I had a 2011 Scion xB as used as my very first xB2.5 models. It use to be a taxi and it’s 175k miles and change the oil every 5k miles with no issues. Had it for 4 years, and in 2015, I figured it was the last year to end xB models. So I decided to get myself a brand new 2015 Scion xB as a fresh start. 8 years later I already finish paying my xB payment and it’s all mine. Now it’s got 82k+ miles with no issues.
I turn into a overland built lifted scion xB. Make it more useful xB. Never took off-road before or at all.
But I love this built. Change my oil always every 5k miles. Change my first ATF between 50k-60k. Change at 55k, using Toyota’s oem specifically made for my Toyota/Scion from Toyota dealer, Toyota’s ATF.
I change the spark plugs early at around 75k miles. Change my gas cap after 55k miles.
Got my full front and rear rotors and brake pads with ceramic. New hardwares change included.
And I put a front 3rd/4th gen rav4 suspension with 2” lift, and the rear is custom spacer about 2.5”. Rear shocks and rear springs are the original xB.
Of course I get the droops from the front and need new longer shocks or shock extended length.
Put a 3rd gen Toyota sienna bullguard with a led spot light bar, roof rails and roof rack installed.
I converted all my oem lights from oem incandescent bulbs and halogen headlight bulbs to led. I had sylvania silverstar ultra h11 low beams. And it was very impressive lighting output.
Had that for 5 months before led.
So now I run from lasfit, auxito, and sylvania zevo led bulb replacement. To see better, and be seeing better, so the drivers know where am I going. And my morimoto banger series off-road pods lights, haven’t hooked up yet but it will be soon.
And get my first drain and refil with brand new Toyota super long life 50/50 radiator pink coolant.
Make it more useful with aftermarket parts with oem quality parts and fluid to replace and refill.
Now this baby handles like a dream, despite how bad it is when it comes to goin through the potholes and train tracks, gives u a headache, and it’s also soft lol.
Once I get all the aftermarket suspension I need to replace and get some custom spacers and extensions to fix the geometry suspension, she’s gonna ride like brand new. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
    Hopefully. And new exhaust lol.

My 09 scion xb running great, 77225 miles. I replaced the alternator, and a hose that cracked and was giving a error code P0456. The tire sensors not working properly due to battery on the sensors running out I guess, too expensive to replaced with new tire sensors. Manual transmission.

Actually the problems with oil consumption is between 2008-2010. The 2011-2015 is more high chance of not getting an oil consumption. I don’t have that as I cha be every 5k miles.
If I have more money. I would love to own 3 2015 Scion xB models. One for lifted applications which I have it. One for lowered application, and one for stock form application with simple mods that doesn’t look like it ok appearance, and should of came as a factory and not optional.

@@oreally8605 warranty? Pay new car prices.. for a “warranty”? Its A TOYOTA. Cabs in my area with 350k miles. Running Strong. If you are Fickle, extra for a certified 2015 at a Toyota dealer. You’ll likely never “need” the warranty, but its there. It’s always an option to get a warranty on used older cars as well.. but I would not pay extra for it. But at 5k, if they covered it? It might be worth it. But you are right.. likely won’t have any warranty;) on private market you could get this easily for $4000 range.
