I get to the stadium 1.5 hrs before the game and never had issues on any of the gates. This gives me time to have a few beers and enjoy the stadium before the game.
I do the same gwt there when the gates open
I've always enjoyed walking around the stadium before the games. Dodgers stadium is so huge to
Same here!
@@818bluesmurf Some folks don't have that luxury..
I love checking out dodger stadium before the games
Traffic conditions inside Dodger Stadium would be so much better if they built about a dozen or so pedestrian bridges so the crossing guards didn't have to stop the cars every 10 seconds.
This is actually a really good idea
We park on Academy Road. (Outside the gates of Dodger Stadium) it is a 5 minute walk to the park, and parking is free.
Easy in, easy out.
It costs me $25 to Uber to the stadium and it's $35 to park. Round trip is $50 and I don't have to drive. Pro Tip when leaving stadium is to avoid the Uber pickup area. You'll wait an hour for the car and an hour to get out. Take a 15 minute walk down the hill and fetch a car from there.
We’ll ya you pay 50 to Uber… and walk “15 mins” that’s the whole disadvantage lol
Parking is 25 online
@@ericguzman1745 $25 or $35...I would never pay either.
Went to a ton of games in the 90s, and parking, ticket and gas from O.C. came to, maybe, $20.
It's all out of my system, as I'll just order the Extra Innings package and watch just about 162 games for $200.
No gas, parking, no lines, no traffic, cheap beer, etc...
Thanks, I’m planning on attending my first Dodgers game and will be using Lyft/Uber. How was your experience and where did you walk to for 15 minutes?
@@jordanwilliams1546 Down the hill. Exit thru the 3rd Base side out by left field. If you look toward the right there is a an exit. Lots of people will be migrating there so just follow the crowd. At the bottom of the hill is Sunset Blvd. There will be bars, clubs and food trucks. I moseyed thru a bit and called a car from there.
Dodger Express from Union Station...ALWAYS. MUCH better than driving (dedicated bus lane in -- thanks, LAPD!). I haven't parked at Dodger Stadium in ten years.
Pro Tip: also stops at Top Deck.
Parking at Union Staion: $8.
Not Having To Drive In The Nightmare of Dodger Stadium Parking: Priceless.
Does the bus take you back or how does it work? Do you have to wait till the game ends or does the bus take you back anytime
Yes it takes you back. They run 1.5 hours before and after the game. Plus Frank
McCourt does not get a penny!!!!!!
@@maxsmart8954that is the best reason of all.
We've always come in through the outfield/Elysian Park entrance coming off the 5 Freeway. I remember there used to be an old baseball diamond at the entrance that the team paved over to create more parking spaces. Parking used to be $4 back then.
I remember that baseball diamond and the 76 station.
Can you take a Hydro flask in the stadium?
@@kush-7608 I don't think so. But I'm not sure because I haven't been to a game in years.
Park just off Sunset, go to Guisado’s before then walk into the stadium. Pray your old beater car gets stolen, Uber home and enjoy your insurance check!
Dad used to live off Amador st back in the day. We’d hear the crowd and definitely forewords. Gate D academy was always our gate. Still it to enter and exit. Many times we walked to the games. Let’s go Dodgers!
Great video I’m. Flying to LA to from Dallas to watch the dodgers Sunday
I was there for the last game of 2021 vs the Brewers and I used Gate A by accident. I had no issues at all, but I was there at 11:30 A.M. I would recommend getting there before the crowd comes, which can change depending on who they are playing.
Great video, thanks! How about a video on best value seats/section for watching a game at Dodgers Stadium.
Can we all chip in and buy this guy a headset and microphone from this century? Other than that, a lot of good information in this video. Well done! Remember folks, gate A and B are the BEST. Stay away from Gate C and D!!!
😂
Ever since I was a kid we would always go in through gate d. My dad would always go through there and I still go through there now.
I did the shuttle pick up/drop of from Union station a couple years back. If you don't mind cramming into a bus with people, its a great cheap way to get to the stadium.
Union station! Free bus to the Ravine!
I've been to Dodgers stadium a couple hundred times. I try to get there about one and a half hours before the game starts. That's how I meet the players and get autographs. After the game, I like to be one of the last people to leave, to avoid the traffic.
...and catch a ball during batting practice! You are a GREAT fan!!
Use your Chevrolegs 🤣🤣
My parents taught me back In the day. Get there early. I wanted the first Dodger dog. Those burnt stadium peanuts etc. Stay after the game to let the traffic clear. Hey D Mac cool power shuffle 😆😂😅😁⚾🌭❤️.
