Doo wop from the late 50s early 60s was my mom and dad's era. When I feel melancholy I will blast The Harptones, Moonglows, Paragons, Frankie Lemon n teenagers, Ritchie Valens, Flamingos 🦩 etc, etc. My parents met at a garage party back in 1958 when they were teenybopper 's and married in the early 60s, until their passing dad in 2019 of June and mom in Feb of 2021. My music was from the early 80s to 90s but I love doo wop forever.💯💖

When my beloved brothers try to sing Doo Wop with their friends and cousins, I just stood there, looking at them. My beloved father always use to come running, and pick me up to buy me ice cream. I tried asking him, what are they doing? He told me they were singing, I'll never forget those hot misty fogy nights... R.I.P. Frankie Lymon. You was also brilliant!

The SHAME about performers like him, was that managers and record companies arranged housing and travel, but would Steal the creative Rights to what the performers made. Essentially, they ended up living in houses and driving cars they Never Owned; then when the style of music Changed in the late Fifties, he was kicked to the Gutter.
Unfortunately, he was one of the Victims of the Entertainment Drug Culture, and of Corporate GREED.
The very FIRST thing Black performers needed, was a Good Lawyer to Protect their interests; even Elvis was duped by His manager, "the Colonel".

There is a genre of music I listen to called Korean Pop. And this is exactly how some of the companies treat their artists now. Like there is this big company named SM Entertainment and they never let the artists write their own songs so if they ever leave the company they wont have anything to leave with. And if the artists do write their own songs, the company slaps their name on it just like Levy. And they overwork their artists, and everything they get, it really doesnt belong to them.

    Baby-baby, how I want you
    Baby-baby, how I need you
Baby-baby, you're the only one, two, three, four
    Baby-baby, how I miss you
    Baby-baby, long to kiss you
Baby-baby, say you want me, two, three, four, five
You're my favourite number, all that counts is you
    I'm so glad it's you I want
I'm so glad you want me too
    Baby-baby, want to bring you
    Baby-baby, a wedding ring too
Baby-baby, soon will be three, four, five, six
    Stop!
    Baby-baby, when I'm near you
    Baby-baby, I go right to
Baby-baby, heaven number seven, eight, nine, ten
    Baby-baby, in your arms dear
    Baby-baby, all your charms dear
Baby-baby, I appreciate nine, ten, eleven
You're my favourite number, all that counts is you
    I'm so glad it's you I want
I'm so glad you want me too
    Baby-baby, hold me tight dear
Baby-baby, with all your might dear
Baby-baby, till the clcok strikes nine, ten, eleven, twelve
    Go home!
    That's all, bye-bye
    I love you Rachel!!!!!!!
