Have a great Christmas everyone! I've been travelling Australia and beyond for the last few weeks which is why I've been quiet on here. Catch me every day on Instagram and Twitter! Handle: Paul_winginit on both!
SO MANY amazing videos to come on this channel - thanks for tuning in and see you more in 2020 with some really ambitious plans... :-)
16th!
Merry Christmas, Paul!
HAPPY Christmas 🥂
is there a Version of curve for the US?
Wingin’ It! Paul Lucas hey man. Great video. What was wrong with the model A380? I could not spot it.
Paul: in 2020 I will fly with them a lot more
Corona: I don’t think so
Hi Paul! I’m BA Cabin crew and I enjoyed this video. The 350 is certainly different to the 747!
Kirsty Rowlands Hi Kirsty. It certainly is. Though I will really miss the 747 when it goes from the BA fleet
Jay Deshpande hi Jay! Me too, the 747 is really loved by all the BA crew that are licensed to fly on it, I’m very lucky to say the least! I live near St Athan, South Wales so I sadly see them being scrapped too.
I heard cabin crews dislike the a350 for lack of space is that true?
Your content has reached a consistently high standard congratulations Paul. But how the hell do you keep the pounds off with all that airport lounge and aircraft food?
Peter Lemke I don’t 😂
@@Paul_Lucas A big thanks also for your last VPN offer which l took up. Great value for the $.
You also once mentioned a trio of refreshments served on a later flight that “saved you from having to eat dinner” when you arrived home... which I’ve never said and pretty damn sure I never will as I like food too much! Also, I’ve no-to-low self restraint. 😔😂
2:15 the BA logo is above the upper deck windows.
ARC Aviation is that good or bad ?
Ian McGreevy well I am not sure but it does not look realistic.
@DeeJay1210 Relax
And also, there is an extra upper deck window!
@@Chicken_3475 you’re right! It should have 10 windows in front of the door which are visible, and one which is paint d over (the window closest to the door)
Thank you Paul. I love your reviews because you actually speak eloquintly about ALL aspects of travel. So refreshing and enjoyable, i sometimes feel like i'm right there with you!!!
The Red of the Livery goes through the top windows but not on the model and their is spaces at the front windows for First class are spaced 2 space 2 space unlike the model.
I noticed too
Plus theres a great damn stick coming out the bottom of it that I don't remember seeing on the real one.
lmao there’s gonna be some whooshes
Oh good, I wasn't the only one who noticed two differences! That's what I thought as well.
Dude it's so awesome to see how far you and the channel have come
Your reviews are fantastic. And incredibly respectful. No profanity. A joy to watch with family... Well done and keep up the good work....
Love your trip reports man , its just so fun to watch . Keep up the good work man!
Awesome! I booked myself on an A350 in Business just a couple hours ago and now this has now come up! What a nice coincidence. I'll be reviewing it too. Can't wait!
Very detailed video. I like your explanations and the visuals. I’m glad the crew was helpful.
“I’ll be flying them more next year.”
2020: “You thought?”
Love ya Paul!
I love seeing this plane fly over my house on approach to YYZ I see it at about 7000-15000 feet and it’s one of the largest planes I see fly over including the KLM and Lufthansa 747-400
Same I love watching them approach yyz
Been waiting awhile for you to post a new review, and this one didn’t disappoint. Well done and Merry Christmas Paul!
Nice job ... I do love BA .. had the great luck of flying in “ R” class 4 times - fast - tiny - but comfy seats - drop down arm rest & I never had a seat mate - with 30 to 60 ppl on board.
Thx for updating - since I don’t travel as I did & havnt been in club since 2009 ... !
Ein frohes Fest. As always a good video Paul!
Your quick shot of the old BOAC livery blew my mind. As an 18-year old Yank exchange student, I flew Boston-Glasgow-Manchester on a BOAC VC10! During the descent into Manchester, I spotted a large stark-looking Victorian style building that to me looked like a Bedlam. A few hours later, I discovered that the place was my new school. The year I spent at that "Bedlam" turned out to be one of the most important and positive ones in my life. One mate I met there was my best man at our wedding in Honolulu, and he even returned to help us celebrate our 40th anniversary! Over the years, your videos have become exceptionally professional and sophisticated. Well done. Aloha from Hawai'i.
