Lao shi hao! Just want to say thank you so much. Your videos help alot to me. My employer enrolled me in a night pure mandarin class i was like Oh no! . 😂 Been working in taiwan for 2 years, i understand and speak a little. Im a filipino btw. I've really learn alot from you. God Bless you. 💚
Ive learned a lot from you teacher Katrina. I am very thankful of you in every videos u made. These give me additional knowledge in mandarin. I was previously been in Taiwan but I'd learned only a little mandarin before. But when I watched your videos these give me a lot of knowledge. I'm hoping we will meet soon in Taiwan 😀😀😀
Yes, because your English is very clear and & you explained it one by one. Aside from that, you speak slowly so your teachings are understandable. You are the best mandarin teacher for me
I had no idea that 没 was used in these circumstances like "I didn't do something". The only rule I learned a long time ago is that 有 is *always* negated by 没, never by 不. Is the "I didn't + verb" always used in the recent past? That's how it seems to be used in the examples. "I didn't lose weight" (recently), "I didn't smoke (recently), but I otherwise do smoke." I guess "I USED to smoke, but don't anymore" would probably be a different sentence from these examples. Very helpful, new subscriber, long time learner (picked up bits and pieces over the years), but just never seemed to have the time to really dedicate to it. I really need the ear training, I have a fair bit of trouble always distinguishing the tones when said at more than a slow speed 😅
谢谢你老师! You’re practical videos makes me learn a lot after my basic Mandarin tutorial ended. I want to learn Mandarin basic foundations like this especially the grammar so I can form sentences well. Sending hearts from PH 💕
Thank you Katrina so so much! I have been learning for almost a year and your videos are the best and easiest to learn. I really appreciate what you have done for us!!! Wo xiwang yi hou neng zai Taiwan jian dao Ni!
Hello teacher Katrina, may I ask you a favor? Can you make a video lesson about amusements in Taiwan. There is certain amusement in taiwan but I don't know what do you called it. It is usually seen at provinces. The one machine that includes gadgets , stuff toys, writch watch, headsets, etc. We called it wawa but I don't know what it be called in Chinese
沒+ADJ as a "change" was new to me!! So stuck with 沒有 and the 'past' meaning 😅. i will try a sentence. He has not drank beer for 4 yrs, so he did not gain weight. 他没喝啤酒了四年,所以他沒胖。😂
@@smartmandarinkatrinalee 😔😔我不明白。。in an interview w/famous Hong Kong Chef, he used Mandarin to say: 我在北京過了三年。 i lived in Beijing 3 yers. Time length after the verb. i used this structure here. HSK1 teaches time period before verb generally, as you corrected me. but in your past video you corrected me that time duration was after the verb in the sentence "i studied Chinese for .5 yrs". so i used the pattern where duration was after the verb here.
