  • Use an acrylic Akua Printmaking Plate and a variety of traditional and found tools to make lines and tones in an intaglio plate. These are drypoint and engraving processes - they do not require acid or grounds.
Remember that you'll often need to work on your plate, proof, and then re-work your plate, then proof again. You probably won't get the ideal values, forms, and textures the first time. Leave time in the process to "negotiate" with your plate - print it, clean it, scrape and draw some more, and repeat.
