Aha, I see you're friends with Evan from Live Thing History~ Aye also yes the difference in the SoF and real service puttees is quite different, my pair are from ebay and date from the 60s I believe~
I am indeed! Mate has a great collection! It's amazing how much the colour and fabric is different, I wish companies could get their act together. A lot of the guys who do First World War have post Second World War puttees that been sewn together to create long puttees because of how difficult long puttees have become to obtain.

Hello there mr Nice video of yours. My granddad was a hong kong veteran of the Royal Rifles of Canada. Unfortunatelly I dont have his post war uniform only his medals. For honoring him and his fellow C force members im making a sort of shrine with an post war original canadian battledress in my livingroom. The only item missing to complete it are these HK patches . Would you help me with this problem that would be really nice. Do you think the one you have in your video would be the same size as the originals awarded to the survivors of HK ? How about the material i couldnt see the details in your video. Id be thankfull for your help
Hi there! The one in my video is based off the originals and is a faithful reproduction. If you reach out to me on the Instagram or FB I can hopefully point you in the right direction to one.

@@TheFarOffStation Yes indeed, I guess this is also due to the gradual decline in the WW1 interest given that the centenary is done and gone~

@@steamengineshooray lets hope political climates allow it, so often topics of the Second World War get heated very fast these days.
