  • Yesterday was my birthday, and I hope I survived the night. If not, just know that champagne, butter and pasta are my top 3, and a recipe that has all of them is the way I want to be sent off. This is an easy recipe that can be in under 30 minutes (outside of the brining time) and it doesn't require a lot to be good but you can also customize it to your liking!

    Grocery List:
    Brine:
    1 tbsp white sugar
    1 tbsp salt
    6-7 jump shrimp, peeled, deveined, tail off
    Water to cover
    Olive oil, salt, pepper, red pepper flakes when time to sear
    1 lb linguine
    Salt & pepper to taste
    Parsley for garnish
    Champagne Butter Sauce:
    Olive oil
    2 shallots, finely diced
    4 cloves garlic, minced
    1/2 stick butter, cut into smaller cubes, room temperature
    1 cup dry champagne (Chandon Brut)
    1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
    1 cup heavy whipping cream
    1/2 parmesan cheese
    Salt & pepper to taste
