Montreal has the mesh bolted to the bottom of bridges like it's the roof of a mine about to cave in. But I never saw the bridge under a bridge thing there or anywhere else.
My dad, his dad before him, and now me: same exact reactions; same unexpectedly clever zingers. What a bewildering bunch of contradictory people this town produces: huge hearts, friendly and welcoming, down to earth (as a principle), yet still totally cynical, suspicious of being scammed, and born with an innate sense of irony. I love it. Wouldn't trade that combination for the world. Maybe that's partly why people who move here or even visit almost always fall in love with the place. I dunno.
Brandon Cleary I lived in the Pittsburgh area for 2 years in the early 90's while attending college there (I grew up in the NYC area). I absolutely hated It. I didn't find the people overly nice the way you speak of. The people were friendly enough, but a little backwards. The perpetual cloudiness, especially during the winters, was depressing as well. I eventually transferred to a college elsewhere because I couldn't stand to be there anymore. I had to break up with the girl I was dating at the time (She was from the North Hills) because she would never consider leaving and wanted me to move back after graduating. I've travelled all across the country, but have had absolutely no desire to go back to Pittsburgh. Haven't been back in almost 30 years. I personally found the place pretty depressing with not much to offer culturally, but that's just me. I live in Chicago now and I'm much happier. It was never my cup of tea, but I do admire people's loyalty to living and staying in western PA.
" You're supposed to slow dahn for tunnels." "But the sign says MAINTAIN SPEED!" "Yeah, but you're still supposed to slow dahn for tunnels." -actual exchange. I know a yinzer who argued with an (off-duty) trooper about it!
This is one of my favorites!!! :) The best line is "I swear there's only two things people in this tawn are afraid of tunnels...and Tom Brady!" 1:44 is such a beautiful sight of Pittsburgh!!!
That part made me laugh. I worked in Oakland when they first built that thing. When I finally figured out it was a bridge to catch falling pieces of the other bridge, I couldn't believe it.
Totally forgot about you watching for a while and then I forgot and now I'm subscribed to you you doing awesome job I'll keep watching thank you very much Teresa from Oil City PA
I live in Philly and we got all the same issues with our roads, penndot has been working on I-95 through Philly for over a decade now, every day freaking ridiculous traffic
Love this one so much -- gave me a few good belly laughs. Just visited my folks in the 'burgh and made many trips from the South Hills to the North Side -- the tunnel situation is the same as ever! And PennDOT never changes! Thanks!
I lived on Whipple St in Swissvale as a very small child. Our china cabinet would rattle several times a day from them blasting for the Squirrel Hill tunnel. I'm 63 and they are still building the Parkway. LOL . 63 years and it still sucks.
So great to see that the Burgh's roads haven't changed ! I used to say that men could hit the tunnels better if they put public hair around the opening !! Lol I love the view coming out of the Fort Pitt, especially when I exited at night !! Thanks Pgh Dad !! :D
Should've included the nightmare of Cranberry Twp with traffic because lord knows if people could drive it would be a miracle! This is by far the funniest one Ive seen in a while. When people get mad at me while driving I usually get beside them and just smile and wave
They should put on the traffic alert signs when there's a home game. Geez, Phillies were in town last Saturday and I was stuck daaahn taaahn for haaarz watching the lights change.
One morning the Penn Dot Boss had to tell the guys that the tool truck forget to load the shovels . He said sorry boys ,you're just gonna have to lean on each other today!!
My grandfather always said that in Pittsburgh, there is no straight point between point A and point B, and if there is, it is under construction.
This is the only city I know that instead of fixing a bridge they build a second one under it to catch it incase it falls. Hahahaha
I didn't know that other towns for fixed them right away
Both fell
Montreal has the mesh bolted to the bottom of bridges like it's the roof of a mine about to cave in. But I never saw the bridge under a bridge thing there or anywhere else.
Right! Lmao
Some things never change or get fixed, oh Pittsburgh, I have memories of potholes in1970 that are still there only larger!!!🙏👌✨👻❣️
"There only two things people in this town fear tunnel and Tom Brady"
Classic.
"you don't even need Bane to shut down Gotham City, just send out Penndot in there!" hell, this entire thing is my family and my life. haha.
Lol me also my friend.
My dad, his dad before him, and now me: same exact reactions; same unexpectedly clever zingers. ***** Perfect description of us Pittsburgh area people!
What a perfect comment describing our beloved city.

“Every one of those penndot guys is sittin’ down, just eattin’ lunch!” Hilarious!
I visit Pittsburgh, and this is exactly how I feel when I travel around the city. The bridge to catch the falling bridge...priceless!
I drove under that; pretty sure it’s been fixed now, though! 👍
I clapped when he came out of the Fort Pitt tunnel, too! 😅 Always a great sight! 🙌
I remember the first time I drove through Ft Pitt tunnel on my way to Pitt. Beautiful vista! I fell in love with this town right then and there.
Pittsburgh Dad videos will never get old....EVER
" You're supposed to slow dahn for tunnels."
"But the sign says MAINTAIN SPEED!"
"Yeah, but you're still supposed to slow dahn for tunnels."

