Thank you so much for listening, and I'm glad you enjoyed it. You're right to not give up hope - God loves you, and he does have a plan for you. I can definitely understand how you feel - it's so hard not to feel despair sometimes. I know, for me, I just have to trust in His plan; I hope you can too.
I have been enjoying this book so much and all of a sudden I heard a quote that sounded familiar. When I looked I saw my name from all across the world in this book! I forgot I send in a quote in 2021, I think. Wow! Thank you so much for doing that! God bless you, Jessie Gussman and Jay Dyess!
Very good story. It's sad that there really are Moms like the one in this story that put her needs before her children. Liked how the movie star got involved with the children.
I loved this story and the characters! Being a mom of three sons, the scenes with the boys broke my heart at times or brought joy with the love they were receiving from Calhoun and Bellamy. I wish that stories like this were available thirteen years ago. What I learned was that our missteps and regrets can be used to God's glory. I look forward to this story coming out in print.
Thank you, Glenda! I'm happy you liked it! I agree - it's some of Jessie's best character development (although I think that's one of her strengths as a writer, so ALL her characters are great)!
A great lesson learned that you don’t have to be perfect in order to receive blessings from God. Very encouraging! Love your words Jessie Gussman and a wonderful performance Jay Dyess!
I loved this story and it is a great addition to this series. I especially liked the scene where Bellamy was left in charge of the boys and became the ring leader in chasing each other around the house and up and down the stairs. Jessie always includes scenes that create laughter somewhere in her books. Jay, your performance was great as always. Thanks to you and Jessie.
Thank you, Karen! I loved that scene too - as a former young boy, I may have engaged in a shenanigan or two that involved flipping on furniture or jumping up and down stairs!
Love the positive life issues threaded through the story without sounding like a soapbox. Jay does such a GREAT job bringing the story to life in such a natural way.
This is such a good story that is wonderfully narrated by Jay. I will definitely be watching for the book to come out on Tuesday. Thank you once again to both Jessie and Jay.
I had started another book when this one came, and I had intended to finish it before starting this one because I’m not a reader who has multiple books she’s reading. However, I caught the blurb out of the corner of my eye and was sucked in! It was great to return to North Dakota and a balm to my soul to once again be immersed in all of the marriage and life wisdom and advice. I didn’t realize how much it meant to me until I was reading this book and bookmarking so many areas.
Another great story by Jessie and great audio by Jay. Jessie was concerned about all the C names but I think Bee and the 4 D's is a great way to sign their Christmas cards.
This story hit so many of my past and present buttons I felt like I was right in the middle of it! I love the way Jessie takes broken people and situations, and brings hope and life and light into them. The discussions on where God fits in are natural and not preachy at all. Add Jay's talented voice acting to the mix, and you have a book you'll stay up until 2am to finish! Yep, I did that. 😆
Today would have been my 63rd wedding anniversary this was the best gift My hubby went to be able to Lord five years ago we have equal to your books thank you from this old lady
A wonderful story made better by the narration done by Jay. Will definitely be listening to more books narrated by Jay, written by Jessie. I really enjoyed listening to this love story and seeing how God worked everytihing out.
