I just followed this recipe and these sweet potatoes are AMAZING! Thanks so much for this 😊
This is one of My heavenly comfort food. Is there anyone who doesn’t like this?!?! 😋 and it’s good for you in every way. ❤️
It's something I look forward to consuming! Being excited to feed oneself is very important for health. We must please not only our bodies but our palates, too. Satisfying the palate is comforting to the body, mind, and soul. It is true soul food
@@JenniferMyersthese Japanese sweet potatoes gave my skin a healthy youthful look . You’re absolutely right about these being great for skin health.
I'd enjoy a video of you explaining your daily routine such as when you fast, break your fast, meals per day, workouts and such.
This this my favorite specially in the winter. Its even better with kimchi.
I have been cooking sweet potato in many ways but I've just tried this method and it's definitely the better I've tasted, even if no other ingredients at all have been added. Thank you for sharing!
Plz don’t ever stop uploading videos and giving us these wonderful tips 😭💖
I’ve already implemented a lot of them into my own routine & life~ you’re the best!
Love goguma! Never thought to cook in on the broil setting. That sounds delicious!
I just randomly found your channel today and it's super cool to find another half korean like me. Goguma is my favorite too, I love it so much that my family always buys me goguma cake on my birthday.
My new favorite channel!! Binge watching all your other videos! Your approach to health, wellness, and beauty is very much (if not identical!) to my own. Very excited to try the kimchi recipe and trying to muster the courage to incorporate liver into my diet. 😁
Love these recipe videos hopefully more to come for 2020!
I just tried this and it came out absolutely perfect! Thank you 😍
Love this kind of video! Thanks for sharing!
Excellent Jennifer. Thank you.
Ive just subscribed to your channel watching the other skin care videos and now I got a notification saying you’ve just uploaded a new video! Such a treat! Thank you!☺️
Thanks for the tip! I normally boiled them in a couple inches of water but broiling is better. So good.
You are the best Jennifer love your videos. I already learn I lot from you god bless you.
I love them. My Filipina co-worker brings them to me at work!!
Just found your channel today and I'm so glad! 😍
Thanks for sharing. Very informative and helpful!
These Japanese Yams are so delicious. I wish my supermarkets carried them often.
May this New Year be special in every way… bringing you the gift of love and excitement. ❤️
🤗😘Look forward to hearing from you!👼🌸💐😊
I love sweet potatoes 🍠. Thank you for this video!
They’re so satisfying and delicious! The Japanese varieties are especially tasty!!
Jennifer Myers I wish I could try the Japanese version. Not available for me unfortunately. Thx for telling me the yoga you practice.
Happy New Year beautiful!!! Congrats on the success of your channel ❤️
Thank you, GAME_THEORY
Hi, I just wanted to say I love your videos so much. Love from Mexico.
I absolutely love your lifestyle. I have always been one to find natural ways and always avoid doctors and medicines. I believe food is the source to our medical problems and such.... Your awesome can't wait for your next video.
I love them too.♥️
I cant wait to try this. I usually just boil my sweet potatoes as i like the way it tastes but this seems much tastier. Cheers!
Thanks for inspiring 😍✨
My favorite. Murasaki sweet potatoes are wonderful
They’re so yummy!
You can get them at Trader Joe’s
Brought these for the 1st time today while at my local Hmart. I was looking to add sweet potatoes to my growing vegetarian diet. Had no idea it was great for skin too. Win, win. I will definitely try them with kimchi ❤
Cool! Thanks for sharing.
I couldnt find the purple ones locally but I tried this method with yams and they came out absolutely perfect !
Wow what a coincidence my mom just bought some sweet potatoes and we ate it and you upload this video.
My fave potatoes!
This looks so good! Do you have particular method to reheat if you refrigerate/freeze them? These would be great to meal prep in advance for breakfast or lunch.
Soooooo good!
These are my favorite sweet potatoes. I also like the other kind of Japanese sweet potato with the purple flesh.
Yes! I love them, too!
Could you also let me know if retino does anything with the pores ? Any suggestions for pores?
very nice presentation. thank you
I’ve never used the broiling setting, do you choose a temperature like baking? If so, what did you set it to?
Does the purple sweet potato (the one that’s purple inside and out) have the same benefits as this one?
These are delicious and my go to comfort food especially during the winter time and you can cheaply get a whole bag at a Trader Joe’s.
Trader Joe's huh, I sure hope so here in Ohio, I'm going in next couple days TYFS, BLESSINGS TO YOU AND YOURS
I love yams!
