Scotland trailed 2-0 from the 1st leg but in an impressive wembley display they won 1-0 before eventually going out 2-1 on aggregate. What i find disturbing about this is, look at Paul Scholes's goal, this was 12 years ago and yet the way he chested the ball into space and tucked it away is world class.Shame England didn't have him this Euro's just think what he could have done.
This is the closest Scotland has been a big Championship in 21st century. The last time they qualified was at the FIFA World Cup 1998.
I truly believe if the SFA hadn’t mishandled Duncan Ferguson, basically forcing him to retire from national team we would have won this and done better at tournaments. We outplayed England mostly and crossed the ball loads, perfect for him. But sadly as usual The SFA managing something well is a strange thing.

you can't rule anything out in these games.... they are unpredictable. barry ferguson under advocaat was a pretty good midfielder. the players that were playing under advocaat bossed the game. mccann, ferguson and dodds bossed the game.... all 3 were playing under advocaat at rangers ruclips.net/video/zUn5re1R6gQ/видео.html he improved the scottish players. dodds was scoring wonder goals, every mccan cross highly accurate, ferguson rarely making a bad pass
If they get through the group stage it is very possible as they will only be 1 game away from it and that is all on the day. France will be difficult but not impossible to get a draw, as for Sweden they didn't even qualify for the World Cup and their better players are all in their 30s now. and that fact is Pretty much the same with Ukraine. If you think that these 2 teams will both stop England you really haven't been watching much Football last few years.

The Home Internationals was a big event in the 70s but now football's changed and playing Scotland would just be a step back, we need to reduce player fatigue rather than create fixtures where winning is of no value but losing is a embarrassment

England played terrible in this game as was a sign of things to come in the tournament itself. Stupid Cavalier Keegan Tactics against Portugal and Romania cost us not one bad tackle from Phil Neville. Least for 2012 we have a manager with some tactical prowess who might actually be able to get us to the latter stages.

just look at that scotland squad. four, perhaps five quality players in it - Ferguson, Hendry, Collins and perhaps Durrant and McCann, but that's about it. how is it possible that our modern-day team - who arguably have many far better players, including Fletcher, Brown, McFadden, Boyd and Gordon - did so much worse?
