I was aware of pass through insurance but to be completely honest, I didn't understand it enough to mention it. I did think that it was only insured for a time though, and not in the account. I may have to look into it further. Thanks for explaining!

I guess the funds now are FDIC insured if you have the debit card, and the partner banks are now Wells Fargo and Sutton Bank.
