Loved this story! From dogs to brothers, sons, uncles and friends, love flows. Firefighter to expectant mom, love grows and overcomes fears. Thank you.
I loved this heartwarming story. My favorite part was the singing of "It is Well with my Soul". That has always been one of my favorite hymns. Congratulations on another great book by Jessie and your audio of this book Jay.
🎼🎵🎤"When peace like a river, attended my way. When sorrows like sea billows roll. Whatever my lot, thou has taught me to say....it is well, it is well...with my soul.'🎹🎶❤🙏
A sweet, holiday slow burn romance. I liked these characters and their examining of themselves and what past experiences have done to them - and what things need to change. Great characters and I liked the tie in with the Hudsons, though it made me ache.
So well done - I got goosebumps when you sang the hymn. It's one of my favourites! I also loved the labour scene - it came across as very believable. Great job as always!
Thank you so much! I have to admit, the singing is what I worry over the most; glad you liked it. And yes, the labor scene was so well-written; great stuff from Jessie!
Wow what a story! The danger loving fire fighter, the expectant single mother, can they really trust each other long term? Does that mistletoe kiss mean anything? I loved this book! Thanks to a great author and a gifted narrator.
I love reading Jessie’s books. So tru to life. Jay brings the labor scene to life and it’s a flashback for me. I was delivering my 5th child and there was a patient screaming and moaning like he described. I just kept walking the halls shaking my head and had my child with not much fuss. I was laughing so hard when I heard that scene.
Hi Fern - I'm so glad you enjoyed this! My one trip (as a bystander, of course😁) into the delivery room was a bit of a mixed bag, but I remember hearing someone having a waaaaay worse time down the hall, too!
Jessie you know what I love about your novels that it touches on real life situations on love, forgiveness, understanding, healing on pass heartbreaks, this one touched on the reality that in life there will be death and life, but life keeps going on that's what I took out of the novel, @Jay you have an awesome gift from God and I'm glad you are putting this gift into action, thank you I always enjoy your narrative you bring Jessie's novels into life and I can see it playing out in a vision. PS I look forward to hearing Jessie's novels come to life with Jay ♥️ God bless you both always 🙏🏾 ❤️
Thank you so much Yolanda, for these and all your kind words. I'm so blessed to be able to work with an author like Jessie - her stories are just brimming with faith and hope (and, of course, romance).
There's just something about his singing, isn't there? I get emails from people who want to know if he has a CD out or if he's planning on making one and also emails requesting more singing in stories. So, I don't know about the first two (but I hope YES!) but I have a little control over the third, and there will definitely be more! : )
I laughed so many time…I had 5 pregnancies and births. Fortunately I wasn’t a screamer. But I did hear some screams from another woman in another room. That scared me. But I just breathed. The first one was the worst. But I was very blessed to have very fast deliveries. My last about 15 minutes after I got to the hospital. It’s wonder I made it to the hospital. The others were pretty fast. Lol. But this story was so good and I enjoyed it as I have the others. Thank you Jessie and Jay. Incredible! Looking forward to the next story! ❤️📖📖❤️
I got a big kick out of the labor scene. I’ve had 5 babies myself and could empathize. Also the singing of It Is Well With My Soul. It gave me goosebumps.
Hi Coach! I think so? It's been a little while, but I looked up that scene, and since Andrew introduces Athena as his "oldest" sister, which implies he's got more...

Thank you, Susan! Yes, this is one of my favorites, too. Wonderful, wonderful writing!

Jay has jaded me to listening to other books. You have a way to make the different characters voices come alive. Thanks Jay.

Haha! Anyone who's had a baby can relate, right? : ) And I have to agree about Jay's singing - it gets me every time.
The labor scene was hilarious!
That was so well-written, and it was a hoot to record!
Yep! And your timing is superb!

I’m loving this story! Are amber and Cecelia Andrew’s sisters? I’m currently listening to this story and I’m at chapter, where Preston enters drunk.
