It's a very common philosophy in Eastern Martial Arts, in Budo we call it Mushin (無心) or "No Mind" and sometimes Fudoushin(不動心) or the "immovable mind". It's a state where you're body just moves of it's own accord to react to a situation you've trained the neurons in your brain and muscles in your body hundreds upon hundreds continuously over YEARS and YEARS of repetition. That's what many people who do not practice martial arts do not understand, some of them are ''what if experts''.... Yes there can be hundreds upon hundreds of counters for one particular kick but they do not necessarily matter if the one preforming the counter has not practiced the counter enough. Unless the technique in question is inherently flawed on a fundamental level, training a certain move hundreds if not thousands of times will give you a abnormal speed and reaction with it when used in the appropriate tempo, a speed that leaves such a very VERY small window for any counter whatsoever. Ultra Instinct in Dragon Ball is an exaggeration of this concept but also illustrative of it especially for the layman. Not weighed down by thoughts, not weighed down by planning out moves, not weighed down by confusion or doubt. All of those things take time, some a lot more than others, and when you're fighting someone unbelievably skilled such as Goku did, he didn't have that time. It's not "I'm going to throw a right hook at his head"...The right hook is already there because you've trained giving that punch so many times your brain doesn't need to give your body complex instructions.

"Do not pray for an easy life. Pray for the strength to endure a difficult one." - Bruce Lee ..... One must certainly admire Bruce's inner strength. "Be calm, be strong, be grateful, and be of no cheerless heart; have no wing nor feather broken; sigh not, neither do thou wail..." ~ Abdul-Baha, Baha'i Faith

@@deavyhick6803 He didn't steal the quote. To have stolen the quote meant he would have said exactly what Brooks said and claimed it as his own. He more adapted the quote to be understood in a different way. Modernized it if you will. To pray to be a stronger man sounds like trying to be a tough guy. But to pray to have strength to endure a difficult life is having inner strength. Difference between trying to brute force problems and being able to take a difficult life in stride. This is saying he even stole anything and he knew who Philips Brookes was. Otherwise it could be a case of 2 great minds thinking alike. It happens all the time. Besides how did that quote even apply to Brooks? He was a white American man who probably didn't have to face half the problems a man like Bruce did being a popular Chinese American IN America. Bruce studied Philosophy in Seattle, and combined many concepts that he discussed with his professor about yin and yang, and simplified and divided everything in just 2 words: Attack and Defend. He wrote a book that was circulating between the concepts of Offense and defense and how we can incorporate yin and yang into chinese kung fu and the spirit of kung that it represents.
Everything he does is so smooth, the way he speaks, his moves and how he thinks. Really really way ahead of his time. Imagine the influence he could made during this modern time.
If this legend was alive more than for 60 to 70yrs just imagine where he would had taken the martial arts world, at a very young age he created history.

*perfect practice makes a man perfect* if u practice written yes with a *c* like yec . even if u write it 984984949 times it's wrong an won't make you perfect . we are all practicing in our daily life but we practicing the wrong habits like masturbation over sleep an laziness an our brain pick up those patterns . so ur quote is completely wrong but who cares just a random comment in a ocean of random comments in a milky galaxy for videos
@@Онактожаждет Definitely! Constant practices make people perfect but should be in the right directions. People misunderstood and just practiced in what they think is correct. That's exactly why he keeps mastering himself and understanding himself. He acquires whatever is useful to him and keeps the constant improvement. He recognizes the mistakes he makes and corrects them immediately.
@@Онактожаждет yep. Not just practice but effective practice. Effective practice is trouble shooting where you went wrong. What was wrong? Why was it wrong? It's also about practicing at the edge of your limits so you can grow and practice a movement perfectly, even if you are slow
🙏🔥
"Do not pray for easy lives, pray to be stronger men...." Phillips Brooks 1835-1893. Sadly coke head Bruce didn't give any credit to the quotes he stole.
But considering you called him a coke head for whatever reason I don't think you want an intellectual conversation.
@@gagetaylor192 praying for strength is different then praying to be strong? Bruce knew who Brooks was, he had his books. Are you saying you can't struggle or have a hard life if your white? That's racist. He studied philosophy so I'm sure he knew a lot of them. He even plagiarized his college essay. When you quote somebody, or use something from another book, you give credit to the source cited from. Bruce lifts his quotes almost verbatim with no credit.
@@gagetaylor192 Bruce died worth 10 mil, how hard was his life? By his own admission, Bruce had a substantial cocaine habit and he used other hard drugs, along with Linda. Wtf are you talking about? Know the facts firsts.
Never expected Bruce that he was a very deep person. Powerful and deep.

