say whoever made this Republic Diplomatic ship using starfield parts did a damn good job.
From a humble diplomat to an aggressive negotiator. One might never thought of the Consular-class cruiser as being very modular & versatile in performing several military roles while being a VIP transport
Well to be fair, during peace times or against small-tier forces the PSF and the Judical Forces are very effective. The Russan Reformations were a good way to run the Galaxy, they just needed some tweaking here and there to be their most effective because as we saw during the Stark Hyperspace War as well as the Clone Wars, when fighting an actual army that can hold lots of territory the PSF and Judicals are to few in number and even sometimes skill level to deal with such a threat and properly protect the Republic and its people thats why some kind of army is needed like the GAR.
The ship, went form an unarmed Diplomatic transport, to an easily heavily armed transport. You could argue, pound per pound, it was probably the most heavily armed ship of the Clone Wars, considering its size and weapons.
I wonder if the variant used in the Stark Hyperspace War was comparable to the Clone Wars era armed refit. The NEGW seems to indicate that the former were being manufactured by QOM and not CEC, so it could’ve been a version modified to the point of being proprietary.
What's really funny is that at the 8:51 Mark, I was wondering why they weren't used much in the clone wars, but it seems like you guys anticipated folks. Wondering about that because you guys answered it literally a second later. This video was a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one. Looking forward to more stuff like this :)
I loved the Bad Batches Marauder, but can you imagine if they had a Charger c70 retrofit. A little big for a small unit, but still it would have been awesome to see it a lot more.
If Star Wars ever makes a what if Series There Are a few I would love to see like Ruusan Reformation never happened, Now that would be an interesting change to the clone wars. Think how many things would be different And It also would work/ go together with if the yuuzhan vong Invaded a few months before the Revenge of the sith
Then, there's the brother to the consular class used in SWTOR, used by the jedi characters, and man, that thing can pack a punch against a small fleet.
Can you talk about the Correlia star system during the Clone wars? What did the Correlia do in the clone wars and how did it relate to the Galactic Republic?
The Consular did quite well, given that it dates back to the Ruusan Reformations - making it around 1000 years old in the Phantom Menace! Though every other source I can find insists that the point defence laser cannon are the ones fixed in the forward position, above the bridge... Quite why anyone thought that was a good idea I don't know, but it's in the official material.
I love the C70 Charger, infact I like it better the CR90, I dunno why tbh, I just always liked the shape of the Bridge and it's 4x2 Turbo Laser set-up. It looks fast, Aggressive and just perfect for screening/convoy Escort, I love it. My favorite ship in the Figate/Corvette Class overall is The Hammerhead though
I would’ve thought any state with dedicated unarmed diplomatic vessels would have a standing order- any attack on said vessel means automatic sanctions, any destroyed means automatic declaration of war.
I always thought they were very elegant ships if I’m being honest, obviously they were a variant of the blockade Runner class like the Tantive 4, by as you can see by shape and design that they were very similar.
One thing I desire to know is why didn't the Rebel Alliance take these Consular class cruisers and pair them with the CR-90s they had for a more lightning strike force of small ships
@@Eg0n97 true but I do mean the more Star Wars canon reason like after the Rebel Alliance was formed why didn't the rebels try to get some of these cruisers
Why would you steal one of these things if a CR90 is just as ubiquitous while being superiour in just about every aspect? Heck, I'd even prefer Sphyrna class Hammerhead Corvette over any Consular model.
If I had a charger c70 I’d name it The Negotiator. Ideally I’d swap the factory turbo lasers for light turbo lasers that are quick enough to target smaller craft and I’d swap the hyperdrive for a class 1 or better
What was the kind of ship the new Supreme Chancellor Palpatine used at the end of The Phantom Menace to arrive on Naboo for Qui-Gon Jinn’s funeral and the Naboo victory celebration?
Geetsly, the Prequel ship I would like to see a video about is called the Star Cruiser(?). From Ep 2, it was weaponless, had a rounded top, and had the same consular red color scheme as the ships in this video. It looked to be around 100m long, 15m wide, and 10m tall. 3 main engines in a triangle configuration.
Prefer the pod replaced with a missile pod.. 10 concussion launchers and 200 missiles for quick swap out and 6 DTL plus a quad laser cannon for common weapons.. squadrons of 10..
10:04-10:06: Only half a platoon thats only 18 Clones, even adding in the 9 crew members who would no doubt also be Clones, thats only 27 Clones. The escape ship on the old model could hold more at 32, plus a little extra space for Droids. Seems like a downgrade in that respect. Still a very cool ship through and a great symbol of the Republic, hope the New Republic brought it and a lot of the older stuff back like AT-TEs when they took over and crushed the Empire.
Same old CEC lore mismatch- massive engines, hyped for speed, but accompanying specs put it slower at sublight than most capital ships. Heck, the Devastator would win a sublight race vs the Tantive IV, specs as given. Don't buy from CEC, kids! It's all hype. Cool kids buy Nubian. Even Sorusuub models are faster in the published guides!
The Consular class deserved to be called the aggressive negotiator of a ship
I agree with you!
0:22 as someone who has over 600 hours in Starfield, it took me a solid 10 seconds to realize it was someone who built the Consular in Starfield, they did a really nice job
Same as 1:15. The thing that tipped me off was the shield generator.
Favorite ship to build
i was just going to say something similar, you can see the bridge and the shield generator