From Blueberries to the hills of North Dakota.I live in MN. It was so cold in MN last year they found a dog frozen to a fire hydrant I Duluth...... Great stories love how the Lord is woven in, a bit of humor I will continue on here and on to the next. Characters are great. Might make good TV series !! Like then calls the heart. Keep it up Jay
Thinking on the advice parts, I was brought up on never ending your day in an argument and my husband agrees with that, it has suited us well. There was a woman I knew, that actually said the opposite, she said to leave it there for the night and come back to it in the morning. I said what if something bad happens in the night and you have to live the rest of your life knowing that you intentionally made your last words and thoughts negative, possibly hurtful ones. She stood by her way of thinking though. It just seems backwards to me. One piece of advice I have from myself, is if you get into an argument with your spouse and those moments during that when you are most frustrated and there is a possibility of saying something that you might regret, take a deep breath and say "I reallllly love you right now" to your spouse. Use the very same tone that you would have anyway, but say it and be open to it making you both back down. If a couple has a certain type of dynamic, like the marriage I'm in, where there is a lot of laughter together, that "I really love you right now" can end up making you laugh together. It can seriously diffuse the argument. I guess if it's something majorly serious it wouldn't really work, but for those petty little ones where you are both tired and frustrated, it can work very nicely. My husband and I say I love you sooooo much and we hug and kiss a lot too, which I think its a lovely thing to do also. I wanted that dynamic for myself, because I was raised seeing my parents do that, they are clearly very much in love and enamoured with one another, even after fifty years of marriage, they flirt and cuddle and kiss like it's all still fresh and I am blessed that I found the same thing too. But give the I love you to diffuse an argument, it could work well.
Thanks again @jessiegussman for another great book, @jaydyess I love how you can switch voices for each character your awesome 👌 👏🏽 👍🏾 God bless you both always 🙏🏾 ❤️
Thank you, Susan! I'll defer to Jessie for the definitive answer, but in my mind, I imagine Crosby is taking care of her kids every day - just like Nana in Peter Pan (she's a St. Bernard, after all); plus, unlike Nana, Calhoun definitely lets her sleep inside every night!
Done the right thing, even if it was wrong???? How can those meddling ladies call themselves Christian? I liked them in the other two books.... But seriously, destroying property???? That goes beyond simple match making. And fictional or not, I am disappointed in them. Otherwise, love the book.
I agree with you - it is never okay to destroy property, even for matchmakers who think they're doing it for a good cause. I'm glad you enjoyed the book otherwise (and I do not believe they engage in such activities for the rest of the series). : ) Thanks for your thoughts!
Love listening to these. Gives me hope that maybe God has someone for me. I’m 63 and never found someone to love me.
Thank you so much for listening, and I'm glad you enjoyed it. You're right to not give up hope - God loves you, and he does have a plan for you. Not many people can go and do the voices as well as Jay. Thank you Jesse for writing such great stories with God in them
Thank you, Kathy, and I agree - I'm so blessed to just be a part of Jessie's books!

I'm so glad you're enjoying it - and thank you for that quote, Anneke!
Very good story. It's sad that there really are Moms like the one in this story that put her needs before her children. Liked how the movie star got involved with the children.
Thank you, and I agree, Pam - this is one of Jessie's best stories yet!
I love the quotes at the beginning of each chapter
Oh, so do I - a brilliant idea by Jessie, if you ask me!
Thank you Jessie and Jay for sharing your talents with us. This is another wonderful story and performance!
You're so welcome - I'm so very glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks for such wonderful observations, Lisa! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
As usual, this was a " put everything aside to listen" book, with the most excellent
narration.
Thanks
Thank you, Maxine! That's very kind of you - so glad you enjoyed it!
I really enjoyed this one. It’s an awesome story. I loved the characters.
Thank you, Glenda! I'm happy you liked it! I agree - it's some of Jessie's best character development (although I think that's one of her strengths as a writer, so ALL her characters are great)!
I started Now 😁😁😁
I really love the speach around 57 minutes mark. Such a true way to handle life. Look to the solution more than the problem. But it says so much more.
I'm glad it spoke to you, Nathalie. : ) God is good!
Oh those matchmakers! They sure keep the town on their toes! This was another great audiobook! Thank you
Haha - that they do, Rachael! Glad you enjoyed it!

Sometimes you just don't know when God will be there to help you in love. Believe in him always.
Well-said, Donna!
What a wonderful story full of caring and tenderness. But what happened to the dog?
Thank you, Susan! I'll defer to Jessie for the definitive answer, but in my mind, I imagine Crosby is taking care of her kids every day - just like Nana in Peter Pan (she's a St. Bernard, after all); plus, unlike Nana, Calhoun definitely lets her sleep inside every night!
