Wingin’ It! Paul Lucas may to help me So I may go to Los Angles soon from UK btw but I’m wondering does the delta 767 have ife (Stopping in salt lake btw )
I've flown Air Canada to Rome from DFW (Express on a E75 and a B777) I really like their economy product on both Regional and long haul, they really are brilliant and they do show that they care to every passenger.
@Wingin' It! Paul Lucas Hi Paul from Grimsby, Ontario Canada. I've been a subscriber to your RUclips channel for about a year now. I really enjoy watching your videos. I have 2 chronic lower back pain conditions, Lumbar Spinal Stenosis and Degenerative Disc Disease and Osteoarthritis in both of my knees and in my hips. I can't sleep most nights because of my chronic pain so I binge watch your videos. Binge watching your videos helps me get through the sleepless nights and helps me forget about my pain. Thank you for making your videos, I really appreciate it.
Just flew with Air Canada in economy and I was surprised by how polite their cabin crew was, as well as how good their food was (for economy, relatively speaking). If I ever get the chance later on to fly a route with them again, I might try out their business class, it looks really amazing
Had the pleasure to fly on AC about a month ago both Business and Economy class and both long haul and short haul. My aircrafts were 788‘s and 320‘s and I must say that those 4 flights were absolutely marvelous! Nothing negative to say about my flights on AC and I’m really looking forward to book another trip with them!
Another winner of a video, Paul. I've flown Air Canada several times on business class in recent years, to Hong Kong, Taipei and London, all in 787-9s and they've all been exactly as you described. Generally, Air Canada seems to be the airline that Canadians love to hate if you look at reader comment sections in the online press. But my experiences have largely been good, especially when there have been no hitches. A couple of times in the distant past, when I I've had problems with damaged luggage and cancelled flights, I've found Air Canada to be quite difficult to deal with. But, in recent years, I've had no issues and service has been superlative. Cathay Pacific are very keen competitors though, on trans=Pacific routes. I'm an ex-pat living in Vancouver for the last 40 odd years. If you have the time, look me up when you do your return trip to Frankfurt in October and I'd be happy to show you around this wonderful city. Cheers Paul!
I flew Air Canada on my first transatlantic flight to Europe on the way back to the States, and I loved them! F/As were great on both leg of my flights.
I agree with you regarding the zone/group check-in mentality of some airlines. I'm a regular traveller on BA and I know by having a cheaper fare, I'll be the last to board and have the greatest risk of not having any overhead luggage storage space. What ever happened to the good old days? - rear rows board first, forward rows board last. Another great video by the way.

@@deltastransportadventures4083 Actually they're very good. Good day Mr. Lucas. My name is Todd, and I'm writing from Prince Edward Island, Canada. I am watching this video again after having seen it about a year ago. You make me proud of our national carrier. Thank you.
EXCELLENT REVIEW, as always!!! I’m American and am completely in love with Air Canada, even though I’ve only flown economy. Their service is top notch and the crews I’ve been served by are always so polite and attentive, def one of my fave airlines along with Delta in the US.
Just flew that exact flight AC 841, 22nd May, in business seat 3A, exceptional flight, almost the same menu, food was exceptional, crew were slick and approachable, timing of meals was perfect to allow for sleep. So glad you found it fantastic, great report, took me back 6 weeks. Oh and fully agree on the AC lounge at FRA, was my first time visiting and was amazed!
This review was as perfect as the flight. It's truly a pleasure to watch your reviews. It actually makes my day a little better when I get an alert that you've posted something new. I've actually changed travel arrangements because of a business class product you reviewed and ended up saving 600.00 US in the process. So, thank you for that. Happy and safe travels!
Tricks like departing from certain airports (like Colombo or Tunis..new insight !) That is what we (also) want to learn about.. How does one find out about these special price turners ?

