A look at Bruce Lees unhuman speed.
Bruce Lee was born on November 27, 1940, in San Francisco, California. He was a child actor in Hong Kong who later returned to the U.S. and taught martial arts. He starred in the TV series The Green Hornet (1966-67) and became a major box office draw in The Chinese Connection and Fists of Fury.

It was kiiinda sick but still not all that effective looking or especially quick when compared to the best actual competitive fighters nowdays. Pick any top 100 boxer in lighter weight classes, they’re much quicker. Those actually known for good hand speed like King Ry make Bruce look downright slow. That’s ok tho, Bruce was amazing in his own way.

Comparisons between Bruce and other great fighters, like Ali, misses the point that Bruce was operating in a higher dimension. Bruce was a visionary, a pioneer who sought to integrate the knowledge of all types of martial arts in HIS OWN WAY. He studied biophysics to maximize the effectiveness of HIS motion and philosophy to be in complete control of HIS mind. His ability to adapt to any type of martial arts, like water, is what brought to him masters and leaders of all kinds, including Kareem. Ultimately I see that Bruce's goal was to live his vision of a complete fighter. Although he would have been extremely successful at competition or real fights, that probably served no purpose for him.

Yes, some moves of Wing Chun can't be used in real fights that's why he create Jeet Kune Do (Bruce Lee also talked about Chinese tradition martial art need to improve). In Jeet Kune Do, he choose most effective moves from his experience with Boxing, fencing tactic, Karate, Chinese's tradition martial art. etc...

I always assume a guy will come in with at least a knife (don't count on seeing it), or some type of blade/razor, so some of the wing chun type of moves can get you cut. Whatever move you do, assume it's a weapon.

Of course he was fast! He trained with everything. Mostly his abs where I’ve done the same at a young age but with much more intensity than him. That’s why I retain my speed until now. 3 months of maximum level intensity training. No one could have kept up with me ever in the history of human kind. My body was young I healed well and did thousands of pushups, sit-ups, leg lifts, curls, griping exercise and other things. I was only curling with 20lb weights. Now Bruce Lee’s training was intense too the way he can lift his entire body from the bench facing his back to the bench and up. He was definitely strong due to his length of training. My short length of training doesn’t make me overall dfast like him in other areas, but in punching, I’m fast. Bruce is so fast though, I admire anyone that’s close to as fast or possibly as fast as me. Holy crap it’s good to watch someone else. I only recorded myself a few times in my life.
