nice: Singing along the squals!
😀
Such enjoyable videos! Tip- the wind indicator isn’t absolutely necessary. If you hang sewing thread for example in the rigging, that too will indicate wind direction. It’s a poor man sailor trick, but highly effective.
That’s true. But solo sailing you want either to use the windvane or the tillerpilot. And for both of them the windinfo is very useful
He Jacqueline,
Complimenti
Sei una navigatrice e donna eccezionale
Many thanks!
Love your videos, great sailing with good attitude, a good role model for all us sailing in small boats, all with lovely Dutch accent. Greetings from Finland!
Thanks. Nice to hear
An inspiring role model for all of us in all kinds of situations, not only at sea 🙏
Clouds are nice, cloud nine is the best 😉
Sure is!
Safe travels!! It was very Inspirational to talk to you, I admire your courage and sailing expertise. I hope you got the pizza safely on board😊
Yes. The pizza worked out fine! On top of my swimming bag. And me swimming behind it. It was nice to meet you!
Great sailing
Thanks!
Welcome to trinidad
Henk
Wow, brilliant authentic video and a great achievement. Congratulations!!
Thank you!
Mooi hoor. Wat een prachtige boot ❤
Dank je wel. Dat is leuk om te horen.
Beste Jacqueline,
Nice video
Merci!
👍👍👍 Grt Belgie
Merci!
Great video. We are in Mindelo, headed to Brazil, hoping to see you out there.
Would be nice! But I am in Panama at the moment
@@sailingloveworkx When you are back in the Atlantic, you might consider the protected anchorage at Baia Do Aratu (S12.47, W38.27), approximately 10nm north of Salvador in the Bay of All Saints, Bahia, Brazil. It is shaped like a bowl, surrounded by low-lying hills, probably the best place we have ever anchored.
👍
Dank!

Great video thankyou, quite spectacular. Amongst the big rollers yet you keep calm with a smile on your dial. I'm envious of your cooker. They don't make those anymore and 2nd hand ones sell for a lot. Much better than gas. If you had your time over again would you go for a roller furler for the jib? Interested in your feedback. My boat is very similar to yours (a couple of feet bigger) and I need new rigging and new sails, so I am deciding whether to go your route or keep the furler. If I go for hanked on sails it means I can have a dyneema forestay which I'd really like to have. But a furler might be preferable in the Southern Ocean which is where I'll be going (I'll be installing a solent forestay either way).
Whilst I am still very ok with my hanked on sails sofar, I also think about a roller furler from time to time. But I have so many sails. My genua 2 is at home and would be used for the roller furler. I have sailed with my Genua 1 very often on this journey. And what about changing the roller furler sail to a storm jib? So I will keep this configuration for now.
@@sailingloveworkx Thanks for the detailed replay. As you intimate, the storm jib (or a high cut #3) is the the big factor in all of this when you're going long distance blue water. If one chooses to go furler you need an inner forestay stay of some sort installed (eg solent stay) otherwise you can't put a storm jib up. But you know all this anyway ;)
Did not believe you make it this farr. How Wrong I was 😉
Nice!
Je moet maar durven. Petje af dame.
Merci!