I made sweet potato your way and God it tastes amazing!!!!! Thank you!! Hope you come back soon! I miss you ❤
Wonderful
I have a question about Retin A. I started last night for first time with 0.05 , a pea size, I didn't feel any sensation, burning, tightening, redness. Nothing, like putting a normal beauty product, is this normal or should I try 0.1 % ?
i really wish i had time to cook good, nutritious food like you do but I have my studies and school to attend to. But may I ask what your schedule is or what do you typically do in a day? I’d really like to know how you end up making time for making your wonderful meals.
Hi Jennifer! Just wanted to clarify if you poked holes prior to broiling? Thank so much!
Hi jen 🤗 i grew up eating the japanease sweet potato. I boil mine and sometimes bake it.
I read somewhere boiling it helps retain most nutrient rather than bake it. I love it both ways tho.
Btw, I tried the purple one and it was nice but this one is my fav😊
Next time Can we also see your pretty face with the video .
I've never loved a RUclipsr in my life this much also I am commenting my heart out , knowing you will read . Hashh .
Your kindness touches me so! 💗
@@JenniferMyers I picked of some of these at the Asian store the other day and they tasted soooo delicious. They have a very sweet taste to them . These are my new favorite carbs .
Thank you for showing us how to cook these. Do you add anything to them or do you eat them plain? I’ve never tried them but will look for these now. Did they come out tasting like your Aunties?
Hi I just discovered your Chanel and just love it I have a 2 part question where can you purchase Japanese sweet potatoes 🍠 and is The Obagi sunscreen you use the tinted version I have dry mature skin and was wondering if the sunscreen is drying I have been trying to use Retin A for over 15 years but I stop and start so many times I can’t even count but I’m giving it another try With consistency hopefully this time thank you again for great content in your videos
How do you take care of your hands? I've seen ladies with smooth faces but when you see the hands, it's like a different person, the hands look older, thanks 😊
she wears gloves when going out
She also puts her facial skin care on her hands
Thank you for sharing your knowledge! I’m wondering, doesn’t exposing a vegetable to such high heat for such a prolonged period destroy an excessive amount of the phytonutrients? I thought steaming is best? Maybe not as tasty though 😋
Really wonderful & healthy 😍🎋
Enjoyed your times dear friend !!! stay blessed !!! 346🌷
Goguma & Kimchi are the perfect match 😋 (never tried broiling)
Two favorites and staples in my diet! I love.
It is Korean style!
Where can I find this and also thank you for these recipe videos!
brazilian sweet potatoes are exactly like this ones i was trying to find a recipe with em so thankss
Hey Jennifer, do you like to eat these on their own or do you have it as a meal combined with other foods?
I love Japanese sweet potatoes, and I will try broiling them per your mommy!
They look so good and I always see them on Instagram but how would I make these without a broiler??
Hi Jennifer! Do you eat the skin as well? I need to try to find these in my grocery store, if possible. Thanks for sharing
Im sooo hungry now!! Can I freeze them with skin or better to just put it in the fridge? If you can advise the best way to store. Cant wait to try it out~ Thanks!!
I eat Japanese sweet potatoes at lest 3 times a week. Best variety in my opinion
Hi, I've been figuring out how to do this for so long but I don't know how to broil in an oven (I mean I never try 'broiling' something). Could you tell me what is the temperature for the broiler? Can I bake it in the oven instead, and could you suggest me the way to bake them (eg. temperature & time)
I can't express how much I like your videos, it's relaxing. I learn a lot from you❤️ and what a coincidence! I have a classmate that look so much alike you, also, she has freckles/birthmark on the face like you. I don't know if it's appropriate to point her out.
Anyway, really grateful if you scan through this comment and leave a reply, have a wonderful day ❤️
Eating some now :)
You need more followers! You are so beautiful and I really like your videos 😋
Great video as always 👍❤️
"Sweet potatoes are the best!"...
Happy New year 🌹✨ I want to start practicing yoga, do you have any tips for a beginner? ☺️💖❤️
Keep coming back to this video because we love this recipe for making these sweet potatoes.
We typically end up doing a custom broil with these at 425-450 rather than 500. Flipping at 30min mark then finished for 25min.
They do well in the fridge for next days too.
will 425-450 prevent potato from having burnt skin while inside is still soft?
what type of oil do you use for your skin ?
Looks delicious! Unfortunately I do not trust my oven in a broiler setting. I have ditched regular potatoes upon discovering JSP. I buy them from Whole Foods and bake them. They are DELICIOUS. I'm wondering if they lose their nutritional value by bring broiled for a long time?
D o you eat the skins or add anything to them? Can you just use regular yams?
I think we dont have a broil setting on our oven :(
Do you soak the sweet potatoes in water before you roast them? In my experience, you have to so that with the western-style variety.
Your voice gives me joy! Show your face next time. Great energy!
Happy 2020
Can u please make a video about your skin care , cuz ur skin is heelllaa beautiful and healthy!
Did you pierce them before broiling them? I’m wondering if that affects the flavor and texture.
