Just hearting the comment alone is rough to be considered a reply.
Thank God he mentioned Love Will Find a Way!
In fact, The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride is the main reason why it is a sequel that always deserved respect for having a soundtrack that even rivals the original and other Renaissance soundtracks.
Much more so than The Lion King films like the The Lion King remake (or so it might happen that way) and definitely The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar!

I'm sure he still has stronger healing powers than Sakura Haruno, whom we are scared that PhantomStrider might praise as a teenage woman that is one of the most powerful animated females as well as Elsa, Korra and The Powerpuff Girls (when Craig McCracken directed it before Chris Savino [who thankfully we can't bring back thanks to his allegations of sexual assault and making Dexter's Lab look like Hotel Transylvania when it was directed by him. Speaking of The Loud House, it's just sad that he even put it on his list of greatest cartoons in any category. In fact, The Loud Family might even make Sakura Haruno look like an empowered, underappreciated character! Yeah, they are THAT bad instead of good, especially Lola Loud!!!] and the modern reboot of the series, The Powerpuff Girls were such relatable, powerful characters. But they are girls, not adults!! Plus PhantomStrider even said that they were less than amazing compared to the rest when the whole cast used to be so amazing and full of life back then). Personally, I think Simba's personality is fine in Lion King 2; He is the same lion, but now with the burden of his own pride, and faced with SCAR'S FORMER PRIDE AND HEIR, he is of course going to be stubborn and bitter. He is scared of Kovu filling in Scar's position like he was trained and indoctrinated, and Kiara having to face the same homelessness, loss and grief he did over Mufasa.
If I were in Simba's position, I would definitely act as he does. Kiara and Kovu breaking up the battle is the perfect wake-up call for Simba, and he realizes he fucked up.

@@JamesTalksMovies I confess that I haven't watched this full video yet. I just watch part before I get bored, since Strider is a nice guy, though just "personality-wise". My favorite movie which is hated by PhantomStrider I was thinking about was The Emoji Movie. And yeah, I know that a grand majority (across 98.78%) of the people on this Planet (Earth's) most populous world, despises the emoji movie like he does, but Strider joining that hateclub just worsens my anxious feelings for being such an underrated Sony film, while in that state, most haters do nothing but nitpick by treating their negative taste like if it is a fact, when it's not. Admit or deny it, I ain't no dumba*s here, just my unpopular opinion on an entertainment-purposely-made movie/film.
As I said earlier in this reply, I haven't checked all of Strider's "Worst Forgotten Disney Sequels" yet, but I do plan of doing so eventually!

I absolutely loved the Tinkerbelle franchise when I was a little kid. And I may not be a huge Princess or Fairy fan anymore, it still left me some nostalgia from when I was a kid. My favorite out of the 6 movies however is the Great Rescue. Because the plot where fairy’s and humans meet is pretty decent. But action scenes like the Waterfall scene is so memorable to me. Or some nice calming scenes where Tinkerbelle and the girl drew pictures in a scrapbook. The beginning is very great and towards the end where the girl flies through London is just amazing and beautiful to me. And everything is just so well animated and with amazing scenes all make me feel warm and cozy or excited and thrilled. The characters like the girl is just a normal girl, but she’s actually really important because of her believe of fairies that make her special. Which of course the main theme of this story is to believe and I felt that it was made just as good as Peter Pan in my opinion. And I know I’m saying a lot of stuff here, but I just like telling people about the stuff I grew up as a kid. To which now that I’m older I realize that fairies and other magical creatures may not exist in real life, but they kept true to the plot, saying for you to not just believe specifically on fairies, but to believe that anything could be possible if you do believe in your heart. And I find that it’s a good message and it’s very freaking nostalgic. 11/10 For not just being a good Disney movie, but my favorite movie as a little kid. ❤️

Let me explain: it had great animation, the old characters grow believably, the new characters are better than the ones in some theatrical films, the action sequences, songs, villain and music are as awesome as it gets... And yet the story contradicts/retcons aspects of the first film.

@@the-nina-beans88 I was thinking the same thing. Even though Kovu and a couple of other characters that were also the descendants of Scar made a guest appearance in at least one episode, it still contradicts the events of the sequel. It seems like an alternate reality in which it takes place in the early part of The Lion King 2, but they've thrown in a little brother for Kiara and the concept of the Lion Guard. How is this going to explain to young children who only ever saw The Lion Guard, regardless of whether or not they actually saw the original film, about the absence of Kion, his friends, and the whole concept of the Lion Guard once they learn about the sequal and watch it themselves??
I'm not trying to bash the show as bad. I think it's cute from what I've seen, but it throws off the story line of the first two films a bit. It may be a show aimed at preschoolers and kindergarteners, but that doesn't excuse making changes to a story that were never present before just because they were too young to know or remember a movie that was released 16 or so years prior to the show's release.

Totally honest here.....I love ALL TINKERBELL films, like all of them, the quality, animation and characters of all are pretty good, only flaw probably is the music, but other than that, I really enjoy them.....pretty much if you like shows like MLP or Steven Universe, the Tinkerbell films fit pretty well in that target audience.

Aladdin and the King of Thieves tops my list. Aladdin has always been one of my favorite movies, so I have a bias, but even without that, I think most people can agree that King of Thieves is one of the better ones. Particularly the songs. I think "Out of Thin Air" is underrated, but justly so since the other songs in the movie are extremely enjoyable as well. It's got great lyrics, is sung beautifully, and has an amazing atmosphere despite it having a message I don't agree with.

As much as I completely hate Pocahontas 2 for tearing apart my favorite Disney couple and ruining the original’s ending, Where Do I Go is actually a really beautiful song similar to If I Never Knew You as its a sad love song about her having to let go of her love for John Smith, for good this time. As much as I completely hated she already knew (about his death) the part Nakoma is encouraging her to move on and let go of the past is literally the only scene that felt well written. It was cute but it was too similar to LM2 where the kid wants to be what the parent was. At least Angel had a decent backstory about almost giving up her dream of a forever home because of how many she’s had. Buster was unnecessary as Tramp’s old partner considering in the original it’s obvious Tramp was on his own, like why not introduce an old girlfriend considering Tramp was literally a ladykiller. Also where was Peg or his other friends?

The Jungle Book 2 was originally very different from what we got. Originally it was about Mowgli being homesick and wanting closure with his wolf family rather than wanting more of Baloo's carefree life, then learning to appreciate the village life. Shanti's character arc also included her conquering her fear of the jungle when looking for Mowgli. But all of that was before Disney decided to make it more familiar.
Still, I am glad that Mowgli got more character development (even though he basically learns the same lesson he learned in the first movie) and his relationship with Shanti and how they both influence each other was pretty heartwarming.

    • @kristinahuchison2511

I think I may be the only one who likes the sequels just as much or maybe sometimes more than the originals. I like seeing the characters relationships grow. I also like it when they have children in the sequel or focus on some of the minor characters. Which is probably why I love Cinderella 3 so much. But I guess that's just me.

    • @phantomstrider
      @phantomstrider  5 лет назад

I know what you mean. As much as I make fun of some of them, there's always been something really meaningful to me about seeing after their original story ends. Seeing how those characters mature and grow. Even if their new challenges are smaller, it's nice to see another slice of life of characters we're connected to.