So glad you enjoyed the food on Air Canada. A very good friend of mine is the executive chef for the company that provides their meals (Gate Gourmet). He designs all of their menus and does the presentation to AC each year for the contract renewal etc. He’s a first rate chef!

As someone who flies both Star Alliance and SkyTeam I’m going to give AC a try sometime. In regards to the airplane food I’m one who thinks in the past 3-4 years all classes of flying has had tremendous improvements in the quality of food, but it’s my stance from flying United, Delta, British Airways, and Lufthansa. Just looking forward to flying United Polaris (Still BusinessFirst) to Tokyo in 2 weeks! Flown first quite a bit, but this will be my first international business class flight as it’s for a 36 day study trip!
I really don't understand why Canadians "HATE" on Air Canada Service. The FA's are really good and the service is excellent. My worst air travel ever was on a Air Canada Rouge flight from Athens to Toronto. The 767 was really old as are most Rouge planes and all luggage was not put on the flight, again its Air Canada using old aircraft on the Rouge system. The FA's know the drill and make the most of it even though the passengers blame them for some reason. Having flown numerous airlines the 2 that really stand out are Aegean and Air Canada. Kudos to Air Canada and their staff. I’ve been very fortunate to have flown First and Premium Economy between the US and the UK and a good experience really helps the time go by much quicker. Nice to see someone hitting the bullseye.
Air Canada is a flagship company. I have done several flights both within Canada and to/from Europe. Great aircrafts and lovely crews. I warmly recommend Air Canada to my colleagues. All the best from Greenland/Denmark.
I am sure that Air Canada is great in the front cabin, but you should try YOW to LHR in cattle class, The meal after take off is ok, but on descent into LHR you get a slice of banana bread and a beverage for breakfast, equipment on this route are aged 767's with cabin crew to match. I have flown this a few times over the years and always the same.
Great review Paul. I agree with you regarding Air Canada. I recently flew them YVR-LAX in their older A320 business class. Hard product needs an update but was still comfortable. Crew and service etc.....beyond great!
I'm flying Air Canada in July. Winnipeg to Toronto, Toronto to Frankfurt, Frankfurt to Vienna, and Vienna to Košice. And the Toronto to Frankfurt in business class. I am very excited!! This help with lots of tips
@@sergejkarl2149 No it isn't. It's just because that you are 35.000 feet above or more, it affects your taste buds. I've actually flown some airlines where I would gladly eat their food down on the ground.
Flew the 787-9 back from my honeymoon in Madrid with my wife a few weeks back. Even in economgy it was superb. Air Canada really is top notch. the seats even in economy were super comfy and I was able to get nearly 6 hours of sleep.
Hey Paul, just thought I'd share that this December, Air Canada will also be my first solo long-haul flight! I'm from the UK but studying in Winnipeg right now. My parents flew out with me initially so my return journey at Christmas via Toronto to LHR will be the first time I've flown long-haul by myself!
Happy you liked the flight, Paul. I've flown their 787-9 and 777 from CPH and FRA in business a few times, and have always been as positively surprised as you! Especially the food service is incredible compared to other carriers.
We board planes in Zones of up to 8 or 9 in the US because it spaces out the amount of people getting on the plane at any given time. It also gives the First/Business class cabin crew time to pass out the pre-flight drinks.
Another great, honest review. Recently flew from my native UK via Doha in a Q suite to Auckland. Service, dining and comfort is amazing and by far the best Business product I’ve encountered thus far.
We fly Air Canada yearly, Newark to Calgary. I’ve never had a bad experience. I have flown business class, but on much smaller planes,(it’s approximately a 5 hour flight). I’ve never had the full experience you had, but still enjoyed it. Air Canada and Alaska crews are great!
I flew the Air Canada Dreamliner in economy from YYZ to LHR and I was very impressed with their leg room which wasn’t the case on their 777-300. The latter was very cramped up for a tall person like me. Nice video on the whole. 👍🏻
A couple of years ago I flew business class on an Air Canada 787 between Toronto and Los Angeles, and it was a wonderful experience. It made me wish the flight was longer.