I haven't been since before the pandemic , but I used to use the Scott Ave gate which I guess is gate B. I found it less crowded entering and exiting back then. You exit the 5 by merging on to the South bound Glendale Fwy where it ends and becomes Glendale Bld. When leaving I take Glendale Blvd. North/ West and turn on Riverside going back to the SF Valley. You can hit the Red lion Inn before or after the game
Went to the game on the 16th and I've used Gate D for the past 6 to 7 years, now I know why there was more traffic than usual... the secret is out lol
My friends and I once took the Dodger stadium express from Union station and after the game we just walked all the way back to union station because the line to get on the bus was super long. Was actually quite a pleasant walk with it being all downhill and all.
How do u find the bus or how does it work if may ask?
@@la_gallada_ruiz9818 it’s super simple. Just park in the garage at union station and then follow the signs that say Dodger Stadium Express⬆️ or the other people in dodger gear, it’s a very common route. There’s a bus with a line of people at the main entrance next to Alameda street. They don’t check tickets or anything, you just simply hop on and it drops you off behind center field plaza. Then after the game you go right back behind center field plaza or behind top deck and it will drop you off at the same spot at Union station. Saves the hassle of dealing with traffic because the bud has its own lane all the way to the stadium plus parking is only 8 bucks at Union station rather than 30
@@angelmacias2084 so u think it's better if I do that then to park at LOT #13 #14 and walk the half mile to the stadium? Because I was going to park inside until I seen your video and I live way out in Riverside I don't want to be stuck in traffic
Wow the best video you ever made, good job.
No matter what entrance I go in through, I don’t listen to where they try to funnel me to. I will always make my way to a parking spot near the entrance/exit of that parking section. I’ll do this even if it means I’m walking further. At the end of the game, I can usually rush out, get to the car and leave Dodger stadium parking lot quite quickly and only face a little bit of traffic on the street. Works 99% of the time.
not a dodger stadium regular (only 3 games past year but one was the wild card game) so thanks for this video
My best one has to be Gate C imo. More traffic but easy to get back to the 110 or 5
I always park outside of gate C in front of that little park. Free and there’s security there all night so not bad. Just a little 5 minute walk from gate c to the entrance but worth it
Thanks!
Have taken Academy Road route off 110 fwy for 30+ years. Always with a good laugh as we drive past all the poor souls waiting forever on the Stadium Way exit.
Great video! Taking my son to his first dodger game! If I got Preferred Parking Lot F, is there a certain gate I need to enter?
OMG! This video saved us a TON of time and traffic. Thank you!!!! Just hope too many people don't watch this and find out about Gate D
Also Lilac Terrace is a residential area so you taking spots from residents & many have had their cars crunched from bad drivers trying to squeeze in on a hill ! Stay away from Lilac Terrace unless you want car damage .
Fun video luv the humor
What do you guys recommend if I'm going from Riverside? What gate should I use and what entrance should I enter
Great tips! If you want to eat at Philippe’s French dip for lunch, to get to the stadium, go up Broadway, turn left on Bishop which takes you to Gate E….easy. We left via Gate C. We had been to SoFi Stadium recently and were expecting the worst. These tips really helped us be back in O.C. in the same amount of time as when we had finally gotten to the Freeway after exiting a Concert at SoFi.
I normally just jump out of a plane and parachute into the entrance
Me: lives in Stockholm, Sweden
Also me: I better watch this just in case I’m ever in LA
Good Stuff D Mac
Thx for rockin' with us, Vince! Go Dodgers!
Coming in from Anaheim with Preferred in Lot P any recommendations for the best Gate for P from here?
It’s time for dodger baseball
I just got my tickets for the September 13th Dodger Stadium Tour and Game afterwards. How far if a walk is it from the Sunset A gate to the stadium?
We are thinking of buying the pregame tour or the regular tour and it says park at Gate A - If we go to the regular tour it is earlier and cheaper plus 90 minutes but the pregame tour costs more and 45 minutes but you get to get in the game early and watch them practice. But anyone know which tour is better? Also can we park at a different gate for the tour?
I smile when I look outside my grandma’s house because Dodger Stadium is right there 😊😊😊
I always use the solano entrance D I’m driving from el sereno so that works great although I hate when we get sent up to the Think blue hill that’s a nightmare to get out of at the end of the game when it’s packed as it’s one was up and one way down. Also the lower lot behind the gas station one way out is horrible but that’s dodger stadium.
Turn left and go out from Stadium Way if you're leaving from Gate D. Instead of turning right onto Academy Road turn left and take that to Stadium Way. I was at the game the other night and I'd say it took like 5-10 minutes once I left the gate to get onto the freeway
Thanks for burning the spots!
