Reviewing Origins in Dragon Age: Origins - Dwarf Commoner Origin

Hello, everyone! I'm Cole form The Kingdom, and today we're continuing to look at the origin stories in Dragon Age: Origins. So we'll talk about what I like and don't like about each of them.
The Dwarf Commoner is pretty decent. Not too complicated, and it does a pretty good job of showing you the seedy underbelly of the proud dwarven city of Orzammar. Unfortunately, you don't get much additional content later in the game. But it works well if you want to play your Warden as being ruthless or a criminal.

This is my cannon and favourite origin, hands down the best underdog story. From castless to a paragon, living ancestor.

In the dwarf commoner origin, it is interesting to see nadezka recognize you & you can mention how you & nedezka used to work together in the carta under beraht. And how she mentions that you know how bad that the castless are treated by the guards, especially when she didn't have the coin for a bribe. Another important line from nedezka is if you are not a dwarven warden & you ask about the brand on her face. She says something like the deep lords brand a castless dwarf on the day they're born, so they never forget their place. To me, as much as the dwarf commoner origin, that tells you alot of what you need to know about how the castless are treated.

Dwarf Commoner is def an origin that is an eye opener. I'd already signed off on Bhelen for my first play through but Brosca is what made me secure in my decision. He isn't just keeping Rica about either, he's going to *marry* her. That alone shows what changes he's going to make. Sometimes, history needs a tyrant. Plus, Dust Town's plight reminds me of areas where I grew up. There's little community, just facade, crime simmering open. God forbid you want to leave or better anything. Idk how it is elsewhere, but the Casteless story *is* a commoner's story. They are the common folk at it's base with the drive to do great horrors or great reforms.
Aside, how did I just *know* there'd be nowt here on perceived allegory like in the City Elf origin, huh? :/

Yeah, the only time I ever picked Bhelen was when playing as a Dwarf commoner because it just makes sense to pick him from the characters perspective. Sure, your mom is a lost cause but I like to think that she cheers up after your sister becomes a queen pretty much.

I feel like puting Bhalen on the throne makes sense as a Human Noble aswell because oh he is the kings son so obvi he should be king

This is my favourite origin. I love the fact you can come from nothing and end up at the top. Really love it.

I really enjoy the Zero to Hero aspect of this Origin--one of my worldstates going in DA4 has a Brosca--but boy can you tell this was written with the idea of a male PC first (some of the other origins are a bit like that too, but it's most obvious with Brosca imo)

Why do all of the female dwarfs have beards in this video? ridiculous in my honest opinion it looks ugly.
Other than that love the dwarfen origin story's also all hail king Bhelen a real progresive he's awesome harrowmont not so much he's terrible and not really a great king.