Thank god for that staff walkway! I almost missed a recent flight in terminal five but missed the train. Thanks for that tip!
Enjoyable and informative video Paul... great work. Looking forward to the new club suite when I fly it in July.
I heard a couple of days ago that British Airways will now be doing flights from Portland, OR to London starting in June 2020.
Delta is already flying to London from Portland Oregon.
@@Ahuntsicspotter Well, OP is saying BA will start competing with Delta on that route, which is true.
www.britishairways.com/en-us/destinations/portland/flights-to-portland
Félix Maltchinski want to compete one world vs sky team
Delta also flies nonstop from Portland to Amsterdam.
That wing view at 16:34 was beautiful! Cheers Paul
@James Murphy hi mate
Paul Stewart Can’t beat an A350 wingtip!
This is another impeccable video & this business club seat is a vast improvement to their old club world outfit. British Airways new business club seats are a breath of fresh air & long may it continue !
Thanks for another great, informative video Paul! Happy Christmas!
The crew gave you a tour?? Methinks you've officially made it, mate. :D
Have a happy Christmas and a happy and Prosperous new year Paul!
Good video as always! Merry Christmas and have a great new year!
"This famous statue of a horse....with a lamp on his head." That made me chuckle. lol
I have to point out, G-BYGC (BOAC) and G-BNLY (Landor) really are stunning, I am to young to remember the BOAC aircraft, though I did fly on a BOAC VC-10 as a small child and to stupid to appreciate the Landor scheme, but they both look stunning on the 744's.
Great video! I enjoyed your sneaky note at 4:09 :)
I wish to wish you a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year. Thanks for the Great Videos and keep up the great work….Cheers and Best Wishes from Canada
Awesome video Paul!! I’m looking forward to flying BA someday.
Hi Paul such another great video. Keep them going!!
Superb video as always Paul - looking forward to what 2020 produces on this channel 👍
Happy Christmas 🎄
Nice touch crew showing you around great video
Hi Paul , always nice footage. Watching from Indonesia
Paul, great video again! Thank you so much! I have seen all the BA A350-1000 videos from, what I call, the holy trinity of Aviation bloggers...yourself, Sam Chui and Noel Philips. All great reviews but I really felt yours gave a very balanced and factual view of the product from BA which is important as it allows the viewer to make their own decision. My impression (looking at the seat maps of BAs fleet and the words from their CEO) is that they are hoping the A350-1000 will be a high capacity work horse for them on routes where there is high demand for lower priced fares...having flown to Chennai and Bangalore (one of BAs A350 routes) on BA myself [the first time I flew to Chennai was on their old 747-200s!], I can see why [the customers for BA in those two areas really very rarely can afford to fly regularly in BAs first class]. Whilst I love your reviews, I do wish you had posted this video much closer to the time you flew. I do understand you are a busy man but things like service issues you spoke about in your video could well be seen as incorrect by someone who saw your review today and decided to fly tomorrow (thinking you had flown more recently). That's the only piece of negative feedback I have ever thought of your videos. I hope in future you are able to post your videos sooner after flying...if not please do try and explain in your videos (not just in the written description) that you had flown much earlier. Anyway, thank you so very much for the videos you produce...sadly I have been unwell and subsequently unemployed therefore not able to travel. Your videos are a great way to help me feel like I am able to travel because my favourite part of travel is an airline journey!
I'm watching these videos to pretend I could afford any of this hahaha!
There's nothing like brand spanking new equipment.
Thanks for the upload.
A simple question paul. Where do you find the music in your videos? I always get a nostalgic good feeling when listening to it in the background
Stluffy A range of sources, mostly no copyright music channels on RUclips and Epidemic Sound
Howdy, awesome trip report as always!😻😻😸
Easily the best reviewer. Polite and not a spoilt brat which the vast majority of reviewers come across as. Extremely refreshing.
8:36 Love the A350 wingtips...
I love it if you land 27L or 27R at LHR since at good weather you've a wonderful view over London.
Last time when I flew to London with BA I flew to LCY and back from LHR at Club Europe.
Love that BOAC 747 livery...very stylish.