As a kid In the 80’s my pops would park behind the 76 gas station in the little ravine in the ravine 😂Classic tailgate parties When it was kool to do so. That was our secret spot… secret shit🤣
The worst part of parking at Chavez Ravine.......PAYING FRANK MCCOURT
Good video
Don’t park in Lilac Terrace , you will get towed it’s permit parking only now …
Honda Element!!! Go Dodgers!!!
In the 1970s thru 80s used to park by south exit gate a there used to be some free parking lot space but they closed it used to walk to stadium .
Elysian Park is the #1 not-so-secret secret when it comes to Dodger Stadium parking
Do you guys like going thru Bishops? Passing Cathedral High school?
Buy parking ticket ahead of time. It’s Cheaper. If running late or last minute ticket, park off sunset. Take an Uber into the stadium $4~6 (read Parking sign and where you park). It’s usually a 15-20 minute walk to vehicle at the end of the game.
I usually go to gate A but I go early enough to not really you have to wait but I have left late & got the traffic getting in 😂
Well Gate D's gonna be hell now... Thanks buddy
What headset are you using bro?
If my seats are in Left Field Pavilion, what gate do you guys recommend me going through?
Gate C
you can use gate A (lot 1 or 2)or Gate B (lot 2 or 3) or gate C (lot 3 or 4) if you want to be on the 3rd base side. but essentially you can park in any GA lot and enter any stadium and you can access you seat. the stadium is 360 accessible
We always park in lots 13-14 which always works out great for us, it's way cheaper and we're not stuck in traffic for an hour trying to get out of a jam packed parking lot. If you're out of shape I wouldn't park there, as it's a pretty good uphill walk. Of course leaving is a very nice downhill stroll.
How many minutes uphill?
@@steezer12 the short uphill walk takes about 10 minutes because of the steep grade and the traffic. It's a much easier walk to the Stadium after that.
if available because sometimes the lot isnt accessible to the public due to employees parking off site in 13 and 14 and lilac terrace.
Been to like 5 games since I commented. I always go lot 13. But you have to go through the city streets off the 110 . Tried going off the freeway once and traffic cops FORCED me to go to stadium parking. But walk is about 5-10 minutes uphill, and it leads straight to top deck.
What time should I get there?
A really helpful part 2 would be how traffic is funneled once you're inside a gate. the lot that you park in (GA) Is determined by what gate you enter.
A map of the parking lot with arrows showing traffic flow would be helpful.
when there is giveaways always come early lmao we open gates at 440 every time when game starts at 7.... and beware if you come late like at 6 or 7 you gonna be parked at the top of the hill lot 15 and that's a 10 minute walk to the stadium lol
Damn!! I thought I was the only one that knew!!!
So if I purchase general admission, all I need to do is enter through gate D and C?
Yup - found this the day after, lol
Does anyone know what the 2022 price is for lots 13 & 14 right outside of the sunset gate?
5 dollars They appcept cash and card
@@freddygomez5019 Thanks!
@@saltywalt57 anytime
if available on gameday, on high attendance games employees are sent to 13 and 14. filling the lot. but not always.
Dam bro, all the way from SM?? You definitely have to leave 2-3hours before the game starts because i work over there and the traffic aint no joke… but i live in south central, all i do is take broadway and get 3rd street to get the freeway, i get there in like 30 minutes from my house to the stadium
Any advantages getting out of the stadium if you park in Preferred Parking?
We don’t have parking gates in “ The City.” We have one big parking lot and it’s easy to access. I take the train to the game and walk 1/4 mile to the ballpark. The most beautiful ballpark in America. Giants fans enjoying seeing Kershaw give up 6 runs in the first inning last night. 5 runs before there was an out.
I always end up in Gate E for some reason. No issues at all. Traffic is meh but no longer than 15 min to enter the gate.
Thank you for not mentioning my secret free parking. I can usually beat 95 percent of the cars getting away, but you have to be in shape to walk briskly (or run in places) from the loge section to the car. You have to get there early to get a free spot.
Man I want to know now…. Teasing us ):
I also know a secret place to park for free. I haven’t paid for parking since the year 2003.
@@adanerazo6678 where? :D
Downtown Gate if coming from Orange County.
Any tips if you will be arriving at dodger stadium on a motorcycle?
I use Metro from Union Station. Free ride!!!!! And they also have separate lane for themselves to get to Dodgers stadium!!!!!
