Agree with everything except the part of him being benched. Ultimately that decision was the right call. At that time, Denver just needed a consistent QB that would play smart and limit turnovers. The defense they had was ridiculous so as long as they didn't turn it over, they had a good chance of winning. 95% of coaches would have probably made the same call. It was unfortunate but Brock should have seen himself as the next guy knowing Peyton was going to retire. Sometimes we have to put our ego to the side.

I recently discovered your channel and love your videos. Great script, funny memes, solid analysis as a fan, and makes me remember all those players and games. If you only had an 8 bit Dolphins Tshirt.

Oh wow. Saw Brock a couple of weeks ago. I thought he was still playing for the Broncos. Asked him if he still plays for the Broncos. He was like, "No, I am with these guys now still doing work for the NFL".

To be fair, Texans had a real shot to beat New England in 2016 with Brock at the helm. I was surprised they didn’t after forcing 3 interceptions.

I will never speak badly about Brock. When The Sheriff went down in 2015, he kept the ship afloat and won a lot of key games that got them the homefield advantage they had to have to get to the Super Bowl (seriously, do any among us think the Broncos would win the AFC title game if it's in New England?). I'll buy him a beer if I ever see him, and I'll never blame him for being angry at Denver for benching him.

because of his height, there were times when the broncos would put him on the field goal unit (defense) if it was a game deciding kick. the one I specifically recall is when the Pats beat the Broncos in OT in a Sunday night game in 2013 with a field goal.

If the Broncos had kept Brock, I think things would have turned out a lot better for both parties.
Brock would have stayed with a team where he knew the system and had players around him he had a good connection with.
The Broncos would have had much-needed stability at QB. They would have been able to build on what they had with Brock rather than jump on the QB Carousel.

Except he wouldn’t have gotten paid to stay in Denver the way he got paid to sign with Houston.

You must be feeling buyer's remores to release a video about how not crappy osweiller instead of how great that defence was and how dumb everyone was to sign/trade for him. Do a balls deep on 2013 seahawks defence vs 2015 broncos defence

  • @RecoveringMidwit

Not signing Brock was Elway’s first Mortal sin. The second was picking Paxton Lynch. The third was picking Chubb over Allen. These Mortal sins, along with the absence of competent ownership has steered this org into the abyss. You could see all this coming way back in 2015…and here we are.
Paton and Hackett are still vestiges of this old, failed regime and must be cleared out to finally remove the rot.