I hope I’m not the only one that will miss BA’a signature aircraft, the 747, at Heathrow. That’s how my love for flying started. Seeing BA 747s outside the Terminal 4(previous BA Terminal) windows. Will be very difficult for me to say goodbye.
"Personal taste... I prefer virgins" @12:17
Thanks for the time stamp @Brenig102
There’s always a little Easter Egg like this in every video. :-)
The tiny dessert was the highlight of this video lol
Very detailed video. Nice.
This advice about the air passenger duty has saved me a small fortune. The price from Lhr to Tlv is significantly more expensive than the inv Lhr Tlv fare. £300 each on a business return making it the same price as a PE return from LHr, less the hassle lol. So looking forward to our 2 trips in Business. I loveBA and had outstanding service from their ground staff in the uk but the service in TLV was absolutely incredible and personal. Thanks for the review and the INV info.
Great review
Presumably the weird indent in the mattress, was to accommodate the over-shoulder belt.
Great music choice in this video!
The Derry girls bit was hilarious 😂 loved the video
wandering audio the exception to a great video, thanks! :D
Great video Paul, cheers.
As your up to date with aircraft, what benefit is having 2 winglets on the wings??…I know one helps to stop vortices but why 2?? I’ve notice a few craft have them now..1 up and 1 down..
Loving the Northern Irish accent Paul! Full of surprises mate!
A350 experience seems nice. Flying in World Traveler Plus on the A350 from Austin in the summer. But, nothing beats the upper deck of the 747 for me. I still and will always love the Queen of the Skies
I got my A350 experience with Singapore Airlines between Wellington and Melbourne in premium economy and business class in February 2020.
Hello There good to see you back, a lovely perspective and great narration/commentary throughout, overall a fantastic review. P.S. good to see the future comparisons that you are planning on doing. Cheers Peter Mc 🙂
P.S. It also looks very classy and well presented, throughout. Cheers Peter
Some great panoramic view shots of the other aircraft, including the legendary Boeing 747-400, which I have flown on once. Cheers Peter
It looks as though Virgin, are finally upping their game, they have still got a way to go, but they are getting there, good to see that they are investing in all the main classes. Cheers Peter Mc 🙂
It's a beautiful Jet and a great perspective. Cheers Peter Mc 🙂
13:37 Jesus, that's quite an irish accent! 😂
Go to Derry and tell people that.
@Nathan triggered
hmmmm what is this Londonderry you speak of
Love -4!!
That startup sound though!!!!
0:53 it's Alan Myatt, Gloucester's Town Crier!
Thanks for the tip about using level -4,. Paul. I'll bear that in mind next time which I hope won't be in the too distant future.
Have you flown on any of the retro livery aircraft?
I've had the BEA A319 and the Negus 747 completely by chance
Btw on night flights the doors are used a lot more.
Looks like an improvement on the old business class. 😎
Another great video Paul, how much was the ticket for this flight ?
Cool A350. Can't wait to get on one!
- Red
I feel the suite door will be a bonus when you are trying to get some sleep on a red eye flight. I find crew and other pax wandering up and down the aisle disturbs me and the door will provide a bit of a barrier.
Paul. Do you know the number of the 2 seats on the left before you entered the premium economy cabin? They have extra legroom but also no door!
Amazing
You went to New Zealand? I hope you tried our local airline :-), haven't seen it yet.
Doctor: Lamp horse isn’t real, it can’t hurt you
Lamp horse:
Great views of London from Inverness !! Re the 380 model...the nose is different ? Were your nuts warm ?? Pretty solid flight Paul !! They seem to be trying hard at least ! Great video as always mate and I look forward to your next adventure !!
Nice quick takeoff roll! Was the plane more or less empty?
The wrong thing on the model A380 was that it had 1 more extra window on the top. It has 5, is supposed to have 4. And the red thing is not going over the window but above it.
