Looks great. I'm old enough to remember when it was first built and was praised for it's modernity. Now it's the third oldest which makes me realize how old I am.
In 2004, you could get a top deck or pavilion ticket for $6. Whether it was Dodgers vs Padres or even the *Yankees* where Dave Roberts actually got an inside the park HR against the Bronx Bombers. Ah, those were the days...
@@dannycass7931 I know about inflation. I know the math formula, same with installment loans and compounding interest etc etc... $6 back then in todays inflation is not a $30 (minimum) for a ticket.
I visited in 2019 from Scotland,UK on holiday...i know nothing about baseball but WOW!..what a day..did the stadium tour,amazing place,so much to see,beautiful location.....bought 2 t shirts,2 baseball caps....love the Dodgers now.......hope to return in 2022.....amazing place!!!!!!
Still can buy a ticket for $35 in the infield reserve. Bring the family. Can't do that with the Lakers at Staples. And in Los Angeles as great as the Lakers are.. more people in L.A actually love the Dodgers more. There's a better connection. It's just different. But also Dodger Stadium has always been the place.
I remember taking photos as a kid @ that modern center-field gate back in 1983/84 (still have the photos), it's amazing the beautiful job they've done with so many renovations!! Wow!!
They kept the view of the palm trees and the mountains, which is great.. I wish the Cubs did the same with the view of the houses across the streets when they added all those extra seats too..
I’m a Cubs fan but the best in and outside experience I’ve had was at Busch Stadium in Saint Louis!! Their Ball Park Village experience and Stadium experience is just spectacular. I wish more cities will do the same!! Cubs Nation is doing something similar but not as good!! And wrigleyville is nice but not as good!!
The bleachers is a unique experience because many many people go regularly so it’s a very community like atmosphere there, plus homers make the area shake!! It’s pretty fun and most are paying attention to the game.
I hate to say it because as an 8 year old boy I attended a Dodgers/Cardinals game there in it's first year, 1962, but I bet the price of everything from parking, tickets, concession items, etc., are all super sky high ! Probably can get a thimble sized cup of beer for, what $10 ? SMH
Steroids had been around since the early 70’s, maybe even before that. But every one is suspect really. Steroids doesn’t always mean you hit many homeruns.
Thousands of businesses shut down temporarily, some permanently, some I have been going to for years are gone.. but at least Dodger Stadium is renovated!! Amazing Job, California really thanks.
Beautiful Stadium but could’ve made those high school bleachers a bit more comfortable with actual comfortable seats Let’s Go Los Angeles Dodgers Da Da Da Da Charge!! ⚡️🐴 🏈
Anyone else ever notice that from above the stadium looks like a spider in a web? Spider being the stadium with palm tree legs. The web is the white lines in the parking lot.
I think this stadium is best for cricket ..... and most of the world's people come here to watching cricket matches INDIA , AUSTRALIA, NEW ZERLAND , SOUTH AFRICA, ENG
It’s okay. I was expecting much more though. This doesn’t look anything like the model pictures from a couple years ago. I wonder if they cut costs due to the pandemic closures.
I can see letting Seager go but should have just paid Scherzer! Don't better get use to the idea of Trevor Bauer pitching next season!!! The Dodgers are just paying him too much for him to sit at home!!!!
Nice park but then you’d have to watch the Padres and the god-awful uniforms they wear. This year they’re barely hanging on the the WC and Tatis is suspended for 80 games from PED testing, gone for rest of the year. 🤷♂️
I love it but I have to say that whoever wrote the Spanish part of the sing (minute 1:59) is not a native speaker. it has a lot of mistakes. It should be: Por favor esten ALERTAS (Not "Alertos") con los bates y pelotas que entren AL (Not "a la") area de asientos. Por favor no INTERFIERAN (Not "interfieren") con las pelotas en Juego. LOS violadores SERÁN (A with acento "á" not "a") expulsados.
Dodger Stadium is not even close to being the most beautiful ballpark. While it is a nice ballpark, there are at least 10 better ballparks in the MLB from Fenway, Wrigley, Oracle, Pittsburg, and Seattle to name just a few.
💛🤎💛🤎💛🤎💛🤎💛🤎💛🤎💛 Good job on copying Petco Park’s family atmosphere, I guess you guys are really trying to distance yourself from the murders committed by your fans in the parking lot. Let the Rivalry heat up once again 🤎💛🤎💛🤎💛🤎💛🤎💛🤎💛🤎💛
There is no rivalry. Dodgers swept Padres 3-0 in 2020 NLDS. Dodgers 12-7 over Padres in 2021. This 2022 season so far 8-2 over Padres, 2 of 3, 3 of 4, 3 game sweep. Padres traded for Soto, Bell, Drury, Hader. Injured Tatis making rehab, then busted for PED use, 80 game suspension, gone for season and part of 2023. Since August 2 trade deadline as of Aug. 28, 2022, Dodgers 18-5, Padres 10-12. Hader has thrown 4.2 innings, allowed 12 runs on 12 hits, 7 walks, 8 strikeouts, 6 earned runs today in one third of an inning. His Padres ERA - over 23, higher than the Dodgers magic number of now 16. In the last 10 games Dodgers have reduced their magic number by 12, 7 Dodgers wins, 5 Padres losses. Not much of a rivalry.
They would've stayed there had the city given then-owner Walter O'Malley permission to build that new ballpark he had in mind at the time (would've been where Shea Stadium used to be, as a matter of fact). Glad he brought the Dodgers here to LA instead and finally got Dodger Stadium built. Brooklyn's loss, but they got themselves to blame for that (lol)! Besides, if the Dodgers were to return there then the Mets would have to pack up and find another city to call home... 😂
bad stadium cant afford a roof or a retractable one. Can't afford ac for the stadium. But Mainly the parking lot displaced a Hispanic community that was established there . Why didn't they build parking garages?
Why are the Dodgers wasting money on a fancy stadium when they won't spend big on players!! I would rather have a great team on the field with a CRAPPIE stadium than a great stadium with a team that might not make the playoffs!
Wow looks great. How I would love to go back to Dodger Stadium and experience all the new features, but I refuse to support MLB for getting political and pulling the All Star game from GA. MLB should focus only on baseball and removing the 2017 World Series victory from the Houston Asterisks. STOP being political and telling me what I should believe or not believe. Fix and maintain the integrity of the game of baseball. Because until you do that, I WILL NOT WATCH OR ATTEND ANY GAMES!
Between the stadiums of the Dodgers, Padres, and Giants....LAs is the least impressive. Should have just built a new stadium. 3rd oldest in MLB but without the character and charm of the other two (Fenway and Wrigley).
I’m 45 years old and was born and raised in Los Angeles, I think I’ve been to Dodger’s Stadium once in my life for a game as a kid, I’m not into sports in the least, but after seeing all these new additions I question whether the destruction of the Chavez Ravine neighborhood in order to build Dodger’s Stadium ought to be part of that new outter area! It wouldn’t have that lovely view without those sacrificed to create the home to this boring boring game/ team.
