Commen sense would be to take away guns from from someone who suffers depression so they wont hurt themselves, that shouldve been done to start with. They had his guns in their gun safe but failed to keep away the two sets of keys. We know happens next. Btw all this was premeditated, he knew what he was doing and wanted to do.

Of course they are not always to blame for "bad parenting", mental illnesses are still extremely stigmatized, a large amount of people isn't really familiar with metacognition and psychology, let alone its importance, especially in terms of prevention (therefore no real societal focus on mental health education).

Queen Shakur Agreed, mental illness isn’t physical, but that doesn’t hide the fact it’s outstandingly hard to deal/live w/. But, depressed, anxious etc people still have CHOICES. those people didn’t choose to die, he gave them that fate. It’s not an excuse, “pushing you off the edge” DOES NOT EQUAL THE FORGIVENESS OF MURDER.

Being depressed does not equal mass shootings. Over 300million people are estimated to be depressed, over 3million teens had major depressive episodes this year where they actually did an act, the fact is you can look back now and say how didn't you see he was going to shoot up a school because he's depressed but that's not realistic.

The cops were called, they did nothing; school administration knew about his behavior including students warning them and yet nothing was done; the parents knew about it and allowed it to happen (can’t give me that crap about “we didn’t know”). There’s more than we are told and people are not telling the public. As a former soldier I know what guns are capable of and I can also tell you that if you heavy regulate them, the number of deaths will drop big time. The fact that US is not capable to regulate it like for instance in Europe is a cultural problem. People who need their constitutional rights to protect theri family sound like they still live in the mediëval age, time to evolve, here in Holland we dont need to protect our families with guns, cause we have laws and a police force that does their job so we are quite amazed at why US people are so stubborn and failing to learn from all the mass shootings.

Shit where should I start. How about with the Bible. Should we talk about the fact that the only evidence God exists, the Bible, has hundreds of factual and historical errors making it impossible to have occurred? The garden of eden, the start of time, Abraham, Noah, Moses, all that shit did not happen yet they say it did. This makes the Bible look like sum fucking Swiss cheese it’s hard to follow a religion when it’s entire base isn’t true. Then how about the fact that coincidentally, only a quarter or less of the world believes in the true word of God. What did he just forget about them? Or maybe he relied on his Christian followers to spread that message, which might have worked if they didn’t spend thousands of years murdering, raping, and povertising half the world in Gods name and the white supremacy which he happened to support a couple hundred years ago but all of a sudden just decided not to as soon as it became a social movement. Do you really believe that he would let only a certain part of the world experience his love? What about people that never get the chance to be Christian, just because they are in a different part of the world? They get to go to hell and burn eternally because God decided not to reveal himself to them, not because they live thousands of miles away from the false Christian religion. And what about other religions? They have just as much of a base in fact, some actually more so, those just happen to not exist because your white ignorant mind wishes them not to? Their religion doesn’t exist so yours can? They have just as much probability in existence as any other religion. And how about Gods Justice? My friend was a devout Catholic his whole life, and so was I. He had never been in a fight, never hurt another person, went to Church every Sunday, never fucking blasphemyed, and he helped at a old persons home. One day, he was walking home from a volunteering place when a man approached him, raped him, and beat his head in with a rock, and ran away, never to come to justice. Is that Gods righteous justice? Was that Gods will? Is that his all powerfulness, his fair and kind ways for those who devote their entire lives to him? How about all the other occurrences in history that have been absolutely devoid of justice, just violence, and mindlessness sadism? The holocaust, wars, child murder, how do you and god justify these? Where is his righteousness that the Bible describes so profusely? Why does he not strike down those who don’t follow his word like he does in the Bible? But he murders and rapes and brutalizes those who have never deserved it? How can you blindly follow a religion that has no evidence to support it’s even real, and if it is, is the biggest hypocrisy that ever existed? What about the Catholic priest child rapings? How can a hand of god, a priest who supposedly follows and delivers his word, rape a innocent? Is that the meaning of God, of Christianity? Fuck no. You are a fucking sheep repeating about what your alcoholic and sad parents drilled into you with Sunday church, Christianity is a reflection of the fear that ignorant and scared people have of nothingness, death and misguidance. You need a false hand to lead you through your valley of death that you created.

I suggest you switch "white" with "American" because I never hear about any school shootings in Canada, England, Ireland, Scotland, France, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Serbia etc. etc. I think the US is just a breeding ground for all kinds of crazy shit, not limited to school shootings but other crimes like serial killing, torture murderers, kidnappers n so forth. But then again in Pakistan you also have grown men butchering school children and extreme gun violence in Nicaragua etc so maybe it's just a human problem that manifests like this in the US for cultural reasons
