Growing up my parents always told us to stay away from credit cards because it was bad for you, but never explained why. When i turned 21 i got my own credit card. Still parents kept saying it was bad. I was able to learn more about credit cards and used it tto my benefit. My parents till this day still believe credit cards are bad. Me on the other hand 10 years later im credit card churning and looking for the next best card to get.
has credit made your life better or your financial situation easier to manage?
@@yakubpk3483I got one a bit ago and I only got free money out of it and started building my credit score early, just don’t spend what you don’t have and you’ll be good
@@yakubpk3483 Probably both on little level.
@@yakubpk3483just makes it so you can finance things. In all reality you don’t absolutely need a credit card but it’s an easy way to build your credit score cause you will eventually need a loan for things such as a house
@@yakubpk3483It should if you use credit correctly. It’ll open you up to a higher credit limit and eventually lower interest rates on loans (including a mortgage).
Bro literally turned his pain into his gain.
“No pain no gain,” I guess.
Brian, I appreciate you man. I've commented before on your videos as well, but after discovering your videos about 8-ish? months ago, I started my journey of credit card churning and was able to rack up a rather significant amount of money as a result. As a 19 year old in college, I was finding some ways that I could earn money, and utilizing credit cards was one of the bigger parts of my success. Thanks to you, I've been able to gather around $10k in credit card bonuses while still maintaining a mid 700 credit score, no late payments, and a 2% utilization rate. My dream car is the Huracan, and I'm on track to getting it in about 5ish years. Hopefully I can come back in 5 years and proudly say that I obtained that goal.
Much love,
Daniel
I love this. You can do it- the huracan is a great car
@@JungernautJung bro 😎 what best card! Jung card!
If you’re just starting out like 18 or early 20s i don’t recommend a secured card. Discover or Capital One will likely give you a normal card, plus they have pre-approval tools so there’s no risk. Also if you’ve had a long relationship with a bank they may give you a credit card pretty easily too.
Capital One's a bit stingy
How about a credit union secured card
@@jonhoffman10000 I'm 24 but got my first card in may, got the Savor One in July and the Venture X last week
So what do i get then?
man, i wish i had access to videos like this when i was graduating high school; no one ever tells you how important gaining a credit score is
Bro is the most hated person by banks fr😂
So important to get a good foundation of knowledge while you’re young to build up credit as early as possible!
YES KING 🤴 👑 WILL DO!! indeed obviously most important when you’re young! Because we will remember for the rest of our lives to gain money amen!

How does this change for people who just joined the military? There are so many unique considerations and there’s not much good information out there unless you do it yourself. For example you always assume that amex platinum has a very high annual fee but for military members there is no fee, not to mention that there are a bunch of credit cards from navy federal credit union, penfed, and USAA that are only available to military members.
No point in really adding military cards here if the average person isn't in the military. Better to search for a video specially tailored towards those in military.
@@dms2331more like the average male. Which applies in south Korea and North Korea for “average” males. Whom serve in the military like what? 80% or something yup

How about a video on making money outside of a job.
Works in every bank sistem even in other countries
Youre amazing brian your parents raised an amazing person ❤
How long should i wait before applying for a second card if i was just approved for my first card today? I’m not sure if it would be better to have two cards immediately to build credit or wait a while
usually its best to wait a year inbetween credit cards!
It’s so funny my parents were the complete opposite the always told be to open up a credit card and finally at 19 I did after their years of begging
thanks
I got my first credit card is the capital one silver one
700+ GANG !
Do you need business credit for amex if you recently just got the gold card im looking to get the amex business plus in the coming months got a good credit score
Nice
Do you recommend closing credit cards after you use the sign rewards and no longer need the card?
Never close a card unless absolutely necessary
I wouldnt close any unless there was an annual fee. And in those cases you can downgrade the card. The ideal is that you keep them open to gain Longevity, availble credit. Closing the card decreases your credit score as well. Just use it sparingly once a month and it will be fine.
literally in debt as i watch this
Im 20 i want an credit card which one i should grab??
I’m 18 and I Just got my first credit card today, it is the reflect card. Am I able to get the freedom flex card at chase also, without any mishaps?

What are the good credit cards in Canada
what would be an optimal strategy for someone who started with a quicksilver?
You can still follow my optimal sequence I mentioned in this video even with a quicksilver
as an 18 year old, do you have to show a income to banks when applying for first credit card???
Yes
Brian is so handsome
Credit cards are simultaneously the best thing for our economy, and the worst
I am 18 years old and looking for recommendations on the most secure bank to get a credit card.
Wait 2-3 months
Does this also work in the EU?
I'm your opposite, I don't own one credit card.
I personally don’t think I need14/15 credit cards as a beginner. I really just need to find a way to grow/build one
Brian not sure you’ll see this but I’ve had the flex car from chase for about 3/4 months now. My score is 710 at 19. Should I apply for the unlimited freedom next? I’d like to hear your thoughts.
No
But you're winning in life

what should be taught in school:
What about discover student cards it that one a good choice
Yes, a great starter card.
sure it was the card and not the 1.46 MILLION subs channel, of course.
What if I never eat out, don't care about traveling, have 800 credit score, 3k in cash, and am only 15 yrs old. What is the best card to get then? I have very low impulses to buy random stuff.
I was put in as an authorized user, applied for the savor one been using it for 2-3 months. if i remove myself as an auth user, will my credit history be wiped off my report? only reason i am thinking of removing myself is because the card I am an auth user on has 89% usage and has carried a balance
good 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Hi, love your videos, but as a european I cannot apply for any of the cards you mention.. Could you make a video on how to start your credit card journey as a European?
Well, you pretty much can't. There's a cap on credit card fees in the EU, and as such the benefits on credit cards here are pretty much non-existent.
@@carsandtools Fantastic to hear that as a European teenager. It looks like my life won't be easy here. At least there are no school shootings...

Yes ! (I made that mistake already)
@@deeurb916 I see
If I don’t use the credit card for a few months, will the issuer close the card???
Usually if you use the card atleast once a year you’re safe but maybe use it once every few months
Don’t you need to wait a year of credit for Chase cards to be approvals? I already have a discover it.
is the discover card good and if so what kind? 18 y/o i make good money but do not have a co signer
@huntertara6968 You can get a Discover student card. If you aren't a student, you can get a secured card from Discover. Either one is a great starter card.
@@huntertara6968it’s great. They have basic rotating categories offering 5% cashback but for the first year, they double and you can claim 10% if you redeem it after one year of getting the card
Chase has the Freedom Rise for those without a year of credit history. All you need is at least $250 or more in a chase checking account and you are likely to be approved.
Can you do this online or do you have to go to the bank ? How did u ?
You should go to the bank in person and ask to see a card provider and ask them all your questions. Hope this reply wasn't too late

Congress is trying to pass a law that eliminates all credit card points
Got declined for a secured card because im not a college student…ridiculous

17 yrold here, Should you cancel the freedom flex beginner card when you upgrade to sapphire preferred it says after 15 months the flex has a APR?
I’m 17 too but I don’t think you’re supposed to cancel a card unless it’s critically necessary
If i have a chase savings account will I have a better chance of being accepted for one of their cards when I turn 18?
Possibly, also open a checking account when you turn 18

Because im not 18, do i have to apply for a secured credit card? Or can i get a regular credit card
I think You have to be 18 y or older to get credit card secured or unsecured.
Some banks will let you be an authorized user to your parents. So it’ll build your credit. But to have your own you need to be 18
The best a parent can also do I put his or her child as an authorized user but don’t give kid the card to use. This will still help to make good credit

only in debt if you use the card