So funny, I have flown this exact route in business class last summer! It was my first time in business and I was spoiled! Amazing product and great airline!
Great vid as usual 👌🏼 just to answer question on washroom window blind. If you’re using bathroom on ground when loading personnel are present on highloaders just by hold doors , use the blind to shield your modesty from voyeuristic ramp staff 👍 Or if mirrored on opposite side , the jetbridge end encompasses that toilet window too, again perfect view for queuing/boarding passengers of your ablutions taking place without a blind in down position 😖
That is fun to see the remote airport out the window. And usually airplane food looks a *lot* better on the printed menu than in person, but I think you're right, that all looks very nice as served in reality too!
Great trip report Paul, and from all accounts Air Canada delivered the goods. Amazing difference in the price of the fare by beginning the flight from Tunis rather than Frankfurt.
When you were in the restroom and said "I've just had an absolutely superb...…" I was thinking you were going to finish that with something completely inappropriate. LOL Great job as always.
From a retired ground staff - the reasoning behind boarding groups is that it's speeds up the boarding, if you board the back of the plane first. Time is money
Isn’t the bathroom manual window shade on the 787 helpful when you are on the ground? There may be people walking by and peering in if using the facilities before takeoff.
I think Air Canada is under rated. I have always had positive experiences with them in both economy and business class. I will often use them for trips to the US too. Paul, loving your channel. Thanks for the wonderful content.
Thought you and your readers might find this amusing. I live in Sydney but originally from Sth Wales. Recently my 93 yo mother wanted to come out to see her Oz family and particularly Great Grandchildren. We realised she could fly on Qatar Cardiff - Doha -Syd easily, as CWL is only 10 mins from her home. Got my sister in Wales to arrange flight, and as Mum hadn’t flown for well over 30 years and ‘getting on a bit’ we flew her Business Class. When my sister sent me the flight details, I noticed Mum had requested vegetarian meals. This was a surprise to me as I never knew she was a veggie! I rang her, and asked why she had requested this. “Well, when I use to fly with your father, he always said it was a good idea to request vegetarian, as then you got served first! “ Nevertheless, she had a great trip, and even indulged in non-veg food.
Paul, another great trip review. I love them all. I checked, and this flight would cost me 4,900 USD which is a considerable sum. The wifi was an additional $30? how is this not provided to business class passengers? Seems petty to me, no?
Perhaps, but it's hardly Air Canada's fault. It seems that much of the airline industry worldwide tacks on WiFi as extra, even on top of business class tickets.
I am absolutely terrified of flying and never intend to do it again. My only two flying experiences were aboard US Navy DC-9 aircraft and there were ZERO frills and plenty of turbulence. But I watch your videos anyway because they're just so enjoyable! Keep up the good work!
Paul, as an American I speak only for half of us: we UNDERSTAND boarding zones; we CHOOSE to ignore them. Everything we have is oversized. It’s a huge pain to board later and not find room for your overhead; at least that used to be my excuse. If the flight attendant let’s you on before your zone then we didn’t do anything wrong, lol. We’re just impatient.
Ads a Canadian I'm glad you enjoyed your AC journey. I did a pile of flying from the 1980s to the early 21st century - mainly for business - so a mix of economy and business. Started out on CP Air which was regrettably assumed by AC. At one time I was an "Elite" AC frequent flyer. Over the past decade and a half lots of personal travel so economy. Our experience of AC, in the latter phase, has been rarely good and mostly mediocre or poor. The last trip, FRA-YYZ, in 2019-12 was rotten - an old 777 which was cramped, poor service, and really bed meals. It didn't help my daughter had just got off SQ! Thanks for the good RUclipss which I'm mostly interested in trains - favourites BTW are the Amtraks west of Chicago and the Indian-Pacific and Ghan. Stay well.
