The most extraordinary moment in Dodgers history is the Gibby home run in the 88 World Series. I'm still yelling and screaming after that one. I cried in the ninth because I thought the Dodgers had no chance. No one would believe that it was possible. I was in the Bay area and thought I would get killed because I yelled and screamed so loud when I watched it in a bar. I think I blacked out for a moment from sheer joy.
I would love to see some of these spaced out more. A couple I don’t have context for, or only know in passing, so it’d be cool if this became a series!
Edit: Or maybe even just the titles staying up throughout the video clip!
Personally, the best Dodger Stadium moment for me was actually an Angel game in 1964 when they played there. Jim Fregosi hit for the cycle. That was the very first game I attended at Dodger Stadium.
Should’ve included Ron Cey’s grand slam from game 1 of ‘77 NLCS off Steve Carlton. It was the first GS in nlcs history. Then Dusty Baker hit one the following night in game 2.
What happened to the Bellinger Homer vs the Braves when he tied the game. Albert going 5 for 5 and AJ Pollock 5 for 5 as well? NLCS 2021? Ring a bell!