How to watch this video
Step 1: Don't think
Step 2: Feel
Legit tho, just close your eyes and listen without trying to think about what he says. Your mind will understand it properly
"Don't watch, feel"
TENET
Actuly you should think a lot

Bruce was an amazing human being and not just physically. He broke down racial barriers, came up with incredible philosophical thoughts and spread joy to millions with his unique style. Thank you Sifu.
Bruce lee lutou muito pra chegar a esse sucesso! Merecido!!!
And the bridge between west culture and east culture
Bruce Lee is the kind of human that only emerges once in a generation. What a loss for humanity that he was gone too soon.
His voice has an unforgettable reality which will never fade away..👌
While watching this I can't stop admiring him. Don't know exactly for what, for his obvious mastery over his domain, or for his clarity of thoughts, for way he expressed his thoughts. Surely a man ahead of his time.. and that too in his twenties..
Man he was a genius, scholar, legend.
Same.
You're witnessing someone who has reach their highest potential. Embodying fully their essence and who they are deep down inside. You admire this because this is something that is universally recognized by the spirit.
Right now,he said be like water my friend. But,see how we all have trained our mind to get attached/be judgemental. So,i would not say he was ahead of his time,i Would just say be water my friend.
This 'lost' interview is what I needed to 'find' myself. RIP Bruce 🙏
Bruce Lee's words
Of Philosophy is so fascinating
It's like a magnet that will draw
You in completely he had a different vibe about himself
The saddest part of this legend, his death is still mystery
murder
Heat....he removed his sweat glands from arm pits.....
Remember the heat strokes he got...
I remember reading somewhere that he had a aneurism, don't remember where though... but it said it was caused by the medicine he was taking
his death is not a mystery ,who even said that ? LOL .......thats just the mass reaction ,like for Elvis ppl were still thinking he was alive decades later his death ,and there was 0 mystery in his death ,he had a heart attack while taking a shit ...........ppl like to create stories about famous people i guess, bcauz ''a legend can't die'' right?
@@maximenadeau5594 Its common to see people create those stories man, if you search enough, you'll find someone who believes Bruce is his neighboor xD
I can listen him for hours and hours , he is just perfect example of a man . ^_^

We shall never get another Bruce Lee in this world... very real and very brilliant
"Running water never grows stale, so you gotta just keep on flowing." I feel like I really needed to hear that.
Everything he says is so universally true. I'm a classical musician and I feel exactly what he is saying.
His eyes were so expressive! What a legendary philosopher and martial artist
He will always be a LEGEND and he lives on with his knowledge and experience 🙏 R.I.P. MASTER LEE

Emotional Control - I couldn't have made it this far in life without it. Thank you for the wisdom, Bruce Lee.
No one in the mma or the UFC or boxing would be able to stop this man he is the meaning of combat or "combat sports" love this guy
At the end of the video, through Bruce's eye, I see that he had extremely confident to his belives and philosophy.
He was so ahead of his time, a true fight philosopher
Bruce studied Philosophy in Seattle, and combined many concepts that he discussed with his professor about yin and yang, and simplified and divided everything in just 2 words: Attack and Defend. He wrote a book that was circulating between the concepts of Offense and defense and how we can incorporate yin and yang into chinese kung fu and the spirit of kung that it represents.
Everything he does is so smooth, the way he speaks, his moves and how he thinks.
Really really way ahead of his time. Imagine the influence he could made during this modern time.
His clarity of thought and action made him genius... Really amazing to hear him... He is alive in our hearts ❤️
I can listen to this legend all day, every day. His voice is so relaxing.
The Man, you could learn more from this man in a couple of minutes, than some in a life time.✨

Wooow, facts
For people who didnt watch the whole interview go find it and do it. You will be hypnotized. Bruce's charisma is unmatched it pours out of his every pore. Once you see how intelligent, wise and eloquent he is then you will respect his martial art skills and athleticism even more. He was full package. Martial ARTIST in true sense.
Bruce Lee! Legend. People can copy his style, but not his intelligence, philosophy, true fighting expression.
Bruce is one of the few people who I really think of as "special". Absolute master of just being a person. Shame he died so young.
This has made me more of a man, over the years, than everything my parents taught me growing up.
R.I.P-Bruce Lee
man, i know that feeling.
No,maybe some do not,but i think most parents know but they don't explain the reason. They ask most of us to behave in a specific way, which they know very well why to behave in a specific way, because they have already felt why to do that, due to experience. But they don't give a reason, the way bruce explained us.They know we will understand when we grow up on our own.
