This video demonstrates on a Nissan Xterra. The process is the same for many other Nissan vehicles with a traditional style key. The programming process is just as easy for a Nissan / INFINITI smart key fob and will be demonstrated in a coming video.

Great work. Just got mine today for 2011 Nissan Frontier Pro-4. The truck came with one key and a fob so I ordered one key fob from Tom’s with the remote in one piece, which is an upgrade from having the original key and fob; and of course I got the programmer. I followed the directions and its all set; also I spent 2 dollars at a local locksmith to cut the key and now thanks to you i gotta less to carry on me and it cost me a fraction of the dealer cost. And its very satisfying to do my own work as I always try to do even if I’m not saving money i like to do whatever I can on own just for the learning experience.

I bought one for my 2014 Sentra and it works! Just make sure you reprogram all your keys.
You mean your original keys has to be reprogrammed as well?
@@kaybeane7196 I am not the original owner so I don’t know if the keys are all original. I reprogrammed all of my keys though.

How you do that.
The Nissan Simple Key Programmer is excellent and worked as advertized - very happy. I was able to program two new keys to my son's 06 Frontier. The local locksmith gave me a big spiel that Nissan's are tough to program new keys to the vehicle and that non professional programmers wouldn't work. I had confidence and was not let down. Great product!

Are you sure your vehicle battery did not die? Sometimes if a vehicle has a weak battery it dies during the Programming process. Also, check the FAQ section. There are Solutions for common problems and this should not erase your key. There is a therw phone number to call for tech support. Hope it is nothing difficult to solve

Hi, does this actually copy the key so that in the end you will have 2 working keys or does it make a new programmed key only to make the original key unusable?
You have 2 working keys after. This programmer makes spare keys and leaves the original working keys so they still work

Do you have a video of a Nissan 370z keyless fob programming (2016 date of manufacture) ?

Does the simple key work for multiple make cars. Can I order one and it work for my Nissan Xterra and also work for my wife’s Honda CR-V or would it be two different programmers? Thanks for any future knowledge on this
Nissan has a different programmer than Honda, so you would get one for each vehicle. And, even if you had two Nissan, you'd need a separate Programmer for each vehicle. The first step the programmer goes through is checking the vehicle VIN number and then a programmer becomes ties to a specific vehicle. on its first used.
Also, Honda programmer is coming out in Fall 2021.

Can you program more than one key with the programmer or do you need to buy an additional one?
Yes, it can program up to 4 keys to your vehicle with the single Programmer. But it can vary a bit of some vehicles have already had several additional keys programmed already.
Does it work if I don't have the key that turns on the car. They stole my key but I have an old key that's not programed

So this worked great for my 2018 Nissan Frontier, but I could only "transfer" the transponder from one to the other. I wanted to have 2 sets of working keys, but whenever I program a new one to erases the old one. Is there a way to have 2+ working keys using this?

Will this program OEM transponder keys or does this require a special key?
Yes, it will program both aftermarket and OEM. If you are looking for an OEM key, we can provide those too. They are not yet listed on our website. Just email help@tomskey.com with your vehicle info and a photo of front and back of the key so we can check the price.

Dose the key come with the programming device
Many kits include one key with the Programmer. Some have the programmer by itself and you buy the keys needed

What if you have key but transponder is broken?
If you have a key the starts the engine and let's you drive the vehicle, you can use our kit to make a spare key

@@TomahawkDIY Ok, Why haven't you tested it on a 2019 Nissan Frontier yet? I think it would work. A guy on here said it worked for him and a Lock-Smith told me that a 2018 and 2019 have the same Key and Pats System. If i was to try it, is there a chance it would delete my only working Key? Read the instructions very carefully. Nissan/INFINITI programming requires all keys to be re-programmed during the programming process. Sounds like you are only Programming the new keys.

Tried to program keys for my 2013 nissan sentra and keep getting error 4
This code suggests the wrong dial position was used. Check the instructions for an alternate disk position. If the code keeps coming, call technical support number in the FAQ section of manual. Hope you have success! If you need to return, contact help@tomskey.com
