I really do like seeing real people brought into these stories. And Hoover’s unexpectedly tender heart and how he can really dig deeply into things. And these ladies and their antics. Always a bright spot. Makes me want to visit these places. I really like the lessons on choices and doing hard things. Another lovely audio. You’d think only a month after reading the book it wouldn’t be engaging to listen to..but you’d be so wrong! Thanks Dyess for another amazing listen!
Featuring Jay and Chasity in this story really added to the fun. This book and the whole series gave me many hours of satisfying entertainment. I've mentioned in past reviews that I often listen while getting on with some tiresome task - it makes the time fly by. I'd like to know Taft is going to get his story? Great job Jessie & Jay ..... I'm off to find my next narrated book. Blessings Anne Kennedy
Hi, Anne! This series was SO much fun to write, and adding Jay and Chas made me giggle as I wrote. And, of course, Jay's comedic performances in this series are hilarious and make the books so much funnier. To answer your question about Taft - I don't know. I know that's not what you wanted to hear, but it's the best I can do right now. I'd definitely like to write his story!
It feels like family when I listen to the audiobook, I like the patience that Hoover has for the love of his life Kori, omgness the senior ladies had me chucking this buckelist is hilarious, lol Miss Gertrude reminds me of myself the point of listening to Jessie's novels narrative of Jay I look forward to listening everyday, I'm reminded of the scripture that says 1Corinthians 13: 4 love is patience and kind--- thank you @JessieGussman for always putting a smile on my face and making me chuckle with your creativity in writing 😃 and @JayDyess you always bring the story to life✨️ ❤️ PS I hope Miss Agnes is ok, I'll find out in the next book 📖 🙂
Ha! I'm so glad we can share some laughter together. : ) I'm with you - Jay makes the story come to such beautiful life that the characters feel like family. Miss Gertrude isn't the only one! lol
@@Godsgivenword Haha! As long as you're not holding your breath. : ) Seriously I loved writing these, but my cowboys are more popular, so it just makes sense to write what people love. I really want to come back to roms, though. : )
Loved this book! So many life lessons, hard and not so hard. I especially loved the comedy in between to make this easy to listen to with a smile on my face. Jay’s references to himself and the author nobody remembers are very entertaining with a wink, wink😏added. I recommend this listen wholeheartedly!
@@SaywithJay by the way, I just listened to/watched Ernie Johnson Jr's video. Very touching. It does my heart good to know that there are people in this world that truly care.
I have enjoyed all of this series, but I think this book has been my favorite. I know it says book 5 of 5 but I sure hope there are more to come. These "old ladies" are young at heart and that is what makes them fun and this series so enjoyable.
Thanks for this awesome story and video, Jessie and Jay! Jay, I don't know how you read some of those lines without laughing uncontrollably. I was getting weird looks from my family because I was laughing so much while listening.
Loved this series! It was so fun to visit Good Grief Idaho and met all the interesting characters. I laughed out loud so many times and hated to see the end of each book. Jay, you make it hard to listen to any other narrator. I have turned off probably some pretty good books just because I couldn't stand the narration. Maybe I'm like Ms. Gertrude in some ways. Just love listening to all your many voices. Keep up the good work. Jessie, love your books. You know what small town life really is. Thanks for giving us a way to escape, to laugh and to remind us what life is really about. You keep on writing!
Thank you so much for your kind words, Tammye! I agree that this series is so amazingly funny and well-written! I'm glad you enjoyed the audios, and I'm sure Ms. Gertrude would share her tent in my front yard if you're ever in the neighborhood! 😁
All I can say that I haven't said about this series already is that I'm sorry it's over. 🙁 The mix of love, laughter, and life lessons can't be found anywhere else, and there will never be anyone else like Miss Agnes either! ❤😪

Haha! Let's just say Jessie took a LOT of creative license with that scene! I have had some wonderful people send me a few very special gifts & cards, but definitely no undergarments of any kind (yet)! 😂😂😂
I'm afraid not, Mellody - I sure wish there was! The ladies of the Cherry Tree Assisted Living Facility aren't done though: they show up in Sweet Water, ND for an unexpected appearance in Just A Cowboy's Lifetime Love (Flyboys of Sweet Briar Ranch book 11)!
I smile every time I hear Hoover’s droll voice, ever since he said ‘I can help’ in the kitchen from the last book.

Love the elderly ladies and the humor and spice they add to the story.
Thank you, Colleen - glad you're enjoying it!
Oh my heart! We love you miss Agnes!! It says a lot, when I feel like I'm mourning a book character as if they were a real person in my life! xx
Jessie definitely has that effect!
Love the references & adding in Jay & Chasidy into the story

Oh Ms. Gertrude, how she makes me chuckle! Close to the end and so enjoyable! 😃❤
Glad you're enjoying it!
I wish this series wasn't over. I'd love to hear Taft's story.
I know! I hope we can all convince Jessie to write more rom-coms (although, to be fair, she has plenty of humor in her other stories naturally)!