Thanks for the great video. I'm just thinking how much your narration has improved over time. All your videos have improved tremendously. Air Canada looks like it has an outstanding business class.
Paul, I see you flew on flight AC841. The first time I flew to Canada in 1992 was with Air Canada on a 747-100 from Glasgow to Toronto and return. The outbound service from Glasgow was AC842, however the return from Toronto was this flight number, AC841!!!!
Difference between international Business and Economy class: Returning from Amsterdam to Toronto on an Air Canada 787, myself and two seatmates asked for drinks and were told by the flight attendant to meet her at the rear galley. Where we stood, watched, and waited 15 minutes for her and her colleagues to finish their meals before they served us. The next few times we tried to use the 'call' button, they simply turned it off and never showed up.
I always say no matter how bad the actual lounge may be...if it has a view of the runways etc it more than makes up for it !! Mind you this lounge looked pretty darn good! I agree re the boarding process....Business Class to the left... Economy to the right. Probably some marketing guru was paid a lot of money to come up with this stupid concept but it happens with so many carriers!! Hopefully you started the flight with a sparkling wine which came from France ? The cocktail sounded like something NASA would use to launch a shuttle !!! Great stuff again Paul ! Flight and food looked great ! Well done mate!
I hate the zone boarding too. It used to not be that way but airlines find ways to get people to join clubs/groups to obtain certain levels of boarding. Insane I know but that's what it is I'm afraid.
An Air Canada Express flight from LaGuardia to Montreal would be interesting to do. Or Porter to Billy Bishop to experience what Toronto’s other airport is like
Excellent report! Air Canada is a good Business product. Unfortunately onboard service in Air Canada's economy is poor and not at par with other airlines of similar stature. Especially on transatlantic routes.
Trevor Gordon one can never expect gourmet meals from catering companies putting out thousands of meals per day, and them being kept warm for hours, come on, be realistic.
Yes, you should come to Montreal. Our airport is not the greatest but it is a nice city. And, when the pandemic is over, you could fly Montreal to Toronto via Porter or take the train to Toronto with ViaRail (or to New York with Amtrak)
rulinghabs not for very long! Once Onex has taken over, WS will become nothing but a cash cow for them... I expect to see WS lose a lot a things that made them so popular.
Had my first Business Class flight on AC two months ago and I was thoroughly impressed. Arrived 12 hours later at our destination feeling completely refreshed after all the rest/sleep I was able to get. Food/drinks were amazing also.👍🇨🇦✈
18 and my first flight was on the new AC Jumbo jet to Heathrow. As I stepped outside the Heathrow exit, 2 CID agents took me by my arms and guided me up a ramp into the back of a big black van sitting just outside the exit. They closed the doors with me inside.
Hey Paul Lucas, this is an awesome review of AC Buisness. My dad is actually an AC pilot and flys the a320 family and the b787. Hope you enjoy your time in Toronto. I live right of the water of Billy Bishop.
i never quite understood taking a shower at the airport I had the amazing opportunity to work for Air Canada in there Call centre in Montreal loved every minute of it !
Another great video! How was your transfer between your Tunisian flight and the one to Vancouver? I've had to transfer through Frankfurt before and I hated it. FRA is a much nicer experience if you are flying in/out of it.
Yaroslav Bolotov Frankfurt is awful to transit through because you need to re clear security. If you have several hours to kill though, then it becomes a lot more tolerable.

@@sergejkarl2149 No it isn't. It's just because that you are 35.000 feet above or more, it affects your taste buds. I've actually flown some airlines where I would gladly eat their food down on the ground.
DLH-A340 It doesn’t affect your eyesight though....have you seen some of the food served on flights
Keith Livingstone in my opinion, most of the time airline food looks like it tastes awful but actually tastes pretty good.
Perfect report Paul, I'd love to fly Air canada but don't really have the money at the moment anyways this report is good enough!
