I've been trying to match a smart key to a 2012 Nissan Patrol (Australia) with no luck... I can do the following
1) Read BCM and get code
2) Generate 4-digital PIN
3) Enter PIN to unlock steering
4) Dashboard shows image saying to hold key next to start button
5) Nothing happens. Key never matches.
Any idea what I am doing wrong?
The car is proximity key/start button only.. no slot.
I am using xHorse Mini OBD Tool to try to match the key.

There is something I don't understand. Why do you have to get the password from the BCM and all that. My friend programmed an Infiniti and didn't need to get any code or password. Im not saying you're doing it wrong, I just want to know the difference. I see your job worked as well as my friend's, but what's the difference between getting the 049B4 BCM Code and password and just programming the key. Thank you in advance. I'm just beginning ok.

Yes you can do all the programming just make sure your constantly updating the mini obd when they provide newer updates or firmware!!
Any idea where the key code is on a 2013 Nissan Altima, I pulled the door lock cylinder on the driver side but nothing on that one, so I pulled the cylinder core apart but was only able to get 8 bittings and this is a 10.
You have to calculate the last two!! Trt calculating with instacode ..or on the xp dolphin...

Hello.can I ask about digit-pin? how can I know 20-digit pin or 4 digit-pin for model? and how can I know type of pin?
Autopropad.com check vehicle list for type and pin .. 4 digit pin is for older models and 20digit pin is for newer models

No lo siento !! No se puede usar el chip se bloquea cuando se programma a un coche
pero puedes desbloquear la llave y programarla de nuevo.

I have the Mini and i was told the Mini just dont have obd2 comnection option but does the same. Whats your opinion?
mamery jazz I perfer the autopropad when programming ,when it comes down to cloning I perfer key tool max.. yes that correct .. can do everything the max can except that the max has a cool screen and can program vehicles and fobs
