I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for this guy. Coming in for most of the second half of the season when Manning went out with injury was huge. Without him, there's a very fair chance that the 2015 team doesn't win the super bowl that year. At least as far as I can tell.
every Bronco fan owes this man a debt of gratitude for his hard work in 2015. That was my all time favorite Bronco team. I agree about that OT win over the Pats - that easily is one of the most memorable regular season games I ever watched (and I wasn't there). That game is made all the more memorable due to the nature of that season.

It really is a shame he left, he did so well with Denver and i really thought he'd be Peytons successor but.. money talks i guess. Ill always remember him beating Tom Brady in the snow where everybody played their hearts out.
Did neither of you watch the video? It was his agents. He said he wish he didn’t listen to his agents and if it was up to him, he would’ve been a bronco not a Texan
@Johnathan Spore if a company offered you 5 times what your getting paid at your current job... you would even think twice to take the offer... of course it was about the money and each one of us would of done the same shit
He basically tantrumed his way out of a good situation, went to the worst team situations possible and never recovered. The lesson many of us have to learn is don't mess with a good thing just to satisfy your pride.
However, he still made more money than most of us ever will in a relatively short amount of time. Made 4 million in 5 years worth the Broncos then 37 million over the next three seasons before retiring. Under pretty much any other circumstances, that's a win.
I remember that game, but NOT in a good way. I about blew a gasket at the Patrick Chung holding call near the end of regulation of that game. One of the worst calls of that season. Don’t get me wrong it’s not why we lost. We had no business losing a two-touchdown lead in the first place. But yeah, my now ex wife was kinda displeased with me for blowing a gasket like that.
Brock went to my high school and when I was a senior he donated 230k for a new weight room and it looks super dope. Tons of Broncos and Super Bowl 50 stuff around too
He gave it his all, played to the limit of his ability, got some lucky breaks, had a few understandable emotional reactions (getting unfairly benched in the middle of a Super Bowl run had to be awful), and made some understandable bad decisions (I would have told him to take that huge Texans paycheck). He seems like a happy guy and as others have said, he has a great job, a beautiful wife, a championship, and a mountain of money. He did fine for himself.
Agree with everything except the part of him being benched. Ultimately that decision was the right call. At that time, Denver just needed a consistent QB that would play smart and limit turnovers. The defense they had was ridiculous so as long as they didn't turn it over, they had a good chance of winning. 95% of coaches would have probably made the same call. It was unfortunate but Brock should have seen himself as the next guy knowing Peyton was going to retire. Sometimes we have to put our ego to the side.
@@jotac87278 also, we gotta remember, this is PEYTON MANNING. Doesn’t matter if he played bad that year. I always felt like Peyton was gonna be the starter during that post season run.
That win in Indianapolis will always be special for me. As a Broncos fan in the Hoosier state, that is the one time I've been able to see Denver win a game in person. That was a long streak that came to an end, as the Broncos hadn't won a game in Indianapolis since Jake Plummer was quarterback.
Like many other all-time greats, Elway has no eye for talent evaluation. He’s looking for guys who remind himself of him, without the context to recognize that he was a guy who didn’t need much coaching up.
We passed on Russell Wilson for Jack Elways college roommate. Years later we gutted the team for Wilson. Elway was a great QB but he sure couldn't draft one. To be fair, we've yet to draft an elite QB. Cutler is the best we've managed in modern times.

As a Texans fan, this is where I point to when asked when my team started to go so downhill. A large contract that was traded away after only 1 year, wasting prime JJ Watt and Deondre Hopkins. It still stings
How was Brock joining Texans the beginning of the downfall? The 2016 team still made playoffs. Would the Texans have been better off with Keenum or Hoyer? Also in 2016 and '17 Watt was injured. They still made playoffs in '18 and '19 so how did Brock's contract ruin things? Not getting other pieces?
@@CC-rb1yfyeah I have no idea what he’s going on about. Considering that 2017 - 2021 the Texans had Deshaun Watson. When it comes to playoffs the Texans are either losing in the wild card or get destroyed in the divisional round.

Brock Osweiler has something that a lot of great QBs don't have: a super bowl ring. While he didn't start that game, he's part of the reason they even made it. Remember He Beat Tom Brady Once And Nearly Twice In The Playoffs
Sounds like he was actually very fortunate. As a Donkey fan, I always thought he did the best he could. He saved the 2015 season, for which I am grateful. It's not his fault that he was drafted too high.
The reason why Broncos had home field in afc championship against the pats which was a huge momentum shifter 💯 👍🏿😩🥜
I’m really liking these videos lol you think you’d ever do more on QBs from other teams?
Just ordered the 8-bit shirt! My husband will be happy on Christmas... And then me a month later when I steal it 😉
14:00 One day he’ll be a great quarterback for the Bengals
You must be feeling buyer's remores to release a video about how not crappy osweiller instead of how great that defence was and how dumb everyone was to sign/trade for him. Do a balls deep on 2013 seahawks defence vs 2015 broncos defence
Not signing Brock was Elway’s first Mortal sin. The second was picking Paxton Lynch. The third was picking Chubb over Allen. These Mortal sins, along with the absence of competent ownership has steered this org into the abyss. You could see all this coming way back in 2015…and here we are.
Paton and Hackett are still vestiges of this old, failed regime and must be cleared out to finally remove the rot.
Don’t disagree, other than not including Mr. Unlimited in the rot, and y’all are stuck with him for the long term.
Allen would have busted
John Elway singlehandedly killed the Broncos and they have yet to recover.
@@Aburner960 you’re not wrong. Elway still should’ve picked him. I think he didn’t like the fact that Allen is Elway reincarnated. But yes, VJ and Vic would’ve ruined him anyway
In a alternative reality where he never leaves and broncos don’t suck and miss the playoffs every since SB 50, including a legendary 2022 where they made even Russ look terrible. Proud Broncos fan right here
He saved the Cowboys. Cause we would've drafted Paxton Lynch. Pretty sure one of the picks offered in the trade was the 4th rounder used on Prescott
As the great Donnie Baker says, "Hindsight is 50-50."