i've built the aluminum falcon sofar.

It’s still crazy that before the Clone Wars the Republic didn’t have a standing Army, mostly just planetary security forces
Well to be fair, during peace times or against small-tier forces the PSF and the Judical Forces are very effective. It looks like a Solid replacement for the Razor-Crest!!! 🤠👍

Consular-class cruiser is one of my favorite ships in star wars l always felt kind of bad for these ships
I have this as a Lego Set and it’s one of my favorites of all time.
Episode I set or Clone Wars set?
4:50. Nice little bit of Space Engineers there. Love that game.
Then, there's the brother to the consular class used in SWTOR, used by the jedi characters, and man, that thing can pack a punch against a small fleet.
Yep, that is hands-down one of my personal favorite ships in the game.
The Consular should’ve been modified to carry 4 TIEs like the Gozanti. It would’ve been far more effective as a patrol ship
The charger c70 is one of my favorite ships

Seems like just about every Corellian ship is capable of being modified for war. Way to go CEC!
Did he just show pictures from consular cruisers build in Starfield?
Yes
Gotta love a ship that can do so much
Buy Silver Platinum & Crystalized Osmium
I'd use an old Consoler for my ship as a pirate.
I always thought they were very elegant ships if I’m being honest, obviously they were a variant of the blockade Runner class like the Tantive 4, by as you can see by shape and design that they were very similar.
Beautiful ship, it’d be my ship of choice in Star Wars.
One thing I desire to know is why didn't the Rebel Alliance take these Consular class cruisers and pair them with the CR-90s they had for a more lightning strike force of small ships
Because george didn't create them from his remarkable imagination yet
@@Eg0n97 true but I do mean the more Star Wars canon reason like after the Rebel Alliance was formed why didn't the rebels try to get some of these cruisers

That was the CSS-1 class Star Shuttle, built by Corellian Engineering, @FastTquick .
Is stated as 80 metres long, meantime.
i love this ship. it never got a kit

Are you referring to the Corellian Star Shuttle?
@@lachlanthomaslangmead1651 Could be. It looked like a tube with a flat bottom and some of the side edges of the SR-71.
Just looked. Yep, that's it. thanks! :)
@@TheGenericavatar no problem 👍
0:26 hold up. Wait a minute. Some’n’ ain’t right.
Why the starfield images 🤔
What’s up with the ole 70’s roof bathroom vent on that ai generated version where the rear turbo laser is lol!
Hey some space engineers shots cool.
With all that sensor power, the weapon tracking would be dangerous to interceptors.

Please do a sepárate list on your channel with all the character analysis.
If an engine could accelerate a mass at 2040 g it could easily propel it faster than 900 km/h
love your content
46s I think that’s the fastest I’ve gotten here.

You can't be neutral without being armed and protected obviously
-🇨🇭
Kinda strange to see a replica of the consular in starfield..😅
I get retrofitting the fleet you already have...but building these things over modern CR90s? Na, I'm not buying that.
Funny how anticlimactic it was in the lego complete saga
Why are you using Starfield ship pictures?

Starfeild ships don't belong and are ugly.

First let’s go
