Jia is one of my favorite characters-so scheming and well acted! Xin Zhilei did an incredible job in her role, especially in this scene.
As much as I want to feel happy that she finally got her own, I can only feel pity.
Every woman was just fighting to survive. Fighting for good placement after the emperor's death, fighting for the attention of a man who never truly cared for them and would betray them at whim.

She was an evil witch, but with a tender heart beneath. A truly well-written, flawed, yet strong character.

I think that yes, based on the 'the story of yangxin palace', if i didn't remember wrong, the emperor is someone who always use people. The wives is just a pawn for him. But, that covered by his handsome face. So, in back i didn't notice that. But, now, his real character is just like that.

Meanwhile he had a country, multiple women with clans to appease, those clans needed manpower, money, and land and in addition to that plots of death from various others. He stayed out of harem politics because it was wise. Most stories of these men mainly neglected the harem, but neighbored with their clans for land, jobs and money. At most these women died sexless and of boredom....and sometimes each other. Even Hugh Hefner knew when to fade into the shadows of his own home.
@@patricew.4010 Whoever came up with the harem idea for the emperor was probably an idiot and an a&&hole Lmao The person really underestimated what people with greed for power would do to each other when they were all placed together under a single roof. And they were all fighting for a single trophy, the emperor. Chaos and violence was bound to happen.
How differently would Jia had acted if she was not blinded for her love for his lordship?
Would she have still killed to have the first son after the emperor's ascension? Would she have still plotted to become the next empress? Would she have pushed her son to become the next emperor?
I fear the politics of the harem would lead to the same actions.

I had the same thoughts too. But here's mine.
If Jia didn't so blinded by her love to the Yu's Lord, she may still kill and scheming. But I think she won't be so blinded to have her child ascend the throne just to please her clan. Also, Jia doesn't seem interested to take the empress's seat so most likely she would ally herself with ruyi & hailan and the funny thing is she would also rival Hailan. Allied herself with Ruyi doesn't make her loyal to Ruyi but at least she has a very secure position. Jia don't care about the emperor's affection as well... she can put her son on the throne but maybe... just maybe she won't kill Ruyi's child.
I think she will still have been the same - scheming and killing others to secure her place. Her motivations would probably be to survive the palace so she would justify the killings.
Imagine in an alternate universe, Jia befriends Ruyi. Bam, unstoppable trio.

I know that jia, first empress, consort hui and wei yanwan are bad people and I should hate them. But the more I think about them I pity them. In fact all women of forbidden City have suffered so much. No wonder ruyi did not wish to become empress. All she wanted was Love. And getting Love is next to impossible in palace. I would happily choose commoner life than Royal life.
密折內容在劇中應該是一樣的，應該是道具組的問題，畢竟劇中有金氏去確定王爺筆跡的橋段
不知道是不是想呼應金玉妍之前利用字跡來陷害如懿和大師
可能劇情安排，冷諷金氏筆跡的過往；如懿傳其實有很多很呼應的內容，蠻細膩的，而且通常要刷過幾回才看得出來。
但最好笑的是阿箬啞了跪在雪地的橋段，感覺她一直想說ㄍㄋㄋ(髒)