At 9:25, Paul is feeling the effects of that "Signature Drink" with no name! LOL
You always do a spectacular job of breaking this all down, even for a very infrequent flyer like myself. Your channel is top notch in my book.
That is fun to see the remote airport out the window. And usually airplane food looks a *lot* better on the printed menu than in person, but I think you're right, that all looks very nice as served in reality too!
Got a smile on my face when I got the notification that you had posted! Great work
Great trip report Paul, and from all accounts Air Canada delivered the goods.
Maybe Air Canada is FINALLY upping its inflight service game. About bloody time.
You're getting so much better at filming and editing pre-takeoff montages, this one was a joy to watch!
These videos are perfect for the ones, like me, who can’t afford do them but love flying....it saves us a fortune! 😊
Great video Paul, cheers 👍🏼😉
Cool! I was on this exact same flight 11 days later, sadly only in Economy... would have loved to experience it in Business. :D
We are new to your channel but your videos are truly amazing and so incredibly helpful. We are hooked and looking forward to all your new episodes.
Great video! Air Canadas 787 looks like a really solid product, would like to try it once myself.
I just heard of your channel a few days ago and now I've been bingeing your channel! 😂
I hate the zone boarding too. It used to not be that way but airlines find ways to get people to join clubs/groups to obtain certain levels of boarding. Insane I know but that's what it is I'm afraid.
Hi Paul great video my dad flew air canada from Toronto to Frankfurt
An Air Canada Express flight from LaGuardia to Montreal would be interesting to do. Or Porter to Billy Bishop to experience what Toronto’s other airport is like
man you're the best trip reporter that i've ever seen keep up the good work and be safe
Excellent report! Air Canada is a good Business product. Unfortunately onboard service in Air Canada's economy is poor and not at par with other airlines of similar stature. Especially on transatlantic routes.
Any thoughts on the ease of transiting through Tunis? I'm doing the same at the end of the year to take advantage of the cheaper fares.
I have to imagine the blind on the restroom window is for using it when you're on the ground.
Super happy to hear you love the airline I work for! Hope to see you on board again soon!
#FlyTheFlag
The once-green beans with that beef look like tinned ones that had been gently boiled for 4 days. Then left in the sun for a day before re-heating.
@Joshua Gill I'd suggest that excellent though our Paul is, he's not quite the judge of gourmet standards LOL!
Trevor Gordon one can never expect gourmet meals from catering companies putting out thousands of meals per day, and them being kept warm for hours, come on, be realistic.
Agree, Air Canada Signature Business Class service is great...I'll be enjoying it quite a few times this year.
I’m going to Montreal on the 22ND July to see my auntie! We are going from Heathrow Airport to YUL (Int airport.) so excited to go!
Yes, you should come to Montreal. Our airport is not the greatest but it is a nice city. And, when the pandemic is over, you could fly Montreal to Toronto via Porter or take the train to Toronto with ViaRail (or to New York with Amtrak)
You are the first time taking air Canada 🇨🇦
Bon voyage !!!
I'm so proud of my favourite airlines & I'm glad you enjoyed them! I'm a Calgarian (born & raised in Calgary) I will only ever fly with them!
Cat Woman why. West jet is a great airline.
@@rulinghabs Lol it's alright. Air Canada first always!
Cat Woman but West Jet is based in Calgary!!!!
rulinghabs not for very long!
Love your videos! You haven’t been served by my daughter she’s a flight attendant (16) years on American Airlines
Connect always through Amsterdam or London-Heathrow ;-) the rest are crap. Worst by far is Paris-CDG
Love it! I’ll be in biz on AC’s 789 from ICN-YYZ in a few months, and after watching your video, I’m really looking forward to it.
Is there anything out there to help find those cheaper business tickets like you mention at 1:00?
Great to hear. I'm looking to go back to Europe next fall. Air Canada 787 business is now on my list.