The crest ‘To Fly To Serve’ is missing .... it’s very difficult to compare BA Club with Virgin A’s Upper Class, Virgin do not have a ‘First’ product so combine first/Business together to come up with Upper Class, plus they have a funky image which is good, BA having a true ‘First’ product need to differentiate the business product so I find difficult to compare, personally I have always found the BA service excellent and Crew attentive, compared to Virgin so is my personal airline of choice,
Hi, Paul- I’m travelling on a 747 in club world to JFK in June next year and coming back to LHR on a 777 also in Club- How can I tell if the return flight is in the club suites? I’m aware that I could fly American too, but after these two flights I’ll be Silver status with BA
Great video as always Paul ... BUT ... cream before jam on the scone!!! You will be drummed out of Cornwall if you ever visit again 🤭
OMG 2:39 Someone put the handle of the spoon on the fruit (Orange?)
Interesting review. I’d like to see a like for like comparison of US airlines, Middle Eastern, Asian and European airlines business class suites or products on the A350-1000...
Oh man, those shower suites are luxury compared to the old days. It used to be the only place you could get showered at Heathrow was a converted janitors closet. Of course few people knew about it, so making reservations weren’t an issue.
Great video Paul. I’m flying to London in February & really looking forward to flying on the A350. Z
Sorry for the z at the end of the comment. Anyway I’m flying economy & sitting at the very back of the aircraft but still looking forward to the flight thanks to your video👍👍
Steve Masters good luck
From wher?
Anime Is LIFE!!! Toronto YYZ
Steve Masters nice
While the door, much like that on Delta’s flight from Sydney to New York is flimsy, it does offer more of a sense of privacy while sleeping.
Pauls is my fave reviewer as he likes travelling and seems like one of us. Some other reviewers seem like rich guys reviewing stuff to pass the time and I get irritated by moans about 'the first class bed not being quite wide enough' when most people will never get near business never mind First. Paul seems to enjoy the lot, whatever the seat.
If you’re paying that much, you’re well within your rights to complain about anything wrong
@@kenetickups6146 but there is also the right to choose the method/tone - some comedians can make a two hour special out of complaints, but some reviewers cant be stood for five minutes. you ever worked in customer service? those complain about anything for i have rights types get free spit sauce and nothing more :)
Most of these travel vlogs are sponsored.
Welcome to Canada more specifically Toronto Pearson International Airport. You will be docking at Terminal 3. Once you clear toms and collect you're baggage oh can head to the terminal link and board the UP Express to Downtown Toronto Union Station. Or feel free to use the TTC to save money. For only $3.25 you can travel anywhere in the city.
That popular design of reverse herring bone seat. I've always wondered why they don't do it as herring bone. That way the passenger would be next to the window, and further from the Isle for more privacy. Just remove the plastic shroud from the seat and there'd be nothing obstructing the window. The storage compartment would be between the passenger and the isle, giving privacy without the need for the gimmicky door that BA introduced.
The BA A380 Speedbird Logo, Speedmarque, is sitting too high. The red part should be level with the top deck windows, not above.
I missed the flight summary and cost information which I normally find helpful
Certainly a step up from the old "new" CW seat, the food also looks better, though I have to say, unless you don't like curries, ALWAYS go for the curry option on BA or VS over anything else, it is something they always do right. I'm not sure if this is one of the Do&Co routes, but their food is always great, so with the small errors I am guessing not ???? The problems with BA have never been related to the crews, it's the management team. I have no status with BA or OW and unfortunately I was put in a position where I had to book them to get 9 of us to the UK, in J and sadly VS didn't have enough seats, so after dropping close to $40k it did stick in the throat somewhat to be asked to pay for seat assignments, until I pointed out that there were 9 of us so it is free per the BA website.
I’ll be taking this flight in a few weeks, can’t wait! It’s my first A350 experience as well
Won’t ever go on a plane but love the vids
Would you review Bennie Hill Airlines first and economy class?
Interesting to sea the harness seat belt - this gives a 3 point system over the 2 point lap seat belt .
Holy volume levels, Batman!
@2:20 The red ribbon should be at the top deck windows, also the windows does not match the real a380.
I understand that BAs American partner AA installed a standard version of that seat in their 787-9s and some 777-200s
It would be nice if you mention the engines and how noisy they for the passenger.
I can tell you've got family in Ulster! That was a pretty good accent - my maternal grans side are from Ballymena so I know the accent well myself :P
You'd be Ulster Scots then as a lot of folk in that area speak with a Scottish accent as I'm sure you know!