Tbh I just hop on the red line to union station or make friends who live at echo park and ask them if it’s cool if I can park my car at their house. There’s a lot of great deals to eat at before and after the games
Sin Vergüenza
I get there when the parking lot gates open, enter via gate B (Scott Ave), pay for preferred lot F, and it’s a short stroll to the LF Loge entrance where my seat section is. Preferred isn’t cheap, but it’s worth it because you have perfect access to the inner roadway, and exiting via gates D or E from there is a snap. My seats have Stadium Club access and if I know I’ll be spending quality time at the Club, I’ll park in preferred lot K and use the RF Loge entrance (it used to be you could use the Suite Level entrance next to the RF Loge entrance, but you now have to have Suite access to use that entrance-sucks).
i assume you buy your lot f pass ahead of time because they dont sell preferred at the gates anymore
@@allgoeswrong yep-more convenient besides. It sticks in my craw that the Angels only charge $20 for THEIR preferred parking.
@@robjaimes8830 because they dont own the stadium
@@robjaimes8830yeah, it’s cheaper but then you have to watch the Angels play. Outside of Ohtani and Trout, not competitive.
Union Station Express is the way to go
You forgot about street parking on Academy, which has the most spaces available to park out of any of the streets around the stadium.
🤫
Snitches get stitches 🤫
@@ibestrokin Boylston and Lylac was the secret. Everybody knows about Academy.
Is that street parking generally safe? Anyone heard of break-ins?
It’s my first time in California in the last 24 years. Going to see Fluffys show at Dodgers this Saturday May 7. Since my hotel is near downtown, this hope should help me haha 🥴😹 I’m flying from Texas just to come see the show lol
Update: Show was great but those line were insane just coming in! A show I’ll never forget attending!
That makes two of us lol. Going this Saturday’s also. First time going to dodger stadium and I’d suggest getting there 4 or 5 hours early because LA traffic sucks. Have fun in California dude coming from a California native. You’ll love it!
@@Silvxr9 4-5 hours?! Well not bad, since it’s just one day I’ll probs nap in my hotel then leave. Hopefully I can grab a quite bite in time as well. Thank you!
@@jorgenvonstrangle000 yeah unfortunately it scares the out of state peeps when they see the traffic 😂 but unfortunately this is what we native Californians endure 😅
@@Silvxr9Dodger Stadium parking gates only open 2.5 hrs before the game starts, Stadium gates open 2 hrs before. So you can’t actually go in 4-5 hours before. But you can get to the general area, have some food in Chinatown, Downtown, Glendale, Hollywood, or Silverlake, but plan to leave accordingly to get to your preferred gate. Saves some time if you have time to spare to get to area ahead of time. That does avoid freeway traffic around rush hour for night games.
You missed on secret parking spot by Gate C but parking is pretty limited so I won't spoil it for myself
Can you do a video what are the best tickets to sit. At dodger stadium
It's on our list!!
@Philly Gomez The best seat location during day games are in 101LG/102LG above row E. Seats above row E are in the shade the entire game.
Second that!
Park in echo park below stadium....gives you an excuse to walk back to shortstop and have another drink.
I always take the free shuttle from union station
Are you driving a Honda element?
What entrance to use for rv's?
you can use gate A and access lot 12 right away on your right hand side
So Gate E for top deck?? I don't wanna walk much..
This! 👌
Well, I guess these "secrets" are not so secret anymore! LOL!
Right
NOOO NOT THE SECRETS OF GATE D !! 😭😭😭 now that is going to be the worst gate to get into 😂😂
This gate is hell now
Hasn't been a secret for years
well sorry to burst your bubble the stadium funnels traffic to that gate if the other are saturated.
I just get the bus at Union Station, in and out quick
Downtown gate FTW 🤬🤬🤬
Funny how i got this recommendation because I'm going to afternoon game vs D'Backs
Uber to the Shortstop and then walk up the hill
Just tried Gate D and will never, Eva Eva take that gate again. After entering I was led up a hill to park. Walking back up that was a motha. I’ll just stick to gate A in the future. Better parking to exit
Don't be lazy. Park as far away as possible. Then when you're walking to the stadium you know who that everybody else is lazy.
Go an hour before the game... Nobody is there... Leave after the 9th inning...You will find your car easily... Nobody is there...
Any handicap parking tips?
Technically you could get Gen admission parking at $27 and park in closest handicap parking, Disabled parking spaces are located in parking lots B, D, F, G, K, L, N, & P.
You would want to park in Lot H, G, L or I for outfield pavilion or field level seats where most of the handicapped accessible seats are located. also access to left or right field bleachers for batting practice but I don’t know if those are now handicap accessible, mostly stairs there, check Dodgers’ stadium page for more info.
Much easier to walk around to either foul pole side with the upper walkway around the bleacher end of stadium now.
If you are going to loge level or higher, then find handicapped parking in lot closest to your side of the stadium. They do have elevators to help go from one level to another but can have waits.
I like Gate E
Have micheladas made it to $30 yet? Last time I went it was $24 🤣
Gate E stands for Elite parking
Cant go wrong
I will go to the stadium on july 26th hope it will be ok