Lol, they build a second bridge to catch it, if it falls. LMAO!
“What a surprise, Maryland plate” lol we here in Maryland kinda tend to say the same thing about Pennsylvanians😂
No us Marylanders hate Pennsylvanians cuz they can’t drive
Noah 27 you don’t live in Jersey and deal with NY drivers. wayy worse then PA drivers.
This is one of my favorites!!! :) The best line is "I swear there's only two things people in this tawn are afraid of tunnels...and Tom Brady!" 1:44 is such a beautiful sight of Pittsburgh!!!
Four seasons: Winter. More Winter. Construction. Stink bugs.
I love this guy.
OMG you are so darn hilarious you make my day hope you are this funny on a regular basis❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😂
That part made me laugh. I worked in Oakland when they first built that thing. When I finally figured out it was a bridge to catch falling pieces of the other bridge, I couldn't believe it.
No, Deb. I ain't getting any of that road rage.
*Twelve seconds later*
(bleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep)
"You don't need Bane to shut down Gotham City. Just send PennDOT in there" lmfao
The Michael Douglas "Falling Down" reference was awesome. Lol I feel that way all the time I'm stuck in traffic. Classic movie
LOVE THIS ONE!!!!! Especially since I have to deal with two tunnels and two parkways
"Seat reclined like it's a dentist chair!" LOL that's the first time I've heard that one but that's great, hahahaha.
Best video yet. Great work, Chris and Curt!
Pittsburgh dad deserves 100,000 subs
PA, the state that detours you from a construction zone into a construction zone. 😂
Pa the tooth shaken brain rattlin pot hole state.

The censored cussing had me laughing the hardest. Loved this vid!
Truer words were never spoken
This was the best one yet.
I drive to Pittsburgh alot for work, their is so much accuracy in this skit! Especially on 76
not enough accuracy in your grammar though...
Sophie Grammar & spelling police are here.
Yet another classic! Nothing but the Pittsburgh Truth!
Omg! He is so funny. You made my crapy day better..thanks for the good laugh.
LOVE this one! It's been many years since I've lived in Pgh - but some things never change - "Welcome to PA, our left lane is closed" :)

Every time I've gone to Pittsburgh there is this one road they are ALWAYS working on!
This is one of your funniest episodes! Love it!
I love that I know which roads he talks about and where he is when he shows

Another great episode!
Never fails. We always held our breathe and almost died as a kid
I live in Philly and we got all the same issues with our roads, penndot has been working on I-95 through Philly for over a decade now, every day freaking ridiculous traffic
Is it bad I recognized every place he flipped out about? It is really that bad in Pittsburgh :P
Yes.
Yes yes it is
Yup its true
traffic is bad near squirrel hill and like same
It’s a ‘Burgh thing to complain about PennDot and construction! It keeps you from getting road rage!
This is very relatable.
I’m gonna be falling down like Michael Douglas here in a minute, it’s so true 😂😂😂
I love it. Reminds me of my Pap. That line about the 4 seasons in Pittsburgh is the best. LMAO
Love this one so much -- gave me a few good belly laughs. Just visited my folks in the 'burgh and made many trips from the South Hills to the North Side -- the tunnel situation is the same as ever! And PennDOT never changes! Thanks!
PITTSBURGH DAD, REMINDS ME OF MY UNCLE GARRY, GOD REST HIS SOUL!!
I lived on Whipple St in Swissvale as a very small child. Our china cabinet would rattle several times a day from them blasting for the Squirrel Hill tunnel. I'm 63 and they are still building the Parkway. LOL . 63 years and it still sucks.

Loved it!! Wish you'd do Dad goes to deer camp this year!
I was waiting for him to say Jagoff...Well worth the wait
That pretty much sums up the feelings of most Pittsburghers when it comes to driving 'round here
You're amazing Kurt!!!
Lmao I'm losing it XD. This pretty much sums up the Parkway and Fort Pitt Tunnels very accurately though.
So great to see that the Burgh's roads haven't changed ! I used to say that men could hit the tunnels better if they put public hair around the opening !! Lol I love the view coming out of the Fort Pitt, especially when I exited at night !! Thanks Pgh Dad !! :D
I life near pittsburgh and there's almost every single time I visit they have dang traffic. 😂
You can't get there from here -- we say it EVERY time we go to Pittsburgh -- or almost anywhere in this area!
Pennsylvania is infamous for its crappy roads. Ps: I live in eastern PA
My area is nothing but a patchwork now
Love from plum borough.
Should've included the nightmare of Cranberry Twp with traffic because lord knows if people could drive it would be a miracle! This is by far the funniest one Ive seen in a while. When people get mad at me while driving I usually get beside them and just smile and wave
Great work. It's been 9 years since I lived in the burgh. Good to see construction looks the same. Lol.
Hahaha you were right by my house! This video resonated with me so much. 😂
Love this...I hope my kids remember me like this...some people see this as making fun of dad...I see it as stuff that dad gets away with! lol
Great one!
He said I'm gonna be Falling Down like Michael Douglas in a minute.. LLS!

Maryland, Ohio, Mount Lebonan, this guy has a prejudice against everything 🤣
They should put on the traffic alert signs when there's a home game. Geez, Phillies were in town last Saturday and I was stuck daaahn taaahn for haaarz watching the lights change.
"You can't get there from here." Classic!
Love it. This is how I feel every time I leave the house lol.