Which yoga do you do?
No piercing! I asked my mother and she firmly replied, “no!” Lol what mommy says, goes! The type of yoga I practice is Kripalu vinyasa. I went to school there and studied yoga intensively. That is my daily practice!
Lol! Yes, MAM to the no piercing!
Is this broiled on high or low? Do you eat the peel?
Hi. What temp should I put on the broiler? I didn’t hear you mention the temperature anywhere in the video. Otherwise a good video.
The video mentioned the temperature at 500° degrees.(3:19)
How many times a week do you eat sweet potatoes?
Hello ☺️ Using the broiler, do you move the rack to the lowest position to avoid smoking/burning because the length of time is so long?
That's my question too! I'm amazed they weren't cremated to a pile of ash!
@@lindagiovannazambanini6218 lol, well I guess we have to try it
Hi jennifer !! i love you and your videos so much! you’ve taught me so much coming into the new year in so little time and i just want to personally thank you.
as i struggle with self love, anxiety, etc. you help me see that the glass is half full and i deeply appreciate you
slowly i will become confident within myself
thank you again xo
also can you make a video with what products you use in the shower to maintain healthy skin all over?
you’re so beautiful inside and out!!
We have lot of Goguma here in the PI😊 we call it "kamote"😁
It's so yummy!
I was wondering if you could do a video explaining why you do intermittent fasting and the benefits behind it? I’ve been doing it on and off, but have been mostly consistent, for 5 months now and lost a substantial amount of weight. I used to have a binge eating disorder, but now I only eat when I’m hungry which isn’t very often. I’ve noticed a lot of downsides too, mainly feeling malnourished and having low energy. My stomach has become very sensitive too. This could also have to do with the fact that I’m a vegetarian so perhaps I’m not getting the proper vitamins and nutrients. Lately I’ve gone back to eating more consistently throughout the day, but I also love to just drink green tea in the mornings which helps a lot. I’m only 18 and have a lot to learn so I would love to here your insight on this topic.
Hi Jennifer! Thanks for sharing, as always :) may I know, what do you snack on, or do you snack at all?
I don't snack. I eat abundantly when I eat (I practice fasting and feasting)!!!
@@JenniferMyers ah I see.. Thank you! You're inspiring me to change my eating habits. I love to snack on processed and sugary foods (crackers dunked in hot chocolate!) but I can tell my body is not loving it. Feasting and fasting - I will definitely try that! :)
@@lizajohan7708 It has really helped me in every way. I am no longer preoccupied with food. In this practice, I'm able to listen to my body's natural hunger signals and when it's time for me to eat, I EAT. And I eat until I'm fully satisfied (I enjoy eating and I fulfill my senses and my stomach)! I really love this lifestyle.
Do you add anything to them, or just eat them plain?
Nothing needed. They are like ooey gooey candy. I enjoy them as is.
I love eating it this way! my mom will worry about me because she now think I have a eating problem of eating too much of it haha it's addicting sorry mom
Do you eat the potato skin as well? Or only the inside?
Do you consume ghee!? I LOVE your content! I have struggled so bad with binge eating in the recent years. You remind me of my younger self. I felt like I knew exactly who I was and what I wanted. I have seriously lost that and your videos really bring me back to that person. (I ate sardines daily too!) now i really wanted to get back to the “old me” and you are inspiring me so much. Thank you!
Ghee is fantastic. I make my own!
Can you show us how to make ghee?
Where do I purchase Japanese sweet potatoes? Thank you for the new video, very informative
Farmer’s markets tend to have them either that or stores with international or more ethnic options
Do you use castor oil on your eyebrows as well ? x
Yeeeyy
Okay ...just saw your reply about WF carrying them.
Unfortunately the Trader Joe by me doesnt have them.
What's the difference in yours and regular sweet potatoes, where do you find them
These can be found at many grocery stores like Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s and chain grocers like Fresh Thyme Market. I’ve seen them at smaller local stores, too. Asian grocery will always have them!
Also the difference between regular orange yams and these are that Japanese sweet potatoes are higher starch and taste sweeter; the flavor is completely different. They’re my favorite kind of sweet potato! It’s like nature’s candy.
@@JenniferMyers thank you Jennifer,
@@JenniferMyers thanks Jennifer, you just answered my question
do you eat the skins?
I just steamed mine. No seasoning. And it was actually really tasty.
I was surprised. I was expecting just another sweet potatoe
At what temperature did you set your broiler ???
I think she said 500
the one food you can eat without anything else.
Hey Jennifer, I would be interested to see what do you use on your body, since your skin looks very beautiful and healthy all-over. Do you dry brush? Moisturize with coconut oil or something else? Hope you acknowledge my recommendation. I have been really loving your videos, keep up the good work Jenny ❤️
