Ja, inte bara Sverige men ocksa i Finland 🇫🇮 Sommaren har varit kort igen som alltid 😢 Ok, enjoy the fall and the winter months, then again another summer is near. Skot om dig ✌️🙏
great content again, I only have 1 plaid cotton flannel shirt, I find as is flannel or geometric patterned top doesn't flatter me personally but it is a great mid layer under denim or leather jacket and works well to break up the monotonous denim and denim, and perhaps the only type of shirt that gets better and mellower when it is fading over time. and the brushed ones is so good and soft as someone who wear glasses it is very useful to wear, I wipe my glasses and clean my phone on it.
Agree! There are many plaids that just don’t look good on me, I tend to lean towards the earth tones. There are also solid color cotton and wool options out there!
I would love "Urban Flannels." Most flannels are made for country living, with Western pockets and loud plaids, for people who ride motorcycles and fix cars. On a NYC subway, flannels don't work, unless you're in construction in your full work gear. For example, an "urban flannel" could also be "Made in Japan" with real indigo, short spread collars and no pockets whatsoever. Plaids would be elegant, stealthy, but still captivating. With most plaids, color and pattern isn't intentional but an afterthought. In a chaotic city, plaids become another form of noise. One designer doing plaids well is Paul Smith but it's not gauze, not slub, and lacking the obsessive Japanese attention to detail.
You guys are missing out if you’re not trying out the Devium Boca flannels. They’re a super nice mid-weight flannel 100% made in the USA from raw material to construction. Awesome patterns, the cloth feels like felt, and has carved horn buttons.
Do you wear you flannels for the image or for the comfort because I wouldn’t be wearing 150$ shirts to work that’s for sure. But I also don’t have an office job.
I pretty much wear my heavy weight flannels everywhere! I work in maintenance, so I typically wear a pair of coverall over my street clothes. Of course, if I'm working on something messy like painting - I'll change into something I don't mind destroying. I also have a different pair of boots for really, really messy jobs.
Hey, thanks …glad you enjoyed it! Yes, in Northern California it can dip down into the 50s at night, even during the summer, so a flannel shirt is perfect.
Iron Heart is so fitted. Tough for me to pull off. I have a 14oz type 3 jacket in the very largest size... And it is snug. I'm 6'5" 245lbs. No reason for an 4XL to be snug lol. My normal clothes are xl/XXL
Definitely not for everyone. Iron Heart is one of those brands who make clothes for the “average” sized person. That is their very targeted and specific customer base. Tailored Work Wear!
Hi Paul, that Rogue Territory shirt is awesome but I find their sizing to be more for the lean guy. I am 5'9" 175 lbs. with a 40" chest and my Rogue Territory denim jacket in size large is tight. Do their shirts run similar? I want to order one but I'm on the fence between a large and XL, although I never wear an XL in anything. What are your thoughts on fit?
I would say Rogue runs pretty “true to size” which, by today’s standards, would be considered “slim” or “fitted” … so, if you’re in between sizes, I recommend you size up. Check their size charts and compare it to a shirt that you already own. Also, if the XL is a little big on you; you could always throw it in the dryer to shrink it a little bit. Otherwise stick with a Filson or Pendleton shirt, they tend to run a bit “roomier” Good luck!
I tried searching for those 2 Iron Heart flannel shirts on the website but I couldn't find one. Are they going to produce more of those 2 specific IR flannel shirts?
No. Every season they switch up the fabrics. But, you’re in luck, Iron Heart is in the middle of dropping all their new flannel color ways for fall 2023. They’re releasing some amazing shirts and they just dropped the “crazy check” red/white, which is very similar to my red/white/blue shirt.
With Iron Heart it's all in the numbers, ignore the tag size. I find I cannot size down to the work shirt from the westerns, the difference in fit is, for me, not that significant.
Haha! No, not this time around. So many shirts we didn’t get to! Nudie, Naked & Famous, Gitman Vintage, Filson, RRL and more Rogue Territory shirts. UES makes a killer flannel! Maybe next time around, we’ll cover more stuff!
Hey! There’s makers out there who have larger sizes. For instance, Pendleton makes up to a 3X with a 60 inch chest size. Also, Filson usual runs big, they make XXL and XXXL even have extra long shirts if you’re tall.
That price point is definitely not for everyone. I admit, it makes me a bit nervous spending $300. But, considering how well it’s made, and the fact its supporting decent jobs all the way up the supply chain; not sweatshops in Malaysia… I consider it worth every penny.
@@thedadchronicles I’ve searched… haven’t found a flannel shirt as good As Iron Heart yet. All around quality + the fit. Maybe a few come close, but don’t hit all the marks like IH does.
Keep the content coming! Love your channel!

I see your point. Iron Heart has done several plain flannels this season
@@themancaveclub Yes, but they still have Western style acorn pockets, not urban at all.
What about Indigofera ?
So many nice flannels- not enough time!
@@themancaveclub 😊 indeed!

Great video guys. I love the iron-heart 20th anniversary flannel, do you both wear your uhf flannel shirts year round? Summer and winter. 😢

Hahaha wearing an I’ll fitting shirt doesn’t hurt the body, but it hurts to look at !😂
So true brudder
Any thoughts on Tellason's shirts?
Yes! Tellason shirts are fantastic! I would highly recommend! They’re very well built, will last you forever!

300 bucks for a shirt, though, I mean, these companies are laughing all the way to the back.

Although I support what you are saying, there are USA made clothing companies that are half the price and of the same quality.

When you are the best in the world at what you do. It's OK to take abit of liberties.
@Ponder_lust I guess don’t knock it till you tried it.
